Finally found a review of this monitor, there's no reviews out there. Thanks for the video.
I have a question, what is the Adobe RGB value out of the box?
And can we calibrate it to 100% Adobe RGB with a calibrator? Right now i can't afford to get a calibrator so I'll have to compromise with factory calibration.
Thanks for this. I just bought the P27u-10 4K. I just fried my BenQ PD2700U, but it has a very stable VESA stand-so it will be put to use! Might get the X-Rite i1, as calibrating the BenQ did yield a noticeable improvement (it was also factory calibrated). Clinical accuracy is always good. If the photos look good on a calibrated 145.7% sRGB monitor, they'll look good on any screen and in print-it's a very important part of digital photography that's oft overlooked.
Thanks for a to the point, detailed and very useful overview.
Hi. You are more than welcome. Thanks for the comment.
0:47 - these holes are for soundbar integration.
Excellent video! very informative. This monitor is very rarely reviewd but it is actually very good value at Rs. 29148 or $410
Thanks for the video, I really needed to find something that showed range of motion for the tilts and specifically the rotation to make it vertical. Even their user manual says it'll need to be tilted 30 degrees while vertical but your vid shows it doesn't.
Hi. You can tilt 30 degrees alright but it's not necessary. You can always purchase an inexpensive arm if your monitor has VESA mount and do as much of tilt as you want.
Hi. Does it support the accessory that docking station can be clipped to stand of monitor? I'm not sure if you saw that
Good review,
I had few questions,
1. Does the panel on buttons side, makes chirpy noise when touched, to me it looks kind of plastic ?
2. are there any gap (pin gaps on the screen and panel edges), ?
Can you give us your calibration parameters? I have de same monitor, thanks!
Thank you for the detailed review! I do have a question! The 3 USB ports on the side is the monitor...can these be used for the wireless/USB-Bluetooth keyboard and mouse? Instead of having to purchase a separate dock port?
Appreciate the help!
I use this screen with a Dell XPS 13 and my computer mouse is plugged into the screen, so yes it works.
@@ureswe Is the maximum power output from DisplayPort restricted to 45 W or can it go up to 65 W? I have a Dell laptop requiring 65 Watts of power so was wondering if this monitor would be able to handle it.
Thanks for the review.
Do you know if it's flicker free?
Awesome video, nice.
hi thank you alot for your vedio my question there is no internal speaker on the monitor right i have to connect external speaker or there is anyother way to work .
Thank you for the thorough review! I have one question though, I have a Dell laptop with USB-C Displayport, so I was wondering how much power output can this laptop provide? I couldn't find any info about this on the website as well. Is it 45 W or 65 W?
It's 45W
the specifications indicates that it is 75w
Thanks for the review, I have not seen this monitor tested anywhere; does the factory calibration report or your manual calibration specify the color accuracy delta E and delta C, gamma curve, White Point, sRGB color gamut, homogeneity etc?
Hi Harald Dienes. Only what you can see in the video shot at 1:04, sorry.
How do I use\connect speaker to this?
Hi, great review!
wondering if the calibration from the monitor would do a decent job for photo or video editing?
not for hardcore/professional.. More like for class projects or assignments.
Hi. Any monitor when calibrated is much much better for this type of work than stock. In my opinion this is a great monitor for this type of work on a budget.
Step higher would be BENQ PD series. They have one with 32" and 1440p. Without USB C but with built in KVM and some other nifty features.
@@Edsdrafts Hello. Tell please how many sRBG coverage in monitor sRGB stock preset?
I am having so much trouble calibrating this monitor for some reason. The sRGB profile locks the brightness and contrast menu and it doesnt let me change any settings! If I set it to custom I can't get any accurate color representation as well... I am annoyed that there is no backlight intensity option in the osd so the monitor is basically always at full brightness when in sRGB mode...
The fixed brightness is there for a reason, one rgb setting doesnt apply to all brightness increments
cool vid thumbs up bro❤️👍👍
Hi. Thanks a lot.
Hey, great review, thanks. What would you say about the extreme corners, they seem a little bit dark to me. How about backlight bleed / ips glow, do you have any further comments on those?
Corners are fine. Might look strange on video at an angle but looks fine using it. Backlight bleed is there along with uniformity differences but minimal. If you want them gone TN panel is your best bet. Or look for an OLED TV.
Ok, thanks a lot!
@@Edsdrafts Hi, is this monitor glossy? seems to be on the video at least, thanks!
@@darndarndarn Hi. It's definitely matte. Glossy would be mirror like reflecting most of the room, especially if you have lights on and dark scene or monitor is off.
@@Edsdrafts thanks sir! Great review!
Hi
It is good that the image quality
Lenovo monitor and your old Philips monitor
You were making a comparison.
The holes are for mounting a Lenovo sound bar
Thanks. I have never even heard of one and right before your comment I saw one somewhere on the shelve. I guess it's a thing.
