For those confused by the tuning, you start with E A D G B E. Then, tune everything down a step; that gives you D G C F A D. Finally, drop the 6th string down an additional step to C; that gives you C G C F A D. If you don't use thicker strings, your strings will be rather loose, and the tone won't be great.
they drop the low E to D. then from there, they drop all 6 strings down a whole step from the previous drop d. so it will a whole step down. with a C on the bottom because you dropped it already
@CiNdEE69CJL you have your guitar in std tuning (eadgbe) then to tune down a half step would be (eb ab db gb bb eb) basically one fret lower. then do it again so its two frets lower from eadgbe which is dgcfad. then make it a drop d formation so the low d goes down a step to c (cgcfad). its useful in a way that enables you to play interesting chords and power chords with only one finger!

No!! it's not. the whole guitar is tuned down one whole step (2 frets worth), then the Low E (thick one) is tuned down a further whole step to C. The point of this is that you can achieve a power chord with 1 finger, as the 4th and 6th string are octave of each other (they are both C's) so the tuning from low to high is: CGCFAD - hope this helps :-)

Honestly, I learned from watching this, I noticed there aren't any good tutorials. i will make one and explain it well is enough people want it. this is one of my all time favorite songs.
Uhm... yes. You could play it on literally any normal sized 6 guitar that will stay in tune. They just use SGs because they have a crisp punchy fat dirty sound. Well the pedals and amps do 90% of that but the SGs are known for a crisp fat punchy tone.

Assuming you have a 25.5" scale length, 10-52, 11-56, and 12-60 are probably decent options.
If you're the type of person that needs guitar tuning explained to you then playing guitar probably isn't for you.😂😂😂😂
