The Crazy World of CEX: Episode 14 - Deptford, Croydon & Tooting

- Welcome to the crazy world of CEX! My continuing mission to visit every CEX store, in the world! From the weird to the wonderful, the big to the small I plan to visit them all. So join me for an epic adventure to visit them all all while building my dream game collection along the way!
This time we’re heading to 3 brand new CEX stores and along the way adding some awesome games to the collection.
Recently I was lucky enough to be in London for Rev Pro wrestling High Stakes at Crystal Palace and of course whilst in London I couldn't resists visiting as many CEX store as possible, I managed to visit 6 stores over the weekend and in todays episode we have the first 3!
First off we visited Deptford where I found 2 things I very rarely see, a Mega CD game and also a cat in CEX!
Next up in Croydon we find the most copies I think I have ever seen of a single item! It's a very good item but I have no idea why they had so many copies!
Finally in London we hit up the Tooting branch of CE and I find a very hard to find SNES game which I simply had to pick up.
The theme of this episode is game preservation, in the digital age we live in more and more games disappear from store fronts never to be seen again and this is first and foremost why I collect games for preservation. With this in mind finally this time in Norwich I pick up another banger complete with all the DLC on the disk!

Nice pick ups! Bloodstone is a 3rd person shooter though but a damn good one, Enjoy!

Come visit the south west! Bristol, Swindon & Chippenham CEX always have some good retro and modern stuff

That's crazy to see those loose jaguar games I've never seen them in the wild much . Your doing right grabbing those complete editions has many re releases now just have the dlc download only or are missing . I actually just sold my loose prince of persia snes lol
Yeah you don’t see them very often but when I go for Jaguar games I’m going to go for CIB so wish me luck lol.
Yeah the complete editions are the way to go, I often wait for new games to release “Game of the year” editions as I always like to OWN the DLC physically
Some great pick ups once again mate, crazy how you can still get bangers like Saints Row 3 and Arkham City for dirt cheap. Would be interested to see at the end of the next episode maybe a tally or percentage of how many CeX stores you’ve visited in this series already if you’ve been keeping track
Yeah it’s a great time to buy for that gen and the prices are so cheap at the moment and there’s so many bangers out there! I need to do a total number visited so far, it’s certainly getting higher!
That Street Fighter 6 Collector's Edition was being sold for around £60, brand new, before Christmas. At the time, CeX were offering around double that in trade-in credit -- which explains why they can be found in nearly every CeX store across the country!

I moved to Wales just over a year ago but moved from Croydon and it seems in that time they have moved the CEX store. It was actually a few shops down on the same road and was a bigger store.
I think I may have missed another store in Croydon lol. Was still a good store mind you!
@@DanTheGamesManNo, just having a look on Google maps and it seems they have moved down 3 shops as you can still see the old one in picture ls there so I assume they just moved stores down.
There is a decent independent games store on the same road though and there is a fantastic arcade nearby that has a small games store attached that deals with a lot of older games too such as C64 etc.
Bet that cat was looking for the game stray. 😁

The cat does not belong to cex it visits the shop in morning and stays all day then goes home and does this everyday
