Sadly I think that's true for many, even if they don't realize it yet; Pokemon is at the cusp of wither greatness or decline, but it's up to them to decide which one...
@@emperorcubone pokemons been declining for years, people have been requesting and demanding features for years to no avail, this next game must not only function very well with smooth performance, it must be a good complete game. gamefreak is greedy and lazy, the games kep being dumbed down and made easy with no challenge. i dont have any hope of this being good.
I'm personally hoping that abilities will be used. PLA didn't use them due to using a modified battle system, as well as a different engine (I think), but considering that Zygarde's main gimmick is tied to its ability, and that a lot of Mega Evolutions also buff pokemon by altering their ability (like Mega Gyarados using Mold Breaker, instead of Intimidate or Moxie, Mega Pinsir gaining Aerilate, and Heracross having Skill Link), it would be a shame to not see them used in-game
Honestly I am expecting the gameplay to be WWWAAAAYYY different from legends Arceus and it almost being a city development sim or something like that, the fact it is called a legends game doesnt dispute this bc well its just 1 game, thats not a pattern, it could just be they slap the legends label mayor new spin-offs as a sort of creative outlet side series. Why you ask.... well bc imo you can't have the gameplay of legends Arceus really work in just 1 city
I don't disagree; but if it's JUST a city planning game without any Pokemon aspects to it other than some decor I'm gonna be sorely disappointed at such a blatant cash grab...
@@emperorcubone no I am definitely expecting 3d movements and such, I dont expect it to go full sims either. And idk depending on how they do it any genre could be fun
I'd find it cool if Mega Stones weren't needed to Mega Evolve pokemon in this game. Because it's so much closer to the firing of the ultimate weapon, Pokemon might be able to naturally mega evolve without the use of mega stones. Or, alternatively, there could be large deposits of Mega Stones for specific pokemon across the map, allowing pokemon of the same species to mega evolve across Lumiose City.
Considering we are only getting Lumiose City in Legends ZA (Still convinced its set after the events of XY), since a past setting is kinda redundant with a 'redevelopment', since we already know how Lumiose looks like in the present (XY). A future setting is also way easier for relocation of some area's. Like the Battle Facility is basically already in the game - the Battle Chateau... they can easily relocate that in Lumiose themselves, same with the Daycare thats on the same route and with the redevelopment they can include the Lumiose Badlands, which is north of Lumiose and contains the Power Plant to be part of the city as well. Maybe they can even dig out the Badlands, have the city on top of it and then the Power Plant on the bottom section.
I cant believe they decided to make it ONLY in one city, so stupid and pathetic. It better be the size of an actual city, bigger than any pokemon city ever. If it takes me less than 20 minutes to run from one side of the map to the other side then they have 100% failed in my eyes
Aw, I didn't even think about the daycare but that would be so cool to have, and remind me of all the time I spent in Gen 6 circling Prism Tower to hatch eggs!
@@Dan55888 because they're taking their time for the first time in recent memory. And LA was better than the other two recent games in most estimations, so I'm feeling hopeful.
I'm still holding on my theory that Hoopla will end up being responsible for space-time rifts in these games. Possibly with a whole post-game event building up to that reveal. Hoopla invented the whole concept of space-time rift. It's just too perfect to use the space-time rift Pokemon, in a series that uses space-time rifts as a major mechanic, especially when you're doing it in the very region/generation it premiered in.
What i actually want is a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet third DLC where we go on a vacation to Kalos , we ditch the uniforms and buy new fasion , or we do another student exchange program
I hope heatran is there since in X&Y there’s a random npc who mentions a “lava dome Pokemon”, but I also hope they have magearna since it has a connection with volcanion
It needs to use parks within the city for wild areas and rivers, use the catacombs below the city and the option to use flying pokemon to access a flying wild area above the city, also maybe even a man made beach within lumiose city and lakes and Pokemon Showcases in the game to compete in ….. would be best to tie in the ledgends arecus gameplay and then fill the city with tons of life and NPC’s and side stories etc with every building accessible Of course I know this will never happen in a million years 😂 because its Game Freak and we will receive the bare minimum
number 1 thing, Give us some news about what happened to Ingo back in PLA, did he continue his bloodline and created the Protagonists, leading to a story about finding the Truth of your Ancestry & to be an Ideal Pokemon Trainer.
