Everything after 93 is ugly.
I think every mustang (even the Mustang II) has something to offer. And you know what they say, if you can't beat them... join them... And a fox will always be cool!

TDT says he liked the 82 year model the best. If I remember correctly the 82 was even lighter than the 92....although the 87 to 92 made more power and were easier to use because of the fuel injection. The 88 and later ones had mass air flow instead of the speed density setup on the earlier fuel injected models and they are the ones to have because mods dont mess up their karma.
I love em too. And it's purely based on looks on the 82. That front air dam is just... Glorious! If I end up with one a few years down the line as a channel project car it will ideally receive a 5 speed swap and a mild performance engine as part of the build process.

Gonna be getting a drop top 87 this weekend and I’m super excited. Watching all of these videos get me hyped! Foxbody mustang has always been one of my dream cars.. I’ve always had a weird hatred for mustangs/mustang drivers but these foxbody mustangs never ever caught that hate from me. Sucks they didn’t capitalize off the platform in my opinion. Everything after 93 is ugly.
I think every mustang (even the Mustang II) has something to offer. And you know what they say, if you can't beat them... join them... And a fox will always be cool!
@@TheDutchTexan 😂😂 my 300 srt8 would beg to differ on an undefeated basis. Regardless I’m stoked
My Dad has one of these and imma fix it up so I can hear it again
Good man! We need more foxes on the road!
@@TheDutchTexan it has some water leaks and some unruly residents in it I have to evict such as mice and a colony of yellow jackets
Just wear protection when you clean it out! Hantavirus is a thing!
Really good quality like movie quality, keep it up DT!
I appreciate it! More to come!
Love those foxbody Mustangs
Fox body Mustang with an automatic is such a sin
Not a c4 ;)
I had a 85GT, 95Gt and 2011GT. Full bolt-ons ever time, not the fastest but I loved them all.
Can't go wrong with a V8 mustang IMHO! Every year has it's own appeal to me.
@FBI True enough, but I'm looking for a GT350...after I build a 2nd garage.
I’ve had many mustangs over the years, out of all of them I still miss my 85 GT the most.
I think that is setting you up for another project car right there!
I’m fixing up a 89 convertible now but you’re right another 85 will be in my future.
@@TheDutchTexan is this car still for sale
It never was for sale...
I had a car like this. I was going to the beach i was doing 120 with cruise control on and step on the gas and my head jerk back to the head rest.now that's power.with more to spare.but Mine was a 1990.i loved it.please bring that body style back
Notch allday! if you can find one :)
It’s becoming harder every day! Honestly, the notches have been growing on me lately... Still like the coupe versions better but I am at a stage where a notch build is just as cool!
All bs aside, I had a 89' fox in college back in 08'. I had the chance at a notch back. I'm 33 now and bought another fox. I day that to say I've been a lil afraid of those notches and my daily is a 2016 srt392 charger. Why I have a wife and kids now. I still don't wanna mess with that notch though, thzzz a BAD B*THCH Y'ALL!
New sub here, well done.
Hey! Welcome! I am glad you liked the review. It was cool to finally drive a Fox. Made me solidly add it to the list of candidates for a project car in the future for sure!
Where did a 16 yr old get a beauty like that I’m 16 and want one so damn bad
You got time to realize the dream! Work towards it!
I drove all the way to Alabama to pick it up lol
Love the video i had like 6 of these i uaed to kill the camaros on every corner i turned
I appreciate it!
I just got one exactly like this and i love it
Congrats! I hope you are having a lot of fun with it!
I OWN 87 NOTCH, MAKING IT SSP CLONE😁
SSP's are awesome!
I love the hatchback fr ♥️
As do I, it is an awesome looking car!
ik it’s an old car but are there any usb ports or cigarette lighter outlets
Cigarette lighters are pretty much standard, USB? Definitely wasn't a thing back then. But the aftermarket can help you there!
Happy proud owner of a 93 Reef Blue Metallic coupe.
That is a beautiful color!
@@TheDutchTexan ...and super rare too!
