I would have liked to know more about what strategies to use to fun and afford child care when your family isn’t near, how to find good schools for your kids, how to balance things like meals and pickups with being involved in school activities (ex: law journal, events, BLSA or something of the like), and what it’s like transitioning to the career stage with children (especially little ones). I have help because my spouse works from home, but I would really like to know more about these things so we can better talk about support and plan. I would also like to know if there are certain things law schools can or should do to help students with families, or what would have been helpful if they offered it. I want to try and bring those things to the table as I’m in the decision-making phase of applying.