Isn't legends ZA taking place in the future? If I remembered correctly, that means that some of your ideas could be impossible for the devs to do. (In the first reveal the text says "Lumiose City Redevelopment Plan")
A bit off topic: A saw an X post that suggested that Pokemon Legends Z-A neither takes place in the past nor the future, but rather could be a retelling of Pokemon X & Y, akin to Rebuild of Evangelion and Final Fantasy VII Remake. What are your thoughts of this possibility?
That kind of conflicts with the reporting that the entire game is set solely in Lumiose City; unless our perspective is that of a random NPC in town and we only see the protagonist pass through a couple times and then see the Ultimate Weapon fire off in the distance. I wouldn't mind a Pokemon game like that where we're just a simple townsperson, but I don't think it'd sell very well.
It's so funny what people come up with because I Just had someone arguing the opposite; that the redevelopment plan meant whole game HAD to take place in the future!
I just want to experience the game without spoilers. My friend spoiled the whole game for me because I work a regular 40 hour a week job and he doesn't have a job so he got to speed run the game while I was taking my time and having fun smelling the roses. Literally, by the time he was at the final l fight of the game, I had just finished the second area.
This won’t improve the game, but as an Assassin’s Creed fan, with ZA being set in Kalos (France) I hope there’s a major character named Arno in the game.
Yep, it baffles me how bad they were at programming SV. You would think so deep into the Switchs lifespan things like the lag and problems with falling through the earth wouldnt be so hard to design around. Game runs like it is a 2023 version of Red/green held together by programming string there are so many glitches, except back then it was their first shot ever with no budget and a room of employees... Now it is the biggest franchise on the planet and they program it like it is everyones first day with no budget.
I honestly think this has the chance be a very different mainline Pokémon game but we will see. If it’s set in the past I would struggle to see how Team Flare would fit in but then they are probably the worst ‘evil team’ as they have odd goals. I just hope the game runs and plays well, and looks decent as it’s a bit of a weak spot since moving to the Switch!
I mean Team Galactic still showed up in a way in Hisui, so it's not out of the question! But I do think you're right in that it'll be quite a different game.
@@emperorcubone yeah they got Galactic in there really well I just feel team Flate is a weaker concept and I wonder how they would fit into a past version of Lumiose. Also they probably don’t want to do the same thing again so I would expect a small reference but that’s about it, like team flare is a new fashion brand or something just starting out, maybe you help in a side quest but who knows ???
I doubt Nintendo and game freak would do this but I think they should make it a tragedy if it takes place before Z fires the ultimate weapon, like throughout the game your built up to stop Z but you fail at the last moment. The post game deals with living with tragedy and you help rebuild.
anyone else wonder What Pokemon Legends Games would look like if they involved Pokemon Rangers in their respective regions? like Fiore or Almia. image a Legends Almia it taking place after Legends Arcus, The Story: The Left Over Frenzy Energy didn't disappear but drifted down south from Hisui to Almia it started to affect the pokemon their and now it up to Team Bright Moon(cheesy name i know i'm not that creative) to use their new Capture Devices that can Temporarily Capture pokemon for asking their help to calm down the Frenzy Pokemon and Villain wants to capture the Frezey'd mon to well evil stuff blah blah blah like i said not very creative.
I'm pretty sure the Ultimate Weapon is what caused that, but maybe Zygarde was on top of it trying to stop it from firing and that's why he got blasted into a bunch of tiny cells?
HOT AIR BALLOONS. Not for the player, the player should fly around with help from a Pokemon, but other trainers could fly around in hot air balloons and we could fight them in sky-battles. That would be very cool
According to their official Twitter, they seem to mean the city specifically. It's possible that there're some ways to explore the outskirts or something, but even that is an unknown.
I would like ANY information on the game before I get any hopes up. I'm not gonna let it get me hyped up just because the last Legends game gamefreak finally did something great.
