The mustangs from 2015 and up look European. It's bad enough that the mustang is a sports car and not a muscle car. May as well put a Volkswagen badge on them considering they look just as ugly anyways. Foxbodys are legendary. Those cars brought Ford performance from the ashes back in the day and put Ford back on the map!

Complete transparency: A fox was a consideration for a channel project car a few years down the line. After driving one it IS a major contender. I would love to have something older, but man, the potential and parts availability on foxes? Uncanny. I have ideas in my head, I hope my goals I have pan out and it can happen in that time-frame. 2022 baby!

These were the muscle cars of my generation. Growing up in the 80's and 90's these were a dime-a-dozen, but even though they were, when you heard one drive by people still turned to look because it had that iconic exhaust sound. If you would have told me that these would become big collectors items back then I would have laughed because there were a ton of them on the road, but now at 50 years old you never hear or see them and when you do everyone stops to look. Funny thing is I am a chevy guy, never owned a ford and never drove one, but I have to give credit where credit is due, this was a pretty cool car even though it didn't have the greatest engineering.

  • @Westhelockpicker

I had a 91 gt and it was even red but had black interior and it was a 5 speed. I loved that car! I had so many things done to it I'm not going to list them cause it would take too much time but it ran 11s and in the mid 90s for a daily driver was pretty good. I kept it until I traded it in for a 35th anniversary mustang GT and made it a monster!!

@CC Ryderyou have good points although it's usually the old guys who like classics and they are nice. Although most people in my generation and younger go for the foxes. My opinion the most popular platform for mustangs period, and still going strong with the Coyote and LS swaps. Trust me I know about the division on opinion on that's subject in the mustang community. Been a foxbody soldier since the big foxbody movement during the 1980-1990s. Like it or not the total build numbers and popularity in mods and swaps don't lie. The Foxbody is King!

The fox bodies are awesome!!!!! I hate the red interior in this one and would trade it out for black. Also, mine was stick shift which I also prefer. Mods are EVERYWHERE for these things. TDT says he liked the 82 year model the best. If I remember correctly the 82 was even lighter than the 92....although the 87 to 92 made more power and were easier to use because of the fuel injection. The 88 and later ones had mass air flow instead of the speed density setup on the earlier fuel injected models and they are the ones to have because mods dont mess up their karma.
