Hi Dan. Second chance treasures here (Tony) if you're still after a controller hit me up, I'd be happy to help you out at half price! Great pictures and always a pleasure seeing you
Thanks that would be amazing! Hope you had a good day selling! Great to see you growing!
My 1st computer
@@mancman-bu4kz what was the first game you played on it?
Bro £180 for castlevania 3 is wild, I love my physical games as you know but I'd be emulating that bad boy or getting the Castlevania anniversary collection for the Switch haha. Kinda defeats the purpose of this series I guess but holy that's a lot of dough to fork over for one NES game, and this homie needs to save for a Switch 2 haha
It’s a crazy one for sure, but over time it’s only going to, probably, get more expensive and with the time I have I’ll either wait for a very good deal, and hopefully get lucky, or wait until carboot season begins again and try and build some decent CEX credit and do it that way. I do already have a copy of the Castlevania Collection for the switch and it’s a great way to play them and yep, also saving for the Switch 2 lol
@@DanTheGamesMan Have you got the third CV collection preordered from limited run? My brother got me the anniversary and advance collection for Christmas, so eagerly waiting for the dominus collection to arrive My curated Switch collection is almost finished, I have like 30 or so left plus any new releases so will hopefully have that done as my 2025 goal xD There is a Shantae game that I need that is like £300 ( I have the other 4) and so I am also going to have to build up some credit for that. I also torn on whether to get it or not though, it's insanely priced, to my knowledge it's the most expensive switch game.
@ I have got it pre ordered yes, great way to play all the games at a lower price lol. I wanted to grab all the Shantae games, but I think I missed the boat on the switch with prices but do have all the games in the box set for the PS5.
@DanTheGamesMan yeah the shantae prices are wild now, I think you are right though, the longer you leave it, the more value it will get so you're better off getting it sooner. Though knowing my luck, pirates curse will get reprinted 1 day after i shell out 300 quid. The messenger (sea of stars developers first game) was around 250 quid and that is getting a reprint in march, glad i didnt already own that one. The reprint is £25 brand new haha
@ yeah it’s a double edged sword when they do a repress especially when they come out of the blue, great if you still need it but devastating if you’ve shelled out for the original, but the original press is always worth more.
It’s hard modded with a xecuter evo mod chip, it may have a larger hard drive with games installed but this mod lets you mess with different bios, dashboards, files, game trainers (mod menus), ripping games off the disc to the console, and a load of other features.
Awesome, that’s what I suspect also but I just can’t seem to get to a menu to access these features…
is it just me or has nobody seen a original xbox steering wheel?
It’s been there for quite a while, personally I already have too many wheels lol
@ oh ive never seen one of ur vids thats why i commented btw
@ thanks for watching!
Great new series Dan, looking forward to seeing more, I didn’t have a NES back in the day as I was a master system boy but still brings back good memories👍
Thanks, glad your enjoying it! Yeah I’m discovering so many games after so many years and I’m loving it!
I am certain.. we have PTSD when it comes to games in the early 90s.. that we got soo used to the difficulty.. we were like mini Rambo's completing these.. I remember completing every mario all stars game on my 9th Xmas holiday week .. my parents bought me donkey Kong country on my birthday the week after.. which I was replying that.. like crazy a couple of weekends after.. The NES.. I got a couple of years before.. I have to thank for that training XD (I seriously couldn't do that now XD)
Yeah I think suddenly jumping back into this era of gaming my skills where not very good lol but hopefully they will improve over time. I guess the games had to challenge you and keep you coming back and more often than not they where fairly short games once you mastered them, and boy it felt good when you did!
@DanTheGamesMan good luck with your challenge.. looking forward to more in the series :) I'm doing a full RPG set (us/pal) on ps1 before 30/09/2025 (UK ps1 console 30th anniversary.. release date) @28/90.. (quality over quantity) It's doable.. but at least 4 are over £250 and are imports 😅
@ thanks and good luck with your personal challenge, which sounds awesome BTW, what a great subset to aim for! Which games do you have left to find?
@DanTheGamesMan Pricer titles to keep it short Only one over £250 is Shadow tower.. a side game to kings field.. Everything between 100-250 now is available digitally so I can wait on them.. have all physical releases between them.. Under £100 are all pal available.. (CEX/deals) I have all US releases in that range.. My most recent purchases were.. Tactics Ogre, Dragon Warrior(quest) Vii and Tales of Destiny 2.. Favourite surprise title was Vanguard Bandits.. a very "of it's time" (hilarious localisation) Srpg XD
@ wow sounds like an awesome collection and one which I expect the value of will skyrocket over time as it’s such a popular genre
I definitely recognise the box art for Little Nemo Dream Master, in the montage of images at the end of the video; an absolutely brilliant game. SMB 2 is another game that I'm sure you will enjoy when you add it to your collection. Good luck with the game hunting. Happy birthday, too.
@@mark-andrews thank you! Yeah there’s a really good selection of games here and Little Nemo is one I’m very excited to play as so many people shout about how good it is!