I somewhat agree. I very much would like to know when this game is meant to be set, in the past or in the future and if so, by how much. If we see a trailer, then we'll be able to know it well. Problem is, who even knows when the trailer is gonna come since the game just says 2025, meaning it can come either early or late, which can drastically effect trailer release potential.
I'd just like info to possibly have any hope at all When I saw the initial teaser I just had absolutely zero interest in it at all, and I'm not 100% sure of the odds it ends up being a game I wanna buy
i like the idea of legends games giving us features we've spent years asking for, to that end how about changing the pokeball my mons are in or finally getting the post game option to open my own gym
That might be the one feature I want most in any Pokemon game; even if it's just a one time chance to swap it out I would love to be able to customize a Pokeball after capture! (That's one thing I love about Dynamax/Tera Raids; you can always know the Pokeball will land so you can use ones that would normally not work!)
I really hope that there isnt a massive grind to progress the story... I stopped playing pla because it takes so long to literally play the story... Either that, or they add a 'low grinding' mode or suchlike, because it's really immersion breaking to have Ingo say 'come to xyz location' and its locked behind 5 hours of catching and defeating Pokémon to raise your star rank
I tried to play/explore as much as I could before ever even Trying to progress the story in Arceus; it made the game much more fun to play at your own pace when you don't go right to the way-point they show you and let it breathe for a bit...
I think they need to give pokemon dynamic AI and pathfinding. My biggest complaints about PLA was the lifelessness from the world. Just a bunch of dolls hopping around.
Here's a pretty big point: online battling. That is the number one criticism of legends Arceus I have heard. If ZA doesn't have online battling with other people, I'm not buying it. It's not worth it without being able to battle my friends.
@@emperorcubone except Cyrus was just ever the leader of Team Galactic. Lysandre was listed as the founder of team flare iirc. (and it was galaxy crew, not team galactic).
I for one am completely on board for abolishing "Mythicals". Time gated FOMO tactics really need to go, go put some effort into actually making content for your game. Since Arceus already did it with Volo being associated with Cynthia getting Giratina, I have a suspicion that Z-A might follow in Master's footsteps and have either the Lysandre stand-in interacting with Volcanion, or Diantha's stand-in interacting with Diancie. South and Northwest expansions on Kalos' map might be fun. But we'll see how big the maps really are, or heck, even if it's set in the future, past or present. I already think it is a dubious decision to have the entire setup for the Kalosian War and AZ's whole unused plots and not have the game set up in the past, but there's no way they'll go back 3000 years. We can't know what patterns are patterns without the second game releasing, but since Team Galactic became Galaxy Team, i wouldn't be surprised if Team Flare became 'Flair Team' or whatever and it became the Team assigned with making the city reforms. Whatever it is I just hope it ends up being good and not almost falling apart at the seams on release.
The fact this game is in the same 3 year period its going to disappoint. Sure it’ll be different and possibly fun but THEY NEED TO work harder. Take more time on it. They care too much about churning out this stuff more than quality
You don't even need to have every individual person worker harder; just hire MORE people. They have the money, so if they can't get the job done pay someone who can!
@@emperorcubone more people = more complexity. Lots of people know the more amount of people working on a game makes it more complex. But like you said they have the money so idk how Mario has so many different studios working on Mario Party, Mario Kart, Mario Sports, 2D Mario, 3D Mario, RPG Mario and Mario spinoffs and yet Pokemon only has 2 teams. Pokemon works is barley the third team. They are the biggest franchise so IDK why Mario has more studios than the biggest franchise in the world

@@emperorcubone I'm 37 years old now. Been playing the games since the originals. These games have become crazy easy on the difficulty. Not only that the franchise hasn't evolved or improved enough, especially in the graphical department. Content we are always getting ripped off. It's no longer gotta catch em all. I could rant at length from pokemon x And y onwards about specific things that irked me but I will save you that. I love pokemon always will but they are not doing enough and people on a much lower budget and staff do far more then pokemon company/game freak. Coromon has variable difficulty which you can change at any time , even has a built in nuslocke mode. One might say the franchise is solely for kids but truly it's for everyone. Sadly I think that's true for many, even if they don't realize it yet; Pokemon is at the cusp of wither greatness or decline, but it's up to them to decide which one...