Thank you!
sir please tell me is the usb are supported pen drive file access ? and if the usb connect to any smart phone is it can access the file?
and also tell me if phone is connect through type c cable is it accable the file of phone?
actually i have buy the product this month but usb are not working, only yellow usb port working as a charger. Please give me your kind answer .
Hi. Charging phone or tablet is always best to use supplied chargers instead of USB ports of PC, laptop or in this case monitor. You will on the other hand be able to access USB device data via USB ports of monitor once monitor is connected to PC via USB as well to enable these ports.
As for USB C functionality it is hard to tell and best to try out. Note when this monitor was released USB C was in its infancy. It still is really.
Hi, can this monitor be used to charge laptop?
Will this work with the new 2017 Macbook Pro with Radeon PRO 555? And will the USB C transfer both visual & charge the laptop at the same time?
Apple is an odd one in these things. It may or may not work. USB C is relatively new standard, best thing to do in case like this is to contact Lenovo and Apple for advise. Chances are you will hear back from Lenovo first.
The power may not be enough. You will must likely need to power your MacBook through it's charger instead of using the power from the monitor
The screen provides 30 watts of power through USB C.
Do you know if this monitor is a hardware calibrated monitor or a software calibrated monitor?
Hey grt video! Does this have inbuilt speaker?
Hi. I am not too sure at this point, sorry. It was a while back, there are better and cheaper monitors now I am sure. Speakers on monitor are a great plus for basic use.
Hey, this video is perfect! i am just wondering why the usb port on my monitor does not work?
Hi. Hard to say, have you tried connecting the USB hub via few PCs just to rule out PC issue?
did you connect with the usb-c cable to your desktop or laptop? i'm almost certain you have to use that cable for the usb to actually work
the usb ports will only work when you are connected via type c
Did you use the display port cable? I dont have a display port on my pc so I cannot connect my screen :o
You can use HDMI but if you don't have either maybe you have a DVI-D? You could get adapter from DVI-D to HDMI or DP.
is it good to use with ps4 and ps4 pro??
Thanks for the review. What was the scale factor on Windows in the video?
Hi. you're welcome. Just a standard 1:1, no scaling tricks.
What is the wattage on the usb-c ?
Hello, great video! I have one question: I am buying a "gaming" monitor and I was wondering how much Hz it has? Somewhere it sad its 75hz but maybe you know more. And is it good for gaming?
Thank you. This particular model is 60Hz. I didn't find any issues with this. If you plan go higher I would suggest over 100Hz. Obviously also make sure you have the GPU to drive your games at 100fps at least.
Eds drafts its 60 Hz but I've read it could be overclocked to 75 Hz. Source : (www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/6q67lw/lenovo_p24h10_monitor_review_top_notch_value_for/)
I will be testing it in a few days, because it's still stuck in the mail somewhere.
That's handy. I wouldn't use it on my own though unless I really need to. So far games, videos and any other content is perfectly fine on 60Hz for me.
For my next monitor I would like an affordable 1440p or 4k monitor at 100Hz or more and an IPS. You never know, maybe even OLED. Tech is moving fast, even this monitor was a dream 2 years ago.
matjaz rozec did you get it yet, and did it work?
unTamed I returned it, because I noticed interference with wireless mouse and keyboard receiver.
Do not use wireless peripherals with USB 3.0 docks (the same with usb-c docks) and no, I did not try to overclock it. Next time I'm gonna buy a new monitor, it will probably be this one again, because it was great. Just get wired or bluetooth devices.
Will this play my Xbox One X in 1440p through hmdi?? Are the HDMI ports 2.0?
Hi. Yes it will - mind you only at 1080p. As far as I'm aware XBox is not capable of using 1440p as well as PS4. So consoles will downgrade to 1080p.
Can this monitor be mounted on a wall with VESA mounts ?
yes it can
Yes it can. If you watch the video you will see the mount screws on the monitor.
Does this support PIP or Picture by Picture?
i have one but I don't know how to turn on the USB as there is no place
in the body of the screen for the USB type b , what is the solution?
USB hub on monitor is optional. You don't have to use USB type A to B cable.
Would this monitor charge a 13' Macbook Air and fully display image with USB-C if the macbook screen its retina 2560 x 1600?
did you find answer for this? i am looking for same answer
@@viralchopra917 I went for the p24h-10 and yes, it does charge my Macbook Air and it does display QHD with no problem.
whats the link to get this exact monitor
Would I be able to connect USB to ethernet dongle on the back and get wired internet?
This is a monitor, not a tv, nor is it a pc, it only shows things, the ethernet cable goes into your pc, and then, from your pc/laptop a standard like hdmi/displayport/usb type-c cable goes into your monitor to show the data your pc gives it. The monitor is not a pc. (Monitor pc's do exist and are popular, but this one isn't a pc and monitor all-in-one)
And I'm pretty sure the usb's on the back of the monitor work for keyboard/mice and only if the monitor is connected by usb-c(not sure about that)
can you overclock this monitor?
Have freesync?
