2nd Performance to use the "neon crosses" set (other being New Order's Blue Monday), the neon crosses were sort of a precursor to the neon boxes set that followed (which was introduced for the 1000th show and used for most of the '80s with slight modifications).
@@chiripa8831 BBC Television Centre, they did the show from there since 1966 and then from the larger Studio G at Lime Grove Studios in mid-66. Then they moved to TVC permanently with the move to colour in November 69.
top of the pops demanded all acts mime to tracks. it was a real challenge for metal bands and only a few were able to argue the point of playing live. I think Iron maiden did it with running free but had to be really quiet. ZZ top also played live and had to go through a pissy little dirty amplifier so they werent too loud
I remember I was 11 when I saw this. 52 now and still brilliant
Beautiful playback... Love em anyway
First single I bought on my own. Born in 73. UK. Has a great message this song
Remember watching this live on TV at 6 years old. Snider looked like some kind of monster! Brilliant stuff
Don't judge a book by its cover -this was a great band with longevity!
I saw them at their peak in 1984. They bust their asses on stage. Absolutely electric performance.
Love the hair!. Total 80's hair metal!. It's a cracker of a track though...one of my theme songs...take the lyrics to your heart and live free!.
They remind me of a mix of Sweet and New York Dolls.
Finally a version of this performance with good audio!
Nice bait mate

He scared the crap out of me 😂

Ya no subes videos, el que más vistas tiene es hasta que me olvides
Just remember, what you're hearing, was not what the audience heard, they're not actually mimes, they made a noise!
A whole nation flinches
サイコー
They are air jamming theres no way they are doing this live.

Interesting thank you for the educational aspects of what I was seeing I thought it was different.
*_ALL the bands that play there never play live._*to
Why have the Marshall amps if you are miming?
Unlimited Totality

ディー・スナイダーはこのショーの前に100メキシコドルを摂取したと言われている。
blimey I didn't realize he looked like such a drag act!