How about instead of standing in between two extremes instead you just do a case-by-case basis.
We are getting Megas. It would make no sense to get them back without their abilities.
We need a catacombs with high ghost type encounters
Oh and don’t shinylock
Yeah, shinylocking is not great; like if I want to waste my time hunting for a rare shiny Legend that should be my choice!
I have such high hopes for this game. Easily the most excited I've been for a new title since USUM.
Why though, they have announced practically nothing.
Honestly I thought of the Heatran connection first thing! But with it being heavily featured in the Last Legends game I don't know if it will...
@@emperorcubone we can dream!
You forgot #7. Bring back the over world shiny SFX and VFX
This is a must! I don't know how many shiny Pokemon I've found Arceus without even trying, but Paldea has me paranoid I'm missing so many...
I did not have TOTK footage on my bing card for this video!
You gotta admit, it'd be cool though, right?
@@emperorcubone slowpoke tail gives you bullet time on your throws!
It needs to use parks within the city for wild areas and rivers, use the catacombs below the city and the option to use flying pokemon to access a flying wild area above the city, also maybe even a man made beach within lumiose city and lakes and Pokemon Showcases in the game to compete in ….. would be best to tie in the ledgends arecus gameplay and then fill the city with tons of life and NPC’s and side stories etc with every building accessible
Of course I know this will never happen in a million years 😂 because its Game Freak and we will receive the bare minimum
number 1 thing, Give us some news about what happened to Ingo back in PLA, did he continue his bloodline and created the Protagonists, leading to a story about finding the Truth of your Ancestry & to be an Ideal Pokemon Trainer.
Can pangoro get a evolution like ursaluna
I could go for that!
Isn't legends ZA taking place in the future? If I remembered correctly, that means that some of your ideas could be impossible for the devs to do. (In the first reveal the text says "Lumiose City Redevelopment Plan")
Redevelopment has occurred numerous times throughout history, so I don't know if that alone would preclude a past setting...
@@emperorcubone Then again, it is possible that the statement of it taking place entirely in Lumiose City could be a mistranslation.
A poke all
Specifically designed to catch mega Pokémon either have them like alpha or just increase catch rate on Pokémon that can mega evolve
That'd be fun! And then people would be shocked when it works on some random other Pokemon, meaning they've got a new Mega in the game!
Just give us Eternal Flower Floette.
It's basically confirmed to be taking place after XY though as there is an npc in the trailer seen using what looks to be a phone.
Apparently those who believe this game to be set in the past believe that it's just a mere idealization or something, which I personally find stupid.
Mega Dugtrio let’s go
Make it actually run properly unlike SV
That is a must!!
This game will most likely be set in the past, since the development of Lumiose City is based on the mass renovation of Paris in the mid 19th century.
We could get AZ Folette
That's cool on all, but could we actually get AZ FLORGES instead?
Gamefreak be like: write that down! These are the things we'll definitely avoid!
I just don’t want a repeat of Scarlet and Violet. A train wreck.
Seconded! I'd like a Complete game on launch, please!
Exactly, my friend. Exactly.
Oof
The Pokemon holding items is a thing I’ve always wondered, like why do the Pokemon not actually hold the items when they come out of the pokeball
Right? It was weird when the anime had to basically give Pokemon belts and stuff to make sure their Mega Stones were on their person...
I don't think the game's going to be set that far back, especially going off what we see in the trailer
I could go for a story like that! I don't know that they'll do it, but it'd be a nice change of pace.
Diancie has a mega
Hoopa has unbound
Give Volcanion a new form!!!
This is true; it's only fair!
Dude you sound exactly like a Tricker I watch on yt
anyone else wonder What Pokemon Legends Games would look like if they involved Pokemon Rangers in their respective regions? like Fiore or Almia. image a Legends Almia it taking place after Legends Arcus, The Story: The Left Over Frenzy Energy didn't disappear but drifted down south from Hisui to Almia it started to affect the pokemon their and now it up to Team Bright Moon(cheesy name i know i'm not that creative) to use their new Capture Devices that can Temporarily Capture pokemon for asking their help to calm down the Frenzy Pokemon and Villain wants to capture the Frezey'd mon to well evil stuff blah blah blah like i said not very creative.
