I am sorry to hear of Prince. Losing a pet is incredibly hard. They give us their love unconditionally.
I am so sorry for your loss! My pup went over the rainbow bridge last April at 15 years old. I still miss my little stitching buddy and hearing her little steps walking around the house. Sending virtual hugs your way. ❤

So sorry about your boy Prince. We lost 2 dogs in 4 months from October to January. They were older, but it was awful. Our other dog was as depressed as we were. ❤❤❤ Lovely stitching as usual. Have fun in your garden.

I really enjoyed my catch up with you while I was stitching. You’ve made lovely progress on all of your pieces. With Thy Hands is looking absolutely gorgeous! Was debating whether to go up to the house or work my way down and down was the way I went 😂. You are so right that it is a lovely one to stitch. I laughed when you said I was a terrible enabler! I love enabling!
I haven’t stitched Winter Wonderland and I don’t have the chart so will probably buy it later in the year when I allow myself a chart treat 😊. I did borrow it from someone a few years ago so that I could stitch the pinkeep. Take care my friend. Happy stitching 😊

There is no need to apologize for anything at all. My heart is with you. My beloved pup will be 15 next month. I always love seeing your stitching. When I want something to fray later in a controlled way, I sew a straight line in about an inch from the edge and go over it a second time. Then when gray happens, it stops at the sewing line.
So sorry to hear about Prince Elaine, it's hard losing a loved companion. Not long until Essex now. Very excited.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Prince. A pet’s love is just so special and it rips your heart out when it’s their time. My Toby passed almost 15 years ago and I still miss him every day. I use his photo as my thumbnail! The only consolation is that Prince is no longer in any pain and he’s got a lot of friends in heaven! ❤

@@elliewelliestitcher we had a similar experience with our first dog and it was so hard. So your video really hit home for me. I hope you find some solace and healing in your stitching.
I worked at a LNS for 10+ years & one lady did an afghan every year for all of her grandkids but she used to use ‘thingys’ that she got at a bike shop. Kept your pant legs wrapped up close to your legs. I know that if you called a bicycle shop & asked, they would know the name. Smooth plastic that acted like one handcuff with a little opening. But, she bought 3+ & it held the fabric so handily she didn’t have any issues. Maybe this will help … ❤ to you for Prince’s passing …😢

So sorry for your loss, I totally understand having lost my nearly 17 year old dog back in November, it’s so so hard. I still find every day very difficult because she isn’t here, my thoughts are with you.

Ahhh Elaine, I’m so sorry to hear about your boy Prince. I know it makes no difference if you’ve gone through losing a pet before or not, it’s still such a heartache to lose your furry family member. I see it every day at work and it never gets easier. It will be a year in March since I lost my Labrador Bertie and it still catches me sometimes and I suddenly get that pricking behind the eyes and lump in the throat. Just shows what a wonderful gift they are to us that they leave us with such lovely memories. Big hugs to you and to your other dog cos I’m sure she’s probably a bit lost as well now xxxx

Thanks for a great flosstube you find it so easy to talk for an hour flat out I would get all um's and aargh's! Just want to say that you enabled me to buy Chris Dunn's Bedtime Stories 😊 I was new to them when you showed your full coverage projects, I especially liked Cheese but chose Bedtime Stories instead. The count recommended is 25ct evenweave 2 over 1, this is alien to me is that what you used? Thanks Ellie x
Thanks for your kind words. Glad you like the Chris Dunn’s, his artwork is glorious and fun to stitch. I use 28 count as I like to stitch one over one and I prefer the coverage with 28 count. I have got a project on 25 count and I’m stitching that one over one also as I found the 2 over one a bit too bulky for my liking, but a lot of people prefer the 2 strands, I think it depends what kind of coverage you want. Maybe try a square in both and see which you prefer. I hope that helps xx

Hi Elaine. I am so sorry on the loss of your boy, Prince. I kind of wondered about it when I saw the IG post and there was only 1 of the dogs but also knew Prince was having mobility issues. Our fur babies mean so very much to us animal lovers and losing one is always so painful. I hope your wonderful memories of him help you through the grieving process. Definitely big hugs from me. Can I ask you for some advice please? I am stitching my first piece of 25 count lugana, which is a full coverage piece. I am doing 1/1 full cross but am really struggling with ending my threads. I do a loop start with the 1 strand (what a game changer that was when I learned how to do that) so beginning is not an issue. I am using a size 28 needle and I am really having trouble with how to end my threads as I cannot get my needle underneath the stitches. How to you end your threads since I know you do a lot of 1/1 on 25 or 28 count. Wonderful progress on both of your full coverage pieces. I can definitely see where Blackberry Dragon has a lot of confetti stitches in the area you were stitching this time so 2000 stitches is a lot of stitches. You really have been busy stitching, so much progress on so many projects. Wonderful job! Take care of yourself. Dawn in Texas
Thanks Dawn for your kind words ❤ with regard to finishing your thread, I do run my stitches under the others. I use a size 28 needle, but I use Piecemakers as I find they have a sharper point so it’s easier. Alternatively you could do a loop finish or a waste knot finish. I think Darren does a waste knot finish. I would only ever use a loop finish on a full coverage and not any other project because it’s not so secure, it’s fine for full coverage as you will stitch over the thread. There are you tube tutorials for both. I hope you are well. Take care my friend xx
