Skull and Bones pieces of eight is the endgame currency in Skull and Bones and you're going to need a lot of it if you want one of the best ships and some of the best weapons the game offers so in this video we're going through pieces of eight Skull and Bones and how to get them fast.
How to get pieces of eight Skull and Bones isn't as simple as playing the game, there is a lot of management involved which includes collecting them so this is basically a guide for Skull and Bones how to get pieces of eight fast. I implore you all to invest every piece of right you earn back into leveling up manufacturies. You can turn a once an hour trip into a once per day quite quickly… which is nice considering it’s annoying if you are doing a trip once per hour. You also increase both supplied times as well as capacity. Every night before I log off I fund every manufactury and every day I log in to roughly 5k pieces of eight. DO NOT WASTE WHAT LITTLE YOU HAVE ON ANYTHING BUT FURTHERING YOUR ILL GOTTEN GAINS. It’s a complete waste and doing it this way you will own everything in that store within a week.

Hello…I would like to ask for advice on it. I currently have palside bay at lvl8 since it has the most trade routes, and plan to make sitrana, shijavu and harufu lvl 7-8 so I can just make a straight line to sainte-Anne’s.. tyvm for your time
Is it as simple as just upgrading the manufacturing locations on the map, or do I have to upgrade stuff from the book in the Helm office as well?
Wrong on losing the po8! You just have to go back to where you died and pick up your cargo thats floating in the water where you died. Your po8 will be with the cargo.

Also a bonus point for the Legendary Heists is, that it allways has a good chance to also give you a nice equipment (cannons, armor, etc.)
I got the royal armor thing twice in the last 2 days for example and I only participated 4 or 5 times in those heists.

Eh game is fun but it is limited. The usual live service approach. i just spent the money on ubisoft plus and if im bored within a month i cancel and save 40 bucks

Really enjoying the game at the minute, nowhere near kingpin rank yet just sailing around trying to get mats so u can build the ships and weapons, can’t see me spending much time in the PvP endgame though, I’ll stick to PvE once I’m there
It's really not full on pvp for each area any more. The biggest pvpers were blowing that sht up early on but they've moved on since they collected most of the locations. Now it's almost pve all the time, at least for these manufactories anyway.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the game and you can do the endgame just PvE, there’s never a time when you’re forced into PvP which is one of the many things I love about this game 👍
They fixed it. They spawn a lot less now.
It was the constant invisible death marks thatwere doing as they were bugged and applying to everyone.
For the Legendary Heist, it rolls a random manufactory every time and if you already own it, you can’t join the even and it won’t show up.
yeah, it will only show up for you, if you can actually get a manufactory out of it.
Thats not true. I did the heist once when it wasnt on the map. I couldnt accept the quest to do it but i saw him there and someone else was killin him so i joined in on killin him and i got the purple ship armor. Didnt get any manyfactory tho since i couldnt accept the quest.
@@Flipp0022 you can only get this mission if you are a kingpin, joined the Helm and the manufacturer the mission has as a reward is not yet in your possession.
I can confirm that if you die before getting back to the den, you don't lose those them

@@joshuawhite4113 Idk if it's a bug or not but even with the wager on, I died to NPCs 3 times and the chest just floats in the water like the legendary maps. Once you pick it back up then wager continues

New sub here.. Bit of advice for any new kingpin... Lvl up your helm left side asap then move to Empire Management asap (that shit is expensive lol). Do helm wagers and join them (worth it in the end). Upgrade red isle factories to lvl 8+ before getting anything else.. A few lvl 10s will supply you enough for awhile and will help upgrade your helm

I'd like to see them either lower the enemy ship frequency or ship level a smidge. When you go collecting the 8s level 10s just dog pile you and the game just becomes a high speed chase to survive. The update yesterday may have changed that but I haven't played it after the update
Feels better today. And no death mark spam.
I find it no better. Level 10 rogues still sitting right out side SA and spawning all over. Plus theres less takeover opportunities so its forcing PvP or the heists are filling up before I can enter them. This might be what kills it for me

@@gecko2.617 Yea I was going to come back to this comment now that it's been a few days. As long as people aren't doing legendary heists bringing those high level rogues around its not bad. I've noticed it almost seems theres a barrier on the west side of the red isle for the rogues when you get into the rivers so they wont go past. I've seen them spawn in the rivers but not traveling them

The legendary heists do a good job IMO of feeding the player useful locations without any possibility of PVP if they prefer to avoid it. The silver needed can put one in a bind so I was happy to slowly acquire and build my 'empire' this way and am only one location short of completing the Red Isle zone with every place lvl2 (besides my main sub-zone) to keep my sanity. Instead of feeling inclined to dump most Po8 into this affair I've gone about outfitting 2 ships already for variety and as a new player (2 weeks) it'll be awhile before I get the Duroburos (sp?) because the game loves timers.