Four words; mega flygon
I'm hoping we see how zygarde is somehow responsible for mega evolution
I'm pretty sure the Ultimate Weapon is what caused that, but maybe Zygarde was on top of it trying to stop it from firing and that's why he got blasted into a bunch of tiny cells?
HOT AIR BALLOONS. Not for the player, the player should fly around with help from a Pokemon, but other trainers could fly around in hot air balloons and we could fight them in sky-battles. That would be very cool
I think it'd be fun for the player to do both!
Do we know for certain it takes place entirely in the city or is that just speculation?
According to their official Twitter, they seem to mean the city specifically. It's possible that there're some ways to explore the outskirts or something, but even that is an unknown.
All I want is new megas... And through sheer copium alone... I want them all to come to the eventual black and white remakes
I'd just like info to possibly have any hope at all
When I saw the initial teaser I just had absolutely zero interest in it at all, and I'm not 100% sure of the odds it ends up being a game I wanna buy
i like the idea of legends games giving us features we've spent years asking for, to that end how about changing the pokeball my mons are in or finally getting the post game option to open my own gym
@@emperorcubone that's true... Maybe open world games just aren't for me then.
I think they need to give pokemon dynamic AI and pathfinding. My biggest complaints about PLA was the lifelessness from the world. Just a bunch of dolls hopping around.
And if not that, at least some more trees!
mega maushold and give it parental bond💀
9:59 what is that from?
I don't know exactly, but I found it on Google!
Looks like a mod for BDSP.
Here's a pretty big point: online battling. That is the number one criticism of legends Arceus I have heard. If ZA doesn't have online battling with other people, I'm not buying it. It's not worth it without being able to battle my friends.
I would say there's a lot more to Pokemon than battling, but I can't deny that is a Huge component of the enjoyment for many players!
I love Volcanion
That's not one you hear much, but it is the only Water and Fire type so I can see it!
I just want a better bag then the one in Legends Arceus that cost a ton to hold more items
That extortion was ludicrous! That's literally where all my money was going...
I would like to being able to battle online with friends online
Team Flare before Lysandre wouldn’t make sense
Like Team Galactic before Cyrus...? I think it'd be fine.
@@emperorcubone except Cyrus was just ever the leader of Team Galactic. Lysandre was listed as the founder of team flare iirc. (and it was galaxy crew, not team galactic).
Hello there.
Back away, I will deal with this Jedi slime myself!
I’m just hoping we get AZ fowette
NO MORE DEX CUT IN ALL THE FUTURE POKEMON GAMES!
It was 69 views when I clicked on the video
More cross gen evolution is all I care honestly
Who would you want the most? I'd like to see Tropius!
They are the biggest franchise so IDK why Mario has more studios than the biggest franchise in the world
A legends game and its my favorite region. Im so hyped. When gen 6 ended, i feel into a bit a slump and i kinda had a bad first impression with gen 7(games and anime) and i felt i was the only one who didnt really enjoy sun and moon the first time. And i wasnt even excited for the ultra games when they were announced. But after awhile i decided to preorder it especially when dusk lycanroc was revealed. And i got alot of flack for liking xy being told i have bad taste. How rude.
I won't say it's bad taste, but I am impressed they're you're favorites! It just shows you have unique style! I got a 2DS and Y version just after having major leg surgery, so all I could do was sit around and it was Amazing to get lost in the Kalos region! Made a bad situation bearable, so I'm glad you like it so much!

I hate legends arceus so hopefully I’ll like this one more

If it open world, I'm not buying it
What if we make pokeball into pb-gun, like a BB gun.

It depends on the way they go about it, but Detective Pikachu 2 did flop pretty hard...
I will say that my child self would have been very disappointed at the lack of difficulty in the games.
I find myself very disappointed with pokemon ever since x and y. I still kept buying them but got let down. Scarlet and violet initially had me hyped but again massive letdown.
The amount of money gamefreak and pokemon company have there is no effing excuse for thre not to have enough staff or funding to make a epic content packed pokemon rpg adventure we have all been dreaming of since kids.
