I'm 18 but I listened to 80s and 90s hair metal my whole life even underrated bands, but this band I never heard of until peacemaker. Kinda embarrassed I never heard of them.
@@robdog4062 I'm going to guess you're only scratching the surface of the bands from that era that you don't know. I've been listening to music from the '80's since I was in middle school, and I still run into bands that I'm not familiar with from back then. Too much good stuff came out in a very short period of time.
I was surprised to even hear it. They didnt have the fame of BonJovi, Poison, Crue, GNR. I put them in the catagory of Kix, Dangerous Toys, enuffzenuff, trixter, etc of forgotten hair bands
RIP Guy Bailey. Absolutely love this song and video. It's now 23rd December 2024 and I'm not tired of listening to it over and over. I hope to see you guys on tour soon, need to see those beautiful dimples of Spike.
First time I saw these guys was at the Monsters of Rock gig at Castle Donnington three days before my 21st birthday way back in 1990!!!!! They were amazing...
@@barryward2596 Yep, not a bad lineup that year. Thunder were magnificent, Aerosmith were fab too. I'd already seen The Quireboys supporting Malmsteen in Manchester a couple of years earlier and they blew him off the stage.
Going to see these bad boys in my hometown of Paisley Scotland on Sunday 18th September 2016. We were so blessed back in the day to have so many bands like Quireboys, Cinderella, Poison, Thunder etc. These bands, songs, anthems were ten a penny and never appreciated them till now when its too late and we are left with the shit we have now. Anyway, great band, great town, great venue got the makings of a great night!!
I love this. How did I not know about them in the 80's. I thought I knew all the 80,s bands. I lived it!! Oh, maybe my brain wasn't working that well then. Wink, wink, nod, nod🤔🤫🤪🤯🥴
The Dj in the first bar I worked in used to kick off the evening with this song. Id forgotten about it but it does stand the test of time. As You Tuber GG commented, "Rod Stewart meets The Black Crowes".
When the Black Crowes were just breaking out, the Quireboys were considered the Crowes' contemporaries. Sadly, they fell by the wayside. But eventually the Crowes did, too. This type of music is going away. People coming up just seem to want to hear hip hop or synth/electronic music. People don't care about real talent in musicians any more.
Oh i remember this song,I used to crank up the volume when I heard it on the radio. I eventually bought the cassette. Then later on I somehow lost it in a move or someone stole it...
You all seemed to have missed them. I can't remember which radio station I first heard this but I was in bed..... on my own and had a bloody good wiggle to it. The blues come and go but it will never die.
I’m one of those dumb shits who had the opportunity to see these guys live, but passed it up because it was an over 18s club and I was only 15. My mate who looked younger than me got in with no trouble, told me it was f’in awesome 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤦🏻♂️
When I first heard this song, I thought it was the Black Crowes. Later on I found out that this band actually preceded the Black Crowes but it was the latter band that went on to greater success.
sweetprincess Andrea thwy are playing at stirling in 2017!! i seen them in new castle and i meet spike and then i meet him in glasgow in scotland a few months after x
Andrea Bancroft you are so lucky I'd love to meet Spike Thank you for replying I'm definitely 100% gonna go see em as soon into 2017 as I can. I absolutely love them. Merry Christmas. xx
If you're still looking to see them they are playing Chepstow Castle in late August. I've been to this venue a few times, it is a real castle and the stage and viewing area are down inside the battlements. It's an awesome place to see any band
spudy1216 Yeah Thank you BIG TIME. Seriously Thank you so so much I'll look into getting tickets in the morning as 2016 especially well the last 4years but last 8th worst health wise for my husband and I know going there would be great for him too. Thank you I'm proper greatfull

When I first heard this track on the radio in 1990, I thought, "Oh Rod Stewart and the Faces are back together." Great song.
I was just listening to rod stewart and it made me think of this song
Before he was a pop star, Rod was a great rock singer.
I've never made the connection, but now that you've said it, I hear it as well.
RIP Guy Bailey, underrated guitar hero if there ever was one
Late 80s, Sector 5 nightclub, Leicester ❤❤ Thanks so much for these amazing memories Quireboys!xx
Such an underrated band
Loved hearing this on "Peacemaker" show. Great song, wore out the cassette back in the day 🎸
One of my favourite bands in the day. And still is
Peacemaker: WHERE THE F@#K ARE MY SOCKS?!

One of the best bands that never made it massive and they should have. I was there and it was great. Ive been there in recent years too. RIP Guy x
The way spike comes down from that attic/upstairs always makes me think he lives up there, and jumps down at 7 pm.🥳
RIP Guy Bailey. Absolutely love this song and video. It's now 23rd December 2024 and I'm not tired of listening to it over and over. I hope to see you guys on tour soon, need to see those beautiful dimples of Spike.

I have the CD
Love his voice 💞💞
I tell you the singer and the rest of the band sound just like Rod Stewart and the Faces and not a cheap imitation either.
The first time I heard this on the radio I honestly thought Rod Stewart went and gone himself a new band!
But honestly, these guys are great!
First time I saw these guys was at the Monsters of Rock gig at Castle Donnington three days before my 21st birthday way back in 1990!!!!! They were amazing...
Was that with Whitesnake headlining

Quireboys.....1984
The Black Crowes...1986
Something is wrong in what You Tube GG commented.
Oh i remember this song,I used to crank up the volume when I heard it on the radio. I eventually bought the cassette. Then later on I somehow lost it in a move or someone stole it...
Saw them in Swansea yesterday 12/5/24, still amazing, with guest on guitar Luke Morley of thunder,
You all seemed to have missed them. I can't remember which radio station I first heard this but I was in bed..... on my own and had a bloody good wiggle to it. The blues come and go but it will never die.

I love me blast from the past aye :P
grew up on there music
I can only listen to this on 1.5x speed. Anything less and it sounds like everybody is on tranquilizers.
so damn sleazy.. i 1000% love it
It's simply a great rock and roll song. Sounds like something from 1972 that Keith Richards or Rod Stewart forgot to write.
Wow 🤘
The core of the band must be in their 50's. They should be able to put it back together and blow the doors off.
They are touring. Spike still sounds great based on the clips I have seen lately.
I have never heard of them before Peacemaker 😳
And I thought I knew the 80's rockers... they're not bad.
kick ass song
7 oclock time for the party
I NOT KNOW OF THIS BAND IS GOOD THANK YOU FOR UPLOAD SALUTED FROM HONDURAS
I still like it.
Loved this track and their debut album. The Dogs D'Amour were my band, however.

最高だぜ!
rock city tomorrow night whooooooooooooo
This band sounds like young Rod Stewart! Fucking Great!
The most Faces/Rod Stewart song ever recorded that isn't actually Faces.
When I first heard this song, I thought it was the Black Crowes. Later on I found out that this band actually preceded the Black Crowes but it was the latter band that went on to greater success.
I saw both bands years ago. Quireboys were much better.
Peacemaker brought me here. lol
Sounds like Rod Stewart and The Faces

mrwhitford1966 They re one of hair blues bands that appear in late 80's. Sort of GNR in styles. Aerosmith have hardrock riffs and not too bluesy.
mrwhitford1966 G&R formed in 1985. Axl was in Hollywood Rose from '83-'85. Tracii Guns left LA Guns in '85 to join the band, at which point they changed the name to Guns & Roses.
Really
The Faces for the 80's
Great point!
Peacemaker brought me here
最高!
He looks like Phill Lewis 😂
