In the song "Welcome Princess of Hell" you hear me singing to these spirits and powers and they sing back to me. They came to me to let me know they are here for me on my journey and that they are behind me and that they wish me good luck so I see them as my protectors almost like guardian angels. We all live several lives so that our powers/souls can grow in order to reach a higher plane and join with something greater. Our powers live in a human shell several times that will enable us to go on to a new life form a higher plane of being or join one day with a larger greater force. But 99 percent of the population live by the Satanic Philosophy whether they know it or not. As Anton LaVey even told me that Satanism is simply a life philosophy and NOT a religion. Satanism is living out your feelings and instincts without feeling it is a sin, enjoy yourself while you are here now while you can and have your own individual beliefs. One thing I consider almost mandatory though is believing there are powers around us. And you can use these powers to help yourself or those you care about. Or throw these powers at people in a negative way. I am not religious at all but you can say I am spiritual due to my experiences and beliefs. The Satanic bible is not really a bible because a bible is for religion so it should be called a book of philosophy instead. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. I don’t believe in the Christian devil. “Christianity has both God and the devil. I believe there is neither of these two. I believe in the powers of the unknown, which I have experienced many times. I know that rituals work. I don’t do them often because you can easily misuse them. They will get back at you if you don’t respect them. Rituals can channel the forces that surround us all the time but I respect the powers and will not abuse them in any way. The Satanic Bible is 70 percent Philosophy and 30 percent magic. Satan is the power of the universe. Satan to me is the Powers of Darkness, not a man with horns. Some people think Satanism is what the Christian church portrays it to be. Loved Mercyful Fate and King Diamond since the ‘80’s, the guy is so talented. Andy Laroque is one of the great metal guitarists around and he’s been with King since the 80’s too. Quality band and a genuinely nice, educated bloke. Rock On. 🤘
As a Norwegian its kinda funny to see that people compliments us Scandinavians in how well manered we are when its legit thats just how we all are raised honestly, also its good to see 2 kings have a lovely chat to eachother
I saw Mercyful Fate and Slayer in Portland in '84 (age 12). This was my first knowledge of Mercyful Fate. That gig changed my life. I was already a guitar player, and from that show I knew what my future had to be like. Several bands/albums later, I would run into King and Hank Sherman, Michael Denner, and Timmy G, over the years and have some great times/conversations. In 2010, while in Boise at a Volbeat/Hell Yeah gig, I look up on stage, and Hank is playing guitar with Volbeat...Makes sence. They needed a guitarist and they're all from Denmark, right? I could not believe it lol. After the show, Hank and I drank and talked for hours about Mercyful Fate and his experience in the states in '84 which was the first time he'd been here, and just happened to play my home town. It was/is one of the best candid conversations I've had with another musician, sharing experiences and stories in a "Pool o' Booze". I have several King stories from over the years that began in '84, and fortunately continue to this day. Random meetings in different states/countries where we both had no idea the other was currently in. I still have the huge Abigail concert poster from '87/'88 that King signed with his elaborate autograph wishing me and the band well. True/Genuine/Authentic gentleman he certainly is! Over the last couple of decades, I've landed in Arizona, and of course King is in Texas. However, a lot of metal's elite have homes here, and it's not uncommon to run into them, and to turn around and bump into King as well. Great memories, and more to come.
Tale of the 2 Kings 🤙 Diamond was ,and is still one of my favs voice + guitar ,and saw Slayer with testament. Both amazing bands. Broke several tapes form them both playing them so much.
King Diamond is a gem in its purest form. Great human being, classy as hell (pun intended), and the best voice ever in metal ... I've been listening to him since the mid-80's ... never stopped.
King Diamond has such cool creepy vocals, I love the new face paint alot too, along with the conspiracy face paint, Slayer is also pretty badass, definately a big influence on thrash metal.
I've met both of these guys and they are some of the coolest people on earth, especially King Diamond. When I met him he was the most polite, articulate and inviting person. He loves what he does. He appreciates the fans and will take all the time in the world to answer your questions. Seeing Slayer for the first time at The Big 4 concert with Anthrax, Megadeth and Metallica and that was a real treat and then a few years later seeing them up close and personal on Motorhead's Motorboat Cruise was even more amazing, but I remember seeing Mercyful Fate years before when In The Shadows was released. It was a small intimate crowd in a tiny venue. It was one of my favorite shows ever.
