The man is secretly at the same level of Saliba and Saka in his own way. I know people always talk about defenders playing in midfield but in Timbers case I would love to see him in the middle of the pitch. He can play with his back to goal and turn on a dime.
Funny enough, both Timber twins can play across the defense and midfield, but we got the one that chooses to be in defense

If Pep could play Stones at defensive midfield alongside Rodri, why can't Timber play? He used to do it at Ajax, why not now? Arteta is teaching us we can't fixated on positions, 90% of Arsenals players are positionless - only exception might be Saliba, Gabriel and the goalkeepers. Everyone else in this Arteta system is basically taking up a position or space where available and must be able to be good with their feet for ball progression, at the very least.
I’m wondering how we will fit everyone. Timber kinda gotta start, but he can’t start at left back because Ricardo is going there, Ben white and Saka is like meat and potatoes. It’s so much talent lol and we still haven’t found a 9 😂