Tip to get loads of pieces of 8 fast
Do a supply run to get all your pieces of 8, on the 2nd to last/last factory join the double or nothing event.
If u dont get the event sit afk docked somewhere and redo the supply run until ur met with double or nothing event.
Complete the event and enjoy 2-6k pieces of eight in one run
That’s a really good strategy but what if another player sinks you while you have that many pieces of eight on you because the double event is PvP?

@@MrMgage13 Doesnt work anymore, they patched it superfast however you can still let friends join ur server and start a wager then sit afk while u start ur wager
What i want to know is if you upgrade the red isle part of the upgrades for the helm does it invmcrease youre payout of p.o.e. for that region?
You can unlock it earlier if you get helm materials

Dear channel , Your thoughts , get to 5k pieces of 8 , buy the samba , then start investing into the manufacturing upgrades , ( my concern is loosing all the manufactoring camps and upgrades at season reset ). Or invest in manufacturing to get pieces of 8. Quicker then buy the samba ?
I bought the sambuk and now I’m levelling up my manufactories so they produce pieces of eight faster then I can get all the upgrades after
When I collect my pieces of eight the pirates that attacks I will get them low on health and board their ship then I get to collect loot..
hey i did a mission call twilight keepers and shoot the ship , lost the letter, it said have to read van kinckel orders, im stuck the mission ...
I don't know about the co-op heist events man. I tried 5 times yesterday...had no problem sinking the boss ship (even solo) but the NPCs that spawn to take you out would one-shot me. I am running a level 10 Brig with decent armor though admittedly not the best end game armor (i just don't have the time right now to farm the best stuff like that). I did find though that the hostile takeover events often had no participants. So for one i sailed near it waited until a few seconds countdown then joined the event. I was the only participant and took it over easily. Maybe i was in a dead server at the time...I'll just keep an eye out for that situation going forward.
After killing the boss you should have an eye on the sharpshooters. These are the small ships with these weakpoint fins on the side. They do incredible damage alown and are spawned in as a double for twice the fun.
Don‘t fight these enemies as they‘re also tanky if spawned from the event. My best tactic is to simply sail as fast as possible to Saint Anne. Always keep grilled food in your ship storage!
Move from a class 3 ship and get a class 5 ship. It makes a huge difference, even if you use the exact same weapons and armor on the class 5 as you have on your brig right now. With a class 5, you can just run over the little merchant ships without firing a shot and sink them and take no damage to yourself with level 2 scaling armor and instead of two cannons each side, you'll have three cannons and if you can get an auxiliary weapon for the middle, gives you an extra strong attack.
Having every business at lv 7 in the red isle alone thatll bring you 15000 every trip and that is way more then enough pieces of eight one can need chances are you'll already have bought everything you want before you even get them all to lv 7 dont even stress about the other regions until your bored basically
They really need to make it so I can deposit Po8 at any outpost. Also my helm wager keeps breaking. It only is doubling up that ONE grab and not ALL in my cargo like it did a few days ago. My buddy has his bugged too but my other buddy it’s working and doubles all before and after the helm wager
Delete treasure maps in cargo they count the chest as a legendary map
@@tokeyoxush420 so that bugs my ability to have all 17 areas double up and give me about 4k…? It worked one time. Now every time it only causes one to be a double and the rest sit in my inventory

Dont upgrade the Helm Overview Perks. They reset when the season is releasing. Only upgrade your ports to increase production.

Wrong. They confirmed that your upgrades will not reset until the very end of season 1, and that the text in game was an error. So those upgrades should stay for at least another 3 months+, since the season hasn't even begun yet.

Ive died with the Pieces of Eight and you do not lose them unless your doing the PVP event.

I will say at the lower kingpin infamy ranks you fly through it pretty fast but when you get to kingpin lvl 19+ it drags out
Also if you upgrade your factories to all like lvl 3,4,5 you don’t have to wait that long for them to be full and you get a higher payout as well
I would suggest partying up with ppl or friends to help you if you are doing a big run so you are guaranteed to make it back to the den.
how would friends help if i’m the only one gathering the pieces they are not shared
@@ltrublul3162you can do a "double or nothing" wager every day, and only a limited number of people (I think 6 people) can join it, so your 6 friends could join it, so that you won't get hunted for your gold.

