Thanks for this video! The game reminds me of the Avalon Hill games I played as a young man!

Terrific looking counters. I fear I may have to acquire this.

just for the heck of it I am going to put my other question out there also. The rules seem to say if the defender is in defensive terrain and the attacker is not... only the defender's SP is doubled. and if both the attacked and the defender are in defensive terrain... only the attacker's SP is doubled. but, the example in the rules of a unit attacking across a ford in defensive terrain does not seem to follow that rule

Hi Robert, my interpretation as follows....if both attacker and defender are in defensive terrain, both are doubled...sect 8 terrain effects 1st para defender gets bonus attacker only if in same terrain? Attacking across a ford or bridge is different see para 2 and 3 whatever terrain attacker starts in the sp is halved...its hard to attack across these features :)

@@prasutagustheorwellwargamer that would make sense except the rules state "Defenders in defensive terrain have their Strength Points doubled when assaulted from non-defensive terrain" and then on the example figure 4... the defender and attacker are both on defensive terrain. Sure the attacker is halved for attacking across the ford, but then doubled for the attacker and defender both being on defensive terrain right? However, I have a guess at what the designer was going for and how I will play it tonight. I will let you know how it goes

@@SaxonChronicles i dont think the assualter would get the double bonus, but be good to hear how you get on :)

could you help me with a question? I just got the game and read the rules. The rules say that only the tan hilltops with double lines are the elevated terrain. are all the other green hills on the map just decoration? the map seems to have three levels and the rules seam to only acknowledge two. The TEC and examples of play don't help

Hi Robert. I must confess i havent played this for a while, but my interpretation is as follows....there is elevated or defensive terrain only, so anything else is for aesthetics only....gorgeous map isnt it :) of course you could house rule a modifier...thats the beauty of a beer and pretzels style game...hope it helps all the best J

@@prasutagustheorwellwargamer LOL.... I have another question about defensive terrain but was trying to just stick to clarification on elevated terrain on the post. Just trying to figure out what the designer intended. thanks for the reply
