- Hi everyone we are going to build a basic 1 cord firewood rack for all of our camp wood! I am going to be recycling all used lumber and screws ive collected over the last few weeks! This wood skid costs me nothing at all so hopefully you enjoy!

Hey Dave! Yes we are going to stain this next week my dad will bring up the sprayer and well shoot this! He has some exterior black stain he wants to get rid of so I think we are going to spray it black and see how it comes out!

Hello Jay, too bad you didn’t get 4 mor of those pallets, this way you could stack 2 cord vertically with a roof over the top. Clear out one side, then refill, while you burn the other.
This is my basic idea of 1 open bin / side on an 8x8x8.5 shed roof, wood storage shed, each shed will hold 4 cords, plus the quick and dirty wood racks in between each shed should give me close to 10 cord of storage off the ground, and a nice privacy fence for the kids to play in the back yard!
Hey Pat! I know I wish I had more of these pallets! Thats the issue with pallets where I get them from they are always so different and its tough! I need a handful of the same size pallets and it would be nice! Thank you for your feedback! This is just a camp firewood rack so I dont need 5 cords of camp wood lol 1 cord should be fine!
@@HomesteadJay Jay this I understand, look for a construction site, for some type of industrial treatment plant that is getting upgraded. This is a good way to find 2x4’s and pallets of some of the larger pallets. These places usually just toss them into the garbage or landfills. If money is not an issue, and your willing to purchase pallets look for a supplier that builds custom pallets.

Yes you can do that for sure! I wanted to use the smaller 2x4s I had kicking around! Trying to recycle and clean up around the wood yard!

Looks good to me.. And built with less that what 10bucks maybe 20 at most??
Cost me nothing. all the 2x4s were free and even the 3" coated decking screws I got from another giant skid lol
