Lectric XP Battery Replacement and Comparison Test

  • I purchased a replacement battery for the LECTRIC XP off Ali Express in order to upgrade the mileage I get. The biggest replacement available is a 14ah batetry compared to the current 10.4 in my 1.0 XP. For this test i did a 5 mile course. The results were I had 52.6 voltage left on the 10.4ah after five miles, after 5 miles on the 14ah the voltage was only at 53.1. It seems the new battery is definitely bigger than the original.

Chris ~ In PAS mode 3 on my field data on a flat road course, I got 28 miles with my stock 10.4 Ah battery and 32 miles with my AliExpress 14 Ah battery. Based on the results of those ranges and using the 10.4 Ah battery as a benchmark, the 14 Ah battery equated to 11.9 Ah. I did not use any human power while collecting this data. I just pedaled enough to cause the pedal assist to kick in and never took the bike out of first gear.

Interesting I have about 25% of the first charge left, (30 miles so far) going to see how many more miles I can get in pas 2/3

@@seanwan30 ~ no, likely weigh had very little to do with the different results. I weigh less than 20 lbs more than Chris. Speed is likely the difference. I've collected hundreds of miles of data related to the 48 volt e-bike's ranges. Here are a couple examples using the simple distance formula [amp hour / amps x speed = distance. Example #1 ~ using a 10.4 Ah battery @ 10 mph the range will be approx. 34 miles ~ @ 15 mph the range will be approx. 29 miles ~ @ 20 mph the range will be approx. 24 miles ~ @ 25 mph the range will be approx. 14 miles ~~ Example #2 ~ using a 14 Ah battery @ 10 mph the range will be approx. 47 miles ~ @ 15 mph the range will be approx. 38 miles ~ @ 20 mph the range will be approx. 31 miles ~ @ 25 mph the range will be approx. 18 miles ~ This is based on controlled conditions: flat paved road with no head or tail winds. it's hard to do a fair capacity test riding, there's too many variables. best to use a battery testing system like the cba-iv. my AliExpress battery was a little exaggerated, but still a good value for the money if it lasts. if you need 20 ah I'd suggest buying a 30 ah. look at the volume of the battery compared to known good battery capacities...
