This is a great game. Have played it several times. a lot less pieces to handle then other Bulge games, simple but effective combat and supply rules. The best feature is that the german players selects the Scenario card but the Allies don't know what his objectives are: 1-full blow Hitler desire to cross the Meuse? 2- Plan Martin 3-the small solution 4-points battle, etc...

I agree this is a great game. Another one that the same vein that is also good is Celles: The Ardennes, December 23-27, 1944. Light on rules, heavy on gameplay.

Thank You sir for the review,,Just got this game a few weeks ago and plan on playing it with my brother.I have several of the Holdfast Systems from Worthington(Eastfront and Tunisia) and enjoy them very much.Only thing I was sorta disappointed in was that it doesn't use blocks as does the other Holdfast games. However, with your stamp of approval,it makes me feel better about my purhchase!

I might just pick this up…
Did you ever play Axis & Allies: Battle of the Bulge? It might be “low brow” but it’s currently my favorite Battle of the Bulge game and my favorite game in the Axis & Allies series

I played it back in the day, and thought it was just "all right." I may appreciate it more today.

I really enjoy this one because it's relatively quick and medium weight. I haven't played any of the heavy ones, (although I hear A Time for Trumpets is really good). Paul Keoning's 6th Panzer Army was pretty good as well.

What are you looking for? As the second most designed topic, there is a wide range of Bulge games. Complex? Simple? Quick? Long? Small foot print? Monster? There is even an Axis and Allies bulge game (which I like). So, you have to specify more.

In regards to the , Skorzaney PZ 150 Kampgruppe , Would having the Einhiet Stelleu Comando teams , 4 from the Avlon Hill BB 81 help ?, Capturing fuel Dumps and diverting the allied reinforcements,,,Joing up whith the Von der Hyte Victims ,ahem Kampfenggerruppen help ? ( a slight house modd ) !!, And i used to love the defender/ attacker engaged crt result as it shows how armour can slip in and ricochet from the engagement😢!!!,,, while. the attacking infantry were committed to that combat meaning , the defender player could reinforce the engaement in his turn affecting the crt in his favour while the attaing infantry were committed to the attack combat and could not move , unlike tanks , , Also race to the meuse by Wargamer magazine was very good extremely,,, focused on the supply tip ,celles 116 pz later in the campaign. A small but tight game ,

A game designed for those gamers who are not that intelligent and have a low attention span.