You don’t lose po8’s though if you die so only reason to team up would be if you and your friend have the same stops to make
@@MrMgage13 no you loose po8 if you do the wager, BUT if you have enough people on the same server, you can do the wager and 5 of your friends join in, so that no "enemy" can join your "Double Or Nothing" ;)
@@ltrublul3162 they could be collecting their gold at the same time, or they join your wager and afterwards you join their wager and thus try to protect them against enemies
Does anyone know if you lose your pieces of eight after logging off? Im curious if I can just do these runs over and over collecting like 10k pieces of eight then do the the helm challenge and double that?
I think the pieces of eight stay with you until you dock at a den so you could possibly do this but why would you risk 20,000 pieces of eight in PvP?
I could save hours of time if I wait till 3-4am when servers are really dead and I can safely transport of course I do this till I fail then I play safe but there is always a gamble to get rich when you are a pirate@@Born2Game

how do you get the other currency? not the paid one but the ones used to buy the Caliban set
The caliban set costs pieces of eight and this video shows you how to earn them. If it’s not pieces of eight it will be sovereigns which are earned by collecting pieces of eight and moving up the leaderboards (I believe you get 350 sovereigns for collecting your first 10,000 pieces of eight)

I love this game but end game is basically killing pvp and gathering pieces of eight.

This is one of the biggest complaints I've had with the game, the collection process of pieces of eight. It's sooooo time consuming once you have a lot of manufactories. This is the one system I think really needs to change. If I'm a kingpin of a massive smuggling empire, why am I doing all the collecting of my goods myself?
Edit, you can just respawn and claim your treasure where you sunk. Your pieces of 8 are still there.

@MrMgage13 what I did is get all to that same level all the 2s to 3s all the 3s to 4s. Having all has been great cuz you can wait longer to do runs. I go and collect every 15 hours on my 10s now. Did a 150k helm wager last night
And then season 2 comes out, and all of your helm progress is wiped. 😊
But that’s not til 3+ months from now

I did the PvP event yesterday....i got sunk by someone 😂 I ain't doing that again, I lost 3000k pieces of eight as I sunk 500 meters away from delivery location 😢 it hurt my soul
Did you lose 3 million pieces of eight or 3 thousand pieces of eight? The k at the end of 3000 indicates 3 million.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to be kingpin because I joined the helm in the open beta
For the empire where you get your manufactories you have to be kingpin. You can begin basic production of rum and opium before though
@@Born2Game Thank you for clearing that up. In the video you said you needed to be kingpin to gain access to the Helm. I'm not kingpin yet and I've already been doing Helm runs.
where it say inactive supply run 200 what does that mean
If you provide the resources required for the supply run then that manufactory will produce pieces of eight faster for a short period of time

Not the pieces of eight themselves but all your factories and upgrades will reset

I just wasted 10k on the damn chest from previous season and is ridiculous wut they give me...they need to take thay away I expend all my day farming for something that is not even useful....so for the ones wondering don't buy it....
I love all these morons who comment hating on the game but are watching a video about a game that they hate loool, the game just came out and it's fantastic and will be even more great when they update it and fix certain issues, i reccomend thia game to anyone, yes it has flaws but it's the best that ubisoft has produced in a long long time

People who hate the game just fall into the category that no matter what they do, you can't make everyone happy. Some think there should be more swashbuckling. What they don't understand is that the developers have only so much data they can use to produce a game for console use, so there's trade off. Skull and Bones put emphasis and shipboard mechanics, rather than hand to hand combat. I've played games with the hand to hand combat and they don't have much activity towards ship development and weapon mechanic, just basics. So no matter what they do, there's always going to be someone that's not happy. In order to do the swashbuckling, the game would probably have to do away with all the trade route activities as described in the video.
Effing hell, this “russian doll” of a game is such an over-complicated grind. If I ever manage to complete it, I will never play it again.

they will delete all manufacturing progress after seasonal end, this is so bad, its the only game they will delete players progress.
That's not true. Dragon's Heir, they reset your progress to level one, however they don't take away your perk developments on the playing characters, they do on the universal perks.

Mate you Pve and farm ships and not gold. If you wanna let someone know about best gold farm show them the important stuff like the right skill points and the right lvl for the manufacts and not half knowledge

If you’re going to make a video about FAST farming of POE, make sure you know the entirety of the systems. You didn’t discuss the pros and cons to the helm wager or bring it up at all. It seemed like you just unlocked it and made a video explaining what the game explains. Not helpful.

It's not his job to tell you all the ins and outs, it's not his job to hold your hand to play it through. Somethings should be left for you to figure out on your own.
This game is terrible. There is a headwind every direction you go and even if you have the best armor in the game, NPC's will one shot you. I lost 3200 8's while doing a wager because of these stupid mechanics. I can lose the 8's, but I cannot deal with the ridiculous overtuning.
So it sounds like a headwind blocked you while you were fighting rogues and you died…

@Cwrigz Rogues are overtuned and kill you in one hit randomly, even with the best armor. I did die to them 2 times while fighting a headwind, so when players actually caught up to me, I had half severe damage that makes you easy pickings for players. I'm not mad at players and losing 8's.

It's not the armor. It's a respawn bug. So if you are in a group after doing the delivery, those npc stay that powerful so if that group doesn't kill those npc they hang around.
