Audio is a lot more balanced in this one, Lee (intro volume and your voice volume are at a reasonable level -- I'm using headphones). Thank you for logging all that time on the test server! I wonder if the new content will match the health and mitigation being granted on the PTS (whereas older ccontent will be a lit easier?).
For now, I'm just happy that my tank has overall more resources and higher mitigation. Although sustainability took a hit on my 6 x Argonian Tanks (Dragon Knight , Night Blade, 2 x Wardens, Templar and Necromancer) which are all dependent on potions. Never did understand why the potion passive was nerfed anyway. With my current 1360 CP, I can almost max out the blue constellation pertinent to Tanking only and I'm OK with that. Not concerned about DPS, since I suck at rotations and LA weaving. One of my 2 DPS character is my Master Crafter. The other DPS is my inventory mule. With regards to these 2 DPS toons, I'm not even bothered to reallocate most of their CP and skill points. I only re-assigned points to crafting related skills.
After the patch overnight I went from soloing a world boss to getting 1 shot by that same boss. Block and Dodge both cost more to use now, takes roughly 1/4th of my bar to roll out of that magical attack now that is going to do more damage to me. I no longer have the stamina to maintain the buffs/debuffs expected of me. Strong attacks do not restore the same amount of stamina any more either. I gone from a defensive support role to a taunting/dodge bot. Those of you at high CP might feel strong, but for those of us in the 300 range I don't even recognize my character.
Just wondering if you still feel this way or if you got things figured out? How you allocate those 300cp are gonna be the biggest factor in how it feels.
@@candyhandsjf7288 After making multiple attempts to make it work, even trying different classes, I shelved the game entirely. If I wanted a playstyle that micromanaged resources, I would have made a DPS. It isn't fun, at all. Not sure what they are thinking, but it certainly feels like they punish you if you play a tank or healer. Especially when 90% of the game doesn't require a tank. Only trials and harder dungeons, that's about it. But for solo play? It's too painful.
You did the dmg tests with blocked attacks and compared the numbers. Do you also have results for unblocked magickal and physical attacks compared to the pre patch?
Changing CP for each trial probably won't be a thing, especially once you reach over 1000CP. There just isn't enough variety of options that are worth investing point in for Tanks that they need to switch for different content.
Another good option for starters (in my opinion) would be argonian for the built in tripot passive, Imperials are good too for the max stats but having that much more Regen on stats when you pop a pot on-top of your ulti is crazy, but my bad ass tank is Imperial as well lol
This is the 4th update. First week of PTS was v6.3.0 and then we've had v6.3.1 and v6.3.2, this weeks update and current PTS patch is v6.3.3 which is the 4th week.
i tried my setup from live on pts with olms as well and was using defensive stance and it was hitting for 14k, so if i was applying heroic slash and was on a sorc with bound aegis it might go lower than 10k and was with 5 11 and not 7 heavy
How about 600/810 comparison live vs PTS? 1100 is obviously going to do something more than 810 otherwise people wouldn't bother grinding/progressing in CP...
I tested all 100 increments but I didn't want the video to last longer so I just spoke about the important numbers. Looking at 600/810 didn't seem that important since 300-400CP on PC = same as 810 on Live. 600CP and 810CP on PTS is going to be stronger than on the live server in that case so it didn't seem like it really needed to be mentioned.

Will be interesting to see if the new trial in June will just be stupidly high damage or if they will just nerf mitigation in the future.
To Tank a monster you need to become a monster i'm good with that Idea 😁 first mmo on earth who celebrate Tanks 😉
Still everyone complains: "There are no tanks!"
Tanks you must do everything
very nice as always
This is great news been off the game for a while. Now happy to come back to my Imperial dk tank. Thanks for the info
Jesus , thanks for ur work man , glad we will see a lot more people playing tank , will be the cheapest role .

Brilliant. Thx.
Just made my 1st tank ever in mmo and I love it, I hope op for tanks is the case

Tc lee on Xbox format? Nice I was in a group with you back in halls of fabrication if I got the right guy😄
Brilliant stuff - thanks very much. I take I we will still need to change cp for different trials etc? How will we factor this in?

@@TheTankClub this sound likes a good news to me, 1800+ cp and still gaining cp :D
@@spyingforyou6034 It is good news :)
Hello there. Are this tests with the "old" 20% block medigation passiv or the "new" 6% from fitness tree? :)
It’s the new 6%, he shows it in the video at 11:00
Well I'm blind sometimes. Ty 🙈
What would be the best tank character, what race and role should I pick I’m new
If you are new then I personally would choose Imperial Dragonknight

Tanking with 1800 cp is like boss
Tank close oor equal 3600 cp is like godmode lol
You can't even use 3600 CP really, you end up with a lot of slottable CP that you can't use!
There can be only four! (Highlander movie accent)
And tanking with 250 cp feels like I am a wardens pet.
They make big changes on second and fourth pts update. The next pts update is the fourth one. Still time for some changes.

Wonder how Bound Aegis adds up to this.

@@TheTankClub OK, thanks for the extra info :) Seems tanks at 810 won't feel weaker, but rather stronger with new system... Interesting.
A game which has millions of players... Its mind-boggling how few people actually watched this video. Shows the state of gaming nowadays /facepalm
I'm just a small fish in a big pond
Overpowered my ass..
Horrible title😔