EVO X is a mod that allows you to play copied games. You need a copy of Splinter Cell to by pass the OG boot screen for the copies to work.
@@dodgydpad thanks for the info, I do have a copy of Splinter Cell so I’ll have to try this…
Nice video. However, please don't make any more. You are just making your SB collecting harder - it doesn't need more publicity as they are hard enough to find anyway - we don't want more competition and we don't want CEX to clock on to it and change the pricing. So, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
@@Soundwave1of9 honestly I’m amazed CEX haven’t ever changed the prices especially with recent changes such as rarities and with or without manuals. I very much doubt CEX watch these videos, hopefully lol

Recently picked up The Godfather Special Edition in CEX Hornsby in Australia for 40AUD in really nice condition. What a beauty of a steel book.
Nice! Yeah it’s a really nice one, I was lucky enough to come a cross a copy myself last year, as you said a beauty of a steel book!
May this Wednesday bring you joy
Thank you and to you and thanks for the positive vibes
Glad you liked it
I have not long sold most of my ps3 and ps4 collections, which included 64 steelbooks. There was a lot of nice steelbooks among them, Dragon's quest heroes, Watchdogs 2, Wipeout omega collection, Medievil, Resident evil 4, 2 and village. I have kept some of my favourite ps4 steelbooks, about 50 or so, which include Dark souls trilogy, Nier automata, Assassins creed origins, Days gone, Drive club, Sekiro, Devil may cry 5, 2 variants of Horizon zero dawn and a PlayStation 1 steelbook which came with a gift card inside.
@@digitalst0rm438 wow sounds like you had an amazing collection, how many years did you collect for, and if you don’t mind me asking, why did you sell them?
@@DanTheGamesMan I just bought the games as they released, so no real searching for them. I sold them because they were mostly stored away in boxes, so I picked out my favourites and sold the rest. Approximately 1400 PS4 and 900 PS3 games were sold, and I still have around 150 PS4 games left. Loads of steel books went at the same time, although I still do have a nice selection left, with the likes of Shenmu 3, Medievil and Bloodstained.
@ nice so just downsizing a bit then, not always a good things and can be quite liberating to really curate a collection
There was a Red Dead II Steelbook at my Local CEX recently, but it didn’t have the outer case and extras so I passed on it… 🤷♂️
I think it’s a pretty rare and fairly expensive one, even without the slipcase, one to keep an eye out for for sure!
@ for sure… Great score with the Batman Steelbook too, I’ve got all four - Joker, Catwoman, Penguin and Two face. Some didn’t come with the outer sleeves but was then able to pick up other varients (mainly Joker) that did have sleeves so I could swap and “complete” the others 👌
@@jimkhana007 that’s a great way to finish them off with the slipcase, I know I’m missing one for the PS3 and I need to check which one before my next hunt lol
What ill never understand is why they are called steelbooks, think about it, it's just a metal case, you wouldn't call a regular game a plastic book would you? No, so please...it's just a metal case. Nothing book about it

@ it is indeed the only person I’ve seen find one is Tvm last year.

That Xbox is definitely modded if it has an Evo X dashboard. The dvd drive can be fixed by taking it apart, opening the dvd drive up, cleaning it and changing the dvd drive belt. It'll probably have games installed on it as well.
Yeah it’s strange as it never seemed to load anything up, could it be a hard dive issue?
I meant like a menu for games installed
@ Could be hard drive related or a corrupt software install.
@ I’ll have to try again and see what happens, thanks for the advice
Well it has Evo X which is modded software and a chip. XBMC is a way to play copied games and other stuff. However, it should of booted to a custom dashboard. Not straight to that software. So you could access the rest of the system. There are tonnes of videos on YT showing you how to access the rest of the system. It's definitely worth playing around with.

Regarding sealed games, for myself they're a NO, the first thing I would do is open it, and eventually play it, so evidently not worth it for me. Annoyingly the only time I've seen a copy of Boom Street for Wii it was a sealed copy, so I'm still hunting for that game.
I’ll only really pick them up if I come across them super cheap, say at a charity shop, and then I’ll try and sell them to someone who wants a sealed copy. That’s annoying, I take it it’s a rare game and the sealed copy was more expensive?
@DanTheGamesMan Boom Street for Wii, is kind of rare, in so far as it's about the only Westernised version of a very long series of Japanese games, which go back year's; to the best of my knowledge. Plus it's got a big image of Mario on the front cover, which will always add significant value to any Wii game, and it was a relatively late release for the system. The game is great fun to play, especially multiplayer, kind of an extended version of the Monopoly board game, if anyone else likes playing that, me I do.
@ sounds pretty cool and I’ll keep an eye out for it, goes to show how massive the Wii catalogue is when I’ve never heard of it of it
