I do like a coincidence - whilst watching your flosstube I was stitching on one of the Snowflower Diaries Joyful World Series. At the beginning of the year I set myself a small challenge to complete the series. Well, I’m pleased to say I’m stitching -November. The coincidence is that, for some unknown reason, the design features is a Peacock. So I hope you don’t mind if I name her Ellie in honour of you and your flosstube. Thank you

Lovely to catch up with you here today. Seems such a long time ago since our visit now! I think the sheep will look ok when they are stitched but actually stitching them in 2 strands will help them standout a little and look even better. Have you watched Mouse Potato Designs where she does lots of her sheep in french knots.......😆How perfectly bahaved Bear was - he must have worn himself out on the beach! Hi Elaine, really enjoyed catching up with you as I stitched this afternoon. Your With Thy Hands is absolutely gorgeous! Hopefully mine will be finished soon too. It has been such a lovely stitch and I’ve loved stitching along with you. I don’t think I’ll be doing Winter Wonderland but I’m hoping my Cottage Garden Samplings peacock chart will be coming sometime this month so what do you think to that one? I always enjoy your flosstubes Elaine. I totally agree that 'collecting charts' is a thing - I've got so many I love looking at them too! I also love a fairy 🤣 Oh the sheep, I would double up the threads and maybe do the sheep in French knots to stand out 😉

As ever, a great video. I agree that you should do the sheep with 2 strands in the needle. Will add a bit of sheepy fluffiness and also make sure you can see them.

As a fairly new subscriber I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your videos and hearing your life updates about where you live, your big love-puppy, Bear, and really enjoyed watching the one where you gave us a little tour of your yard and all the out-buildings. I'll bet you have a fairy or two in your garden...the view from your yard, the fact that you live close to the ocean (sea?)...that's my idea of heaven! I think the sheep on your Love pattern by Little House Needleworks will show up just fine on that fabric. The cream in the border shows up really well. I think the idea to use two strands will make the sheep look nice and fluffy as a sheep should be! I love the Kitchen Garden pattern - it is so beautiful! Enjoy your weekend with your grandchildren!

Wonder where the peacock came from? They are beautiful. Great finish, both you and Sally have said how enjoyable that chart was. Its great that you have a friend who is now stitching👍😃. Hope she realises that its going to be a money muncher lol. I'm swapping cross stitch for polymer clay in the next few weeks, clearing all my books, patterns and probably most of the fabric. Could you stitch over the stain with a DMC that’s close to your fabric color? That might camouflage the stain!

Great wip parade Elaine, it was nice seeing some of the older ones again. I really think you will have no problem covering the rust mark. If that was me I'd be working my way down to get it sorted soon, rather than looking at it the whole time 😆 Your puppy is so adorable 😍

course we want to see your new puppy, i love a wip parade, as for the rust mark wait until you get near it then see if you can cover it with a motif , you are definitely gone too far to abandon it you can cover it it will be grand these things happen.

Re the rust mark. Either stitch over it or, trying it out on a tiny corner of the fabric first you could try spraying the back of it with a tiny bit of citric acid, rub in a bit of table salt and then after a few minutes rinse from the back with cold water water holding it so the rust flows away from any stitching. But as it’s overdyed it is a bit risky….what a nuisance. Bear is so cute! Lovely to see all your projects.

Some lovely wips there Elaine. Don’t be afraid of the Chatelaine. I have 3 Chatelaine wips. Once you get started you’ll be amazed how rewarding they are. Just remember 1 stitch and 1 section at a time. They are truly stunning. Happy Stitching 🌸💞🌸