Is it a 8 or 10 bits monitor ? impossible to find this information
I believe it is either 8 bits or 10-bit via software manipulation. Usually if they don't shout in the advertisement means it's 8-bit. Especially for the price.
Hey, nice video. I purchase this monitor for 175 USD it's ok for the price, can u put the calibration settings ? thanks
Hi. Unfortunately my calibration settings were stored on this PC that is long gone along with the monitor, sorry. Also, every panel is different so for the best result you need to do a full calibration.
Got this beauty for 130 euros, can you share your calibrated settings? Thanks.
Hi. Sorry but this was years ago, a lot has changed. I don't own any of the hardware in this video. Calibration is near impossible via settings, you need a colorimeter.
I know this monitor has a headphone jack. But does it have built in speakers?
Hi. I believe you can get speakers as an external option. Please check with Lenovo for details.
Please, check the speed of the USB hub. It should have USB3.0 ports according to Lenovo. I have this monitor, but the USB hub reaches only USB 2.0 throughput. :0( Manufactured date of my monitor: 11.2018
If there is a SS simbol next to the usb port, it's superspeed aka usb 3.1 gen 1 speed. USB has changed the naming scheme over 8 times now, and the usb 3.0 has become the usb 3.1 gen 0 or gen 1 I really can't remember, the naming is absolutely horrendous.... If it had SS, it has 5 GHz speed
Hello, thank you for reviewing this monitor. In my country i have the 24" version of this monitor for 250 EUR and i feel like its overpriced (its 2019 plus it is 24"). How much did you pay for this monitor? Also is this monitor still good for 2019? Thank you.
It's priced at 450 euro over here in Lithuania...
is it good to use with a gtx 1060?
It is usable with any GPU as long as it can display 1440p. It's one of these upgrades where until you use it you won't see reason but you won't go back afterwards either. I really like this monitor myself.
is there speakers in the monitor? No right?
Hi. That's right, no speakers in this monitor.
Hz?
Does it have speakers?
Hi there, Does it have an internal speaker?!! Please reply
No it does not but it does have an attachment mount ready for compatible one as per video.
Hey , Is this monitor can be wall mounted???
Yes sir. This one has 100mm VESA support.
Thinking about picking this up for about 200 USD refurbished on eBay. I would rather go with an Asus or benq based on reputation..but 200 is hard to beat for 27in 1440p ips..an Asus or benq with same specs and smaller screen is same price though. Asus 25in 1440p ips = 200.
ASUS unfortunately does not have good reputation for their monitors, they are simply cutting edge tech if you have the money. BENQ on the other hand seems to be reputable in both aspects although I never had one.
Lenovo monitors are well known in business and are bulletproof.
Does it support VESA mounts?
Hi. A quick online search shows yes - 100 x 100mm. Standard.
Hello Eds
Thanks for your review
I never tried to connect USB-C wire, before to use the lateral USB ports, hahaha.
I thought it wasn't work :-)
But, thanks to your video and it's comments I could enjoy it.
I think it's a good monitor
Regards
So, the monitor won't shake unless you get an earthquake! + That was funny!!!
pls I live in Chile there's earthquakes every single day 😭
@@creyesb viéndolo por qué estaba en oferta en Mercadolibre?
@@thebungisound810 qué tal será? Leí que eran refurbished pero no usados
@@thebungisound810 Oye lo compré y está excelente. Ningún detalle.
Maybe 6bit+FRC
I this 60hz or 144hz ?
Definitely 60Hz. Unless you are gaming or willing to spend good money on proper 144Hz monitor - stick to 60Hz for now.
60 Hz, but I was able to overclock it to 68, not a huge improvement, but it's something... above that the monitor would just simply say it doesn't support the signal :)
Can you daisy chain with usb c?
How many hz?
Hi. It's 60Hz.
@@Edsdrafts how about the OC? does it support at 75hz?
4.43 its for an soundbar thing
ahhh there is an earthquake again, should have went with a better not wobbling screen 🤣🤣
Slooooow... No follow-up review, unlike said.
Hi. Wasn't need for one. Monitor worked as advertised. Nothing to be excited or disappointed about - simply did it's job.
I simply upgraded to different one since and moved on.
If you are still considering getting one - this video is still valid. However, the models have changed so you should opt for current one.
Best of luck!
@@Edsdrafts which one did you get and why did you feel you need to upgrade from this one
@@RAiNfORAiNbOW I tend not to stick to one item for too long in general, especially if I can sell the old one without loosing too much or not loosing at all. I am on 32" BENQ curved right now but I will be going back to 32" non curved 1440p shortly.
@@Edsdrafts I bought a 24 inch and it's too big how the hell are you using 32 inch
@@RAiNfORAiNbOW 24 inches is really damn small, the hell you doing that makes a tiny monitor so large? The recommended distance between you and your monitor is ~a meter, or your arm's length, you shouldn't be able to touch the monitor if you reach out, and for me, my 27 inch is getting too small, starting to feel the need for a second monitor, instead of dividing the 27 inch into 4.
