    You can achieve a similar look by alternating front post double crochet and double crochet and inverting on the next row.
    It's revertible and nice thing if you alternate 2 colors every row: each side has a dominant color.
    Made myself a scarf that is light blue with a hint of dark blue on one side, and dark blue with a hint of light blue on the other

    WINNERS ARE:
    Alexandra French
    Kim Talbert
    Sue Moquin
    Winners, I have replied to your comment in this video with information on what to do next!
    The word fun was said 11 times!
    Thank you so much for playing everyone!
    This sure was a "fun" one! I think we will have to have another contest soon in here!
    Hat pattern is almost complete... I should have it up and ready to go within the next couple of days ☺
    ______________________________________
    .BOY did I overuse the word FUN in this video!
    Actually, made me a little annoyed... lol... So I thought, why not have a contest/giveaway for 3 people who come up with the correct number of times I used the word FUN in this video!
    How this works, put your guessed number of how many times the word fun was used in this video plus a comment of what you think of this scarf/design! Good or bad! That WILL NOT determine if you win! I PROMISE I love all comments (except when people tell me I talk too much... cuz, I already know that.. LOLOL)
    Those who guess the number correctly (if multiple people) will be thrown in a hat. 3 winners will be drawn randomly and will receive a little something "fun" in their mailbox! =D
    On a quick side note! After years of suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome and cervical stenosis, I have found the only thing that has given me relief. I have no more pain! It had become almost debilitating to crochet or knit and when one day someone had introduced me to the World's Purest CBD oil, my life was changed forever, for more than just my hand/wrist and arm!
    If you are located in an area/country I can ship CBD oil to legally, the winners of this "fun" little contest will receive a sample pack of the World's Purest CBD oil (along with a little something yarny.. and.. of course, fun! 😉)
    Those NOT in a CBD oill country will receive a fun yarny gift! 😊
    If you would like to learn more about what I personally call, "miracle in a bottle", visit:
    www.mypurecbdlife.com, if you have any questions, you can contact me personally at mypurecbdlife@gmail.com and I'll give you my contact info there so we can chat about what ails you and how CBD oil can forever change your life!
    CONTEST WILL RUN THROUGH NOVEMBER 30TH
    WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED DECEMBER 1ST!
    Let the games begin!!

      Colleen Hays what was the 1st yarn that had sparkle to it that you said was too dark? It was beautiful

    • @sandyshore8787
      @sandyshore8787 4 года назад

      It might be the Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek low-pill fiber yarn. I have it in a grey yarn with silver sparkle. The colorway is Silver Sparkle. I was sure I saw it in red. They have several colors. It feels soft, is 99% acrylic , 1% metallic polyester. 186 yards, 170 meters. I haven’t used it yet, but am planning to soon for a scarf or hat. I also have a Caron Simply Soft Party yarn that I got in Walmart. It is red with a red sparkle. Called appropriately Red Sparkle! It doesn’t seem as soft as the YArn Bee. They are both medium 4’s but the RedHeart is definitely thinner. The Yarn Bee is thicker with a nice twist to the yarn. The RedHeart only has 164 yds. / 150 meters. It is made of the same materials. I am going to try them both. Have fun! 😊🧶

    I love this pattern. I made tassels years back when I crocheted a poncho (1974 ish). I cut a piece of cardboard the length I wanted the tassels to end up and I wrapped the yarn around the cardboard, tied the top loops/ends in groups, and cut the bottom loops still on the cardboard template. Easy peasy tassels.

    I loved this video and can't wait to start making scarves for my son and nephew!!! Looking forward to the hat pattern as well...
    Also the CBD oils have always been just a thought in the back of my mind, but I too have carpal tunnel in both hands and tennis elbow on the right side so crocheting for too long or very often is tough.

      Thank you for your kind words Heather! I hope you enjoy the pattern! CBD has been life changing for me. After going through a funk in my life (a big funk both on the physical and mental end) and then incorporating CBD oil.. I just wish I had known about it sooner. It's one of those things you want everyone to know about after you experience it! Have an awesome day!

      Ok...Idk what I'm doing wrong; but I worked about 8"-9" before ripping it back to the slipknot...and reworked 2".? It's not looking right, and the edges are wonnnky lol. Frustrating beyond belief. Bc I've crocheted since 1977 or 78 [junior high school]! I think I'd rather just do each row dbl cr or hdc at this point. Wondering if my beg ch is idk--but it's been an even #...

    • @chaysiecrochet
      @chaysiecrochet  4 года назад

      If you are thinking a twin size, that is approx 60 x 90. I would make a starting chain of 264 using a 4 weight and a J hook. You will work it just the same from there. You may need to make an adjustment to this depending on your choice of fiber, but that should come very close =)

      I'm not sure if I'm doing it right either but this is how I'm doing it, yarn over put my hook under the stitch like you would normally do then go around the post and put hook under the next stitch from the back, yarn over and bring up a loop yarn over and pull through all 3 stitches on the hook. I hope this helps you.

      Hi Anna! No, I explain in the video that it's not quite a fphdc... similar, but not quite and I show you the difference in the video. =)
