@@TheGuitarislove it's does when you're talking about the 60s and 70s, sorry but 99% of artists today have 10% of the talent the average artist did back then.
Just because hip hop and pop have taken over doesn’t mean there isn’t any talent, it just needs some time to take the spotlight. And even some of the hip hop and pop artists have that talent. I think we just need to find it, it’s out there somewhere
Went to see him from Detroit, bought an extra ticket for my mom even tho she’s no longer with us he was her fav seeing him was the best thing that’s happened to me❤
This is amazing. What this man can do with just his voice and a guitar never ceases to knock me over. No one writes a song like he can. Cant wait to see him in London and Glasgow next year.
You surely jest there is nothing less than his perfection..even when Mr.M is telling another goofy joke..he's charming and true ..Hard to remember that he is a living legend and in just barely in the prime of his awesome ever evolving career .I'm so grateful that such an amazing artist, whom arouses my only smile regardless of how my life throws some wacka do left field foul moments the simple way a tune will bloom out of the (haha) wild blue & that Mr Mayer brings a smile that only one lifetime owns and it's beauty in the anonymity of this gift . I'm grateful for each & every note and the crowd is singing along and you see Mr.Mayer just absorbing the whole road he has traveling &the crowd of loyal fans sing his song ..WOW and still sharing his artistry & the awe his presence excudes w/ tints of that duh look like "I can't believe they know the song they're singing it and I made it & is all this for me or is ..oh yeah I think he's humbly saying self" you know what I found the Way to be me .. a humble man ,who figured out how to forget to remember his songs lyrics ..once in a wild blue .o.ent hah "what was that next verse is it ,haha no worries cous, your loyal fans will ever and always be there to sing along.haha🎸💫 Z
This interestingly reminds me of those old videos where Bob Dylan held crowds of people spellbound with just his voice and guitar. John’s got a similar thing going. Happy to be alive to experience this.
Thanks for capturing that. This is JM's wheelhouse IMO. I don't think he will ever get the recognition he deserves, because so many people wrote him off as a womanizer and egomaniac who was eaten up with stardom. The truth is, if many people in his position had their antics go public, it wouldn't be a much different of story. The difference is that he owns it, and at least appears to have learned from it, and has moved on. Here's the thing...no one is a better singer-songwriter right now. No one. He's moved over to pop somewhat, but look at what all he's done. Started off as a band accompanied acoustic guitarist, moved to playing electric in a more conventional way, then toured with a 3-person band playing blues, and for a while landed back at more of a pop venture, seemingly focused more on vocal performance than guitar work. Then....he just up and decides to do a solo acoustic tour, and by all accounts, is killing it every night. He's near the top in talent in every category. Acoustic playing, songwriting, electric guitar, and vocals. And maybe he's not the best at any of those, but who else can do ALL of those things as well as him? Nobody. I love the choices he makes musically...and to me that's what defines how I view musical artists. It's not by their technical proficiency nearly as much as it is the soul and intrigue.
I believe some of that indirect shaming on behalf of Taylor Swift fans also has something to do with him not being gracefully introduced to the younger audience. All artists deserve to have their art judged separate from these shenanigans. John is one of the best of our time.

This man is incredible, closest thing anyone born in the last 40 years will experience to real 60s and 70s talent and creativity period
Perfect comment! This guy is a different thing, is the last one.
Talent does not have a time period.
What are your favorite artists outside of John Mayer? Could be singers from the old days too

This man is the soundtrack to my life
Dude refuses to age. So talented.
What an artist, man. His Solo Atlanta show is easily the best concert I've ever been to.
He’s going to come to Charrlotte in October. Can’t wait to see it even more since it was so good!
Unfortunately I missed the solo tour but saw him for Search For Everything tour in 2017 and it was 1000% best show I've ever seen

John Mayer is also a hilarious dude. Great communicator.

Damn He sang all of these perfectly.

He has been magic since like 1996! ❤ Glad the new school is getting a clue.
He looks so happy on this tour and that makes me happy. I'm hoping to see him in October in Atlanta.
John is awesome personified. He's the best that ever did it.
This is so amazing, really wish I could have been there
❤ Just when I thought I was completely fed up of Daughters, I hear this and it totally changes my mind and perspective of this song. ❤

John is absolutely a legend!
A living legend !
I thought it was St. Patrick’s Day when he started playing Daughters. St. PD is such an underrated song. That would’ve been a throwback
Just found that one the other day... What a great song, I've got it on repeat
he played st patrick's day a day after the actual st. patrick's day on this tour
Man, how good is that "Something like Olivia" performance. I just slides right into the mood and does it right.
What a legend. Saw him in Pittsburgh earlier this year -- what a tremendous artist; God bless him lol
This is AMAZING
Absolutely amazing every clip of this tour I see such a huge fan of his
Love this John!!!!!
awesome. so stoked to see him in oct fml
How was it?
it was amazing. he slays live.
Miracle man

Not to mention touring with Dead & Co for years as well
I concur and it is truly awesome to be alive in the same lifetime of a touring living legend ,truly a life gift to this girl🎸💫Z
Concordo!
cant forget what hes done with dead and co! I know its none of his originals but his guitar work with dead and co is some of my fav.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ok the ending of Waiting on the Day pissed me off.. How does he make a basic D C G progression sound so good? Incredible
Right!! He's insane man, I mean he pretty.much invented his own "J" chord
You know it ! Mr.Mayer is the master of the song he makes his way .too cool.thank you the"J"chord,.right on 🎸💫Z.
He's the man !! 🎸💫Z
9:21 lying in a hammock in 🇨🇦perfection
His catalog is kind of insane. Like if you are even a casual john mayer fan he has 50 bangers (mood dependent.) 50 might be low.
He not just a noodle a guitar he is artist play and sing
How bout that Martin sound?
I was at this show! My one complaint is that he didn't hit the chorus for My Stupid Mouth! Feels like holding in a sneeze. Great concert though!
TY F Her 💯👌
Here YA 👏 ⬆️⬇️⬅️➡️
when was this concert ? in 2023 ? I thought he is with along hair right now. 😂
What is name of the second song?
My Stupid Mouth!
👀 Scrolling and hoping St Patrick's Day is in the medley... But Alas it's not
so many mayer songs in D major
Wtf when did he start playing harp too?
Like 15 years ago
Born n raised
Harmonica, long time ago, has been wearing the Harmonica for years doing shows
The free invisalign sign was rude
He doesn’t know how good he is? Or does he?
In the old days, people did not sing with the artist. It's really annoying. You tend to hear their hideous voices instead of the artist. Weird.
On video sure it’s annoying. In the moment it tends to create quite a nice atmosphere tho, so I don’t mind it.
Yes they did, its an experience you’re in it. You don’t notice it. Maybe you’re just old and senile. An observation if you will.

I will only say that if I paid good money, I'd want to hear the artist. But I am also guilty of singing along to my favorites, so there is that!
@@maddierosemusic if you can’t hear the artist with the people singing there’s a problem. The artist is almost always the loudest thing
