Yes! Filipino women like Riya deserve to be acknowledged and celebrated for all the hard work and sacrifices they've made, especially since March is Women's Month!

Why participate in the Census if you are Undocumented? Doesn't that put you at risk of imprisonment and deportation by ICE?

Hello! This is a very important question. No, they are not at risk of imprisonment and deportation by ICE. By law, the United States Census Bureau are not allowed to share personal identifiable information to other Federal and State agencies. Can you please help spread this word? The US constitutions states that all people in the United States count. This include undocumented and documented immigrants.

@@NextDayBetter Thank you for responding. Yes, this is a very important question indeed. I belive it is the main reason why many Undocumented persons do not participate in the US CENSUS program. It's a common fear that undocumented persons from mamy different nations have, not just Filipinos. Unfortunately, this very misconception was not addressed in this community service announcement (CSA) profile or in others I have seen in the past. Something to consider for future CSA'S is to be more direct about this major concern when servicing target communities.
