I normally don't go for "super duper hard mode mod guys!!!" but this looks way more interesting. Not just a "fuck your face" stat grinder, but a series of new twists to gameplay.
Me and my friend just got our first Mithrix kill on Inferno the other day, definitely a fun challenge run. Never liked faster scrapper/printer though since it saves such a crazy amount of time. The Mithrix fight was actually changed recently too, and it now features no ramps or pillars in the arena and is even harder lmao
@@cris-tianity5397 yes, because I don't like using any mods that make the game easier to that degree. In a game where time = difficulty, it feels cheap. I also only play multiplayer, so the time saved by having faster scrapper/printer when you're playing with 3 people or so can make a huge difference
yeah once you get good at looting and you're getting ~10 items and taking ~7 minutes per stage the game already becomes way easier, reducing the time it takes to scrap/print makes it too easy in my opinion
Just going to let you know that you can HEAVILY customize inferno's difficulty. If you want it to be slightly worse than monsoon, you can do that. If you want barely any scaling, you can do that *and* it'll change its position to be right after drizzle. If you want super tanky enemies stage 2- I don't know why you'd want that, but you can do that with additional armor per stage. There is so much you can change, and it's really all about giving the player the most agency in their "most difficult challenge."
I don't know if you know this, but the Bandit Mastery skin in base game is Ibzan, the final boss of another of Hopoo's games. The Bandit skin for this is Timur, yet another boss from Hopoo.
hi! as the actual bandit skin maker guy, inferno's bandito skin is just a regular skeleton, my theming for the skins was the survivors going through hell (eg bandit missing half his face, captain burnt and charred off, commando being overgrown) there was no reference to timur or ibzan, but now that you say it i can kinda see it haha!

I wonder if this newly aggressive mithrix also pairs with the artifact of the king, cuz if you can wombo combo that, i dont think you could beat him unless you have like 20 of every item

ok is it just me or did a recent ror2 update shadowdrop without a blog post and break the game? My settings were reset and there are black bars at the edge of my screen that nothing in the settings are changing. (also my most recent run was hella buggy but that might be confirmation bias lol)
When are you gonna do a risk of rain 2 nozlucke? its really fun. The rules are: 1.permadeath 2. fresh file 3. no command and sacrifice the goal is to unlock as many things as you can-abilites count for 5 points, survivors for 0-3 points(you choose) artefaicts for 3 and items for 1

@@Woolie Isn't it more about proc coefficients? If my calculations are correct plasma shrimp is better with any ability or item that has a proc coefficient of less than 1.33 (assuming no clovers) Also take plasma shrimp if you have polylute 100% of the time, the synergy between them is busted because polylute only has a 0.2 proc coefficient (1/50 chance to proc atg) but is guaranteed to proc plasma shrimp every time it hits.
@@a_cats that's in a complete vacuum with no other variables. normal runs aren't a vacuum. if you're using 1 ability every 4-5 seconds (artificer bomb, loader punch, etc), the AtG will both feel and, I'm sure, mathematically function much better, especially when paired with things like ice & fire bands
@@Woolie If your bands proc off of AtGs semi-regularly, you would be correct. I'm not a professional video gamer so it may be due to lack of skill but that doesn't happen often for me, since those high damage attacks usually proc bands themselves. I imagine it's possible to time your attacks so that they hit just before bands go off cooldown so if you're able to do that consistently AtGs would definitely be better.
@@a_cats it's not just the bands - your calculations are assuming you're always hitting something & you always have shields. neither of those are the case, again, in a normal run. you have to be careful jumping to definitive conclusions based solely on "number crunching", as it rarely, if ever, provides the full-picture

I play this game a lot and am a little good but what is AOE and PROC chance please I don’t understand
AoE = area of effect (will o the wisp, ukulele, etc)
proc = to activate something (AtG, ukulele, sticky bomb, etc)
he said the difficulties were "equal." my man had 9nine9 polylutes for mythrix who i believe was level 130ish on the first loop.
