The pleasure we get from these horses and then they are repaid by ending up in Hell. Agree with Lydia on all she said. One thing i would do is close the place down. I love racing but the thought of that place and some of the staff was disgusting. We owe them their dignity at the end of their lives.
The problem isn’t just dignity in end of life. The problem is that apparently we don’t compel owners (including syndicates) of potentially profit-making animals to take responsibility from cradle to grave. It’s not as if horses are bought and sold as pets. I think we need to ask ourselves whether we’re breeding too many horses and not doing enough to ensure owners have to show they can and will do what’s best for the horses they own when they don’t meet expectations or when their best days are past them.
I like talking points as a keen fan of horse racing but little insight into behind the scenes. Sometimes a little but more background on individual names when it comes to the authorities though.
I'm ashamed to be Irish and a fan of racing after that rte documentary, I've heard all about it as I couldn't watch anything remotely cruel to animals, the people involved need to face the worst possible legal and social ramifications, heartless scumbags.
Correct. She is a middle class snob and should get a proper job. Switched off after a minute. I watch racing. The daftie on itv racing should have been sacked a long time ago.
So sick of these so called racing experts gambled has long has i can remember do they know more than me and thousands like me too many so called experts with mega salaries
Yes Lydia is simply 1 of the best in the business an she should be used as a no 1 anchor interviewer everything in racing television
More Lydia she was amazing!! Also, love when Neil Channing is on he's fantastic this one a great Luck on Sunday
Lydia needs to be on more often. She is dynamite, no procrastinating like that Mirror boy . Really enjoyed her use of the TOSH word.
Lydia the best male or female presenter in the sport of racing
Intelligence and passionate, something many seem to be lacking.
Totally agree loves this sport and is more knowledgable than most.
Should be anchoring itv
@@antbarlow9941 It would certainly improve it.
She spoke for a couple minutes when asked the first question, and said everything bar an answer to the question.
Lydia is utterly brilliant. The day AP gave her an unjustified slagging becomes more ludicrous by the minute.
I was looking forward to hearing about the Ascot watering policy but for the most part all i heard was Nick Luck talking over the guest
Lydia is a brilliant talker .

Who is Nick Rust and Who is Harrington? Lydia got it correct - why expect a different outcome to the 'leader' if the same people are appointing them?

I hope that Ascot ground staff don't manage to screw the going up?
They should not be allowed to water the track at Ascot
Why is thirsk so difficult to pick winners its a flat track its worse than beverley
Europe has horrible weather. Longchamp in October RAIN, Ascot in June RAIN. How do you people put up with that ?
It's good to firm ground buddy
@@lean2281 rain expected wends, thrus and friday
A bit of rain beats tornados, hurricanes and earthquakes any day....
Lydia totally dominated Talking Points 👎 Would much rather listen to Channing, even if he is a foaming-at-the-mouth lefty
Both a hard listen. If Channing wasnt Luck"s pal he'd be sitting in his underpants punting 24/7
hello big lydia
Nick luck has plenty to say on all topics except when it comes to bookmakers and affordability....we all know why.
Lydia talks a good game but that's about it. Not a person to put too much faith in.
Channing a socialist. And what's his job? Poncing around on tv. 🤦
..is that a job just for Tories?
@@alanoneill3065 hes not a serious person and not a good advert for the hard left.
@@johnh1252 he does seem like a prat, but the question remains
Lydia talkin pure scutter as usual ..mute as soon as she comes in!!nearly as bad as Ed chamberlain on itv or Jamie lynch on at the races 🙈🙈

Watering must be penalising horses that like fast going
Lots of racehorses end up as dog and cat food
Eat the food on the table
The politician is not even the most disingenuous person on the sofa 😂
Flat horses are bred to race on firm ground FFS.
