Brilliant video mate. You and another channel are the only reasons this tight Yorkshireman ever considers signing up to RUclips, so the ads don’t spoil the viewing pleasure. I got the Aero Technium on your recommendation, never looked back. Sooooo expensive, but it’s in a different league. So true about how good old Shimano reels are, but the spares situation is a nightmare.
Cheers Chris very much appreciated mate🙏 yeah once you have one you realise where the extra cash goes, absolutely superb pieces of kit aren’t they👌🏻 did you get the XSD? I’ve just bought one and it feels superb👌🏻 Tight lines if you’re out and about👍
Yeah the XSD. Problem now is, I want another to pair with the other rod. The Penn reel I have on it is great, but against the XSD, well it’s like night and day as you know. It will require a lot of saving in these difficult times, but I’m going for it. Merry Christmas to you and your subscribers. Have a grand one 👍🏻
@@christravis3270 I’ve now got the same problem Chris😂 the desire for a pair is overwhelming! Same to you, have a great Christmas and all the best🙋♂️👍
Another great video .. keep them coming david as you and Gary have the best sea angling channel on RUclips in my eyes .. down to earth lads , good banter and yous talk through your set up , rigs , baits etc .. camera work , music and editing is first class .. keep them coming as there much appreciated .. especially by myself as I fish many of the same marks as I’m a north east lad too .. 10/10 lads 👍🏻
Wow thanks very much Mark that's really appreciated mate! Very kind words indeed, really pleased you're enjoying the channel mate. Next video 10am tomorrow morning. HNY and tight lines for 2024!
Good morning just put James Martin on pause to get my Saturday angling fix another great video you’ve got some lovely marks up your end but the cockney accent naa and i do know being born in London cheers 👍🥸🐶
🤣🤣 I’ll have to try harder to perfect the accent Mick! Sounds like I’ve been well and truly found out🤪🤦 thanks as always for your continued support, much appreciated 🙏 tight lines for your next trip 👍
Cheers mate much appreciated 🙏 hahaha yeah it was a tough day in the office from the hangover perspective, that wind, rain and darkness found me out - game over by that point 🤦 tight lines, enjoying your vids 👍🙋♂️
Blank saved at least. I scouted a bit further south whilst staying at Sandy bay. Found a worn Mark on the cliffs 4lb first cast. Struggled to get it up. Even with a century raptor/slosh 30 combo. Good vid again.
Thanks very much mate really appreciate that, hope you’ve been getting a few👍 Mmm let me cast my mind back, that particular night I was drinking Stella, followed by large gins - never a good combo!
Hi great video as always, I’m interested in trying newbiggin hopefully within the next month before the end of the season, any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated. 🎣🎣🎣
Hi John. Thanks very much and much appreciated 🙏 there’s a range of marks at Newbiggin ranging from the upper and lower cliffs to the south at high water, the rock marks either side of the bay at low water, the bay itself at high water, then the rocks around church point at low then the Beacons to the north which can be fished at any state of the tide. All I’d say is be very careful on the low water marks and avoid if there’s a big sea running. Bedlington Statioj have a lot of these marks mapped out on their website, it’ll be worth having a look at👍 hope that helps. Tight lines 🙋♂️
Eazy David you ok pal, your right about grabbing the weather window even iff ya are hanging out ya arse lol I'm the same.i was out early Saturday morning for a session n it was slow going on the humber but I managed 2 stonking flounder. One 30 cm n one 32cm but honestly David they wasn't far off 2n half thick. All the best n a very merry Xmas from GRIMSBY
Exactly Carl, sometimes you’ve just got to get out there and enjoy it whatever the fishing brings! Well done on the flounder! Thanks as always for watching and commenting, tight lines 🙋♂️👍
Hello, great channel What would you recommend gear wise I’m looking for some kit...spin fisher or surf blaster reels? I notice your mate has the spin fisher but I’m not sure which is best to buy. I’m new to shore fishing.. thanks
Great thanks Rod wise i was looking at the penn xl tidel or daiwa sandsrorm but again not very clued up on the sea game however i have fished the rivers for 30 year so know both are good brands.. My budget is around £700 for two rods and reels but dont mind a little more if needed Thank you

Bad area Dave from the golf club south to Cambois from the shore, quite a lot of lads have been kayak fishing in the bay past few years and they struggle too. Good God, Sandancers never change?? drinking too much followed by a curry lol 🤣
Yeah not a lot about that day David. 🤣🤣 although I need to correct you on one minor detail - I’m not a Sandancer, I’m a north of the Tyne boy, sand dancers are south of the river between South Shields and Sunderland. Not the best conditions for you buddy,, I had a decent session in the Arbroath area last night with a mate managing to get a few decent ones out but it wasn't easy and where forced to move around to find them my mate disappeared in to a very innocent looking tiny puddle that ended up being 4 foot deep million to one shot and he did hurt himself but fair play to him we managed to carry on,, tight lines cheers 👍