What happened to the AC?
Ill give you a thumbs up just on your shirt alone .
I appreciate it! And it's a true statement in my opinion!
@@TheDutchTexan Damn right it is !
What size cowl hood in the car? 3" rise?
2.5
Just became a new subscriber after this video great content
I appreciate it man! I love doing videos like these when I can, so there will be many more in the future!
Foxbody started 79 not 77
Nope, the foxbody platform was used from 1977 onward. The first foxbody mustang was indeed 1979.
I think the first fox might have been a fairmont
@@timzzz9963 pretty much!
The fow=x body was 79-93 not 77' ;)
These cars actually ran mid 14s with a manual and a good driver behind the wheel. Even heard stories of guys cracking high 13s stock with a stripper no option lx notch with stock 308 gears which is the fastest form of the 5.0 fox outside of the 93 cobra.
WELL MAN I HAVE A 87 MUSTANG GT AND WITH JUST EXHAUST AND HEADERS AND EVERYTHING ELSE STOCK AND I RAN A 14.1 AT 100MPH AND I HAVE NOT TRIED TO SEE WHAT MY 93 COBRA COULD RUN WITH JUST EXHAUST LOL I THINK I CAN CRACK HIGH 13S.
Clean car!! Same color as my 87 GT. I checked my IG and he follows me on instagram and so do i back. I have almost 1700 followers there so small world.
That is one thing that’s for sure, the car world gets pretty small sometimes! Always cool to find a connection where you don’t think there is one!
@@TheDutchTexan Yes! Im a big foxbody enthusiast, ive had 3 of them. After i sold my 96 cobra bought my friends 87 gt and i have a big collection of diecast foxbodys
yes it does looks like the Mad Max interceptor
I will take my 04 interceptor over that rattle box
The car is sweet man lucky kid
It’s receiving some upgrades now! Perhaps there will be an update video down the line!
@@TheDutchTexan nice I'll wait
I just got my first mustang its a 88 gt manual.
awesome video.
Thank you, I appreciate it!
The fox bodies are awesome!!!!! I hate the red interior in this one and would trade it out for black. Also, mine was stick shift which I also prefer. Mods are EVERYWHERE for these things.
Glorious! If I end up with one a few years down the line as a channel project car it will ideally receive a 5 speed swap and a mild performance engine as part of the build process.
what wheels are those?
Saleen SC style
I'm sry but that's not decent room in the back if you're legs are rubbing the back of the seat.
Compared to the SN95-S197-S550’s? It’s seas of room back there! Decent enough.
@@TheDutchTexan I have a 95 mustang gt and my friends barely fit back there. I don't think mustangs were made for tall and big ppl in mind. My dad is 6 ft and he always hits he's head getting out of my car. And yes I agree with you. 😃
Bro… I need to know what wheels those are I cannot find them!
They are Saleen sc style wheels, I just got rid of them lol. LMR and AM both carry them!
@@joshuatarin8447 they look so good!
@@davidsimmons177 I kept the same look for 5 years, looked great but it was time for something new lol.
@@joshuatarin8447 I get that I have had the same ones for 18 years lol
Actually 79 was the first year of the fox body.
Look up the fox platform...
Great editing man!!! Also what a cool car!! The all red interior is great, and the car is VERY clean! Keep up the great work man!!
Thanks for the props! The red interior is definitely an eye catcher!
An LS motor swap is an unforgivable sin.
If it means the difference between a Fox in the junk yard or one out there taking names? I know which one I would pick! I would never do it myself... well... let’s say highly unlikely. Never say never. My dream fox would have a supercharger sticking out of the hood... No crazy HP figures either, just a mean street-able car. Reality if I were to pick up a fox in a few years? Bolt on 302 not making 300 to the tire 😂
Had a 91 then a 94 a 99 traded it this past weekend for a 93 and so glad I'm back in a fox again
Guess you had to go back to your roots!
Same. Had a 91 and a 2017. Just got back in an 88GT.
Very nice
最高の車!