My Grandma took me to all My first concerts in order Average White Band, George thurgood, black sabbath, Pantera twice, Slayer, soulfly, and Ozzfest .. Love you Grandma lol

King!!! Thanks for this upload. I did see King Diamond in Gothenburg back in 2005 and it's my absolute favourite band since then. Such a legend, King Diamond!!!
King I just saw you @ the Orpheum Theatre I've seen you guys 10 times from Massachusetts , Rhode Island at the station and several shows in Florida. This last show was your best show yet! Thanks for keeping the old king and merciful fate material going. YOU ROCK!!!!!
love KD and Kerry King..... and today i am proudly wearing my Dont break the oath shirt to work.......no one has any idea what amazing music you guys play!.. thank you for all you guys do..
I remember the first King Diamond show I ever went to her came out to talk to the people in line to see him and sign autographs. he was totally cool and down to earth and a genuinely nice guy.
This is how I got into King Diamond and Mercyful Fate myself I saw a picture of him in a rock magazine and it blew my mind I had to hear him. I bought Fatal Portrait and was blown away. Then when I heard Melissa and Don't Break the Oath by Mercyful Fate that was it, I have been a fan ever since. There is supposedly a new cd coming from Mercyful Fate with at least four of the orginal members I know I cannot wait to hear it. Cool interviews. Stay heavy. \m/
I was at Replay Records in Stockton CA, 1995 when I found "Don't Break the Oath." I had never heard of Mercyful Fate before then but the album looked amazing. I checked the back and saw the ere black and white photos of the band, noticed they had two lead guitarists and just felt that I had found something special.
I'm 45 and just found them last year. So embarrassing that I missed them growing up. Now I'm - that guy - who cranks Mercyful Fate out of his Subaru Impreza in 2019.
I've recently discovered how good King's album "The Eye" is. From start to finish, once you get into the meaning and characters of the songs, the magnificent music makes these songs all the more emotionally moving.
+Jeremy Nelson I saw them a couple months ago also. Overkill is a band I have to see every time they come to town, just can't get enough of those guys.
First time i seen King Diamond live it was so awesome. It was not only music but they told a story and had a stage setup (the mansion) and they had a theatre going on while they were playing. It was such a great experience.
I saw King Diamond at Tuxedo Junction in Connecticut, back in the mid 90's. I was right up at the stage! He reached out and shook my hand multiple times! Abigail is one of my favorite albums of all time. If I was only able to listen to one album for the rest of my life, it would be Abigail, hands down! I would love to get that chance with Slayer!
In '98 Easter night 🌙 he played in Austin TX....I was front row headbanging ....I had the conspiracy cd cover in my hand hoping to get him to sign it......but he reached out and grabbed it wiped his makeup on it and gave it back...still have it....
I saw king Diamond with Flotsam and Jetsam plus Cathedral and it was the best ever..... It's been years since it was back in the 90's and I will never forget those precious moments of my life.
I didnt see Slayer live till South of Heaven. I just couldnt bring myself to listen to Black Metal. A friend told me you have to see these guys. So I went and was immediately blown away. Still to this day they are the best band I have ever heard Live! Just incredible.
I remember buying Them on cassette after i saw the video for Welcome Home on the Headbanger's Ball. I've been a KD fan ever since. He's the best imo. \m/
I was amazed that barely half of the amphitheater was full. My fiancée at the time and I had mid-level 2nd tier tickets, but they just let us have full range of the GA-Floor. We ended up right in front.🤘
I saw King Diamond at Hellfest 2022 for the first time, he was so nice to everyone, after the show he showed that he was really happy and grateful to see all that people that are came for him. I was super happy to tell me that we can give him a bit that he gave us.
I had a chance encounter with Kerry King at a bar in Chicago. They were playing in town. He was just a totally down to earth normal dude. I said hi, shook his hand, had a few words with him and then he got into his taxi and left. My brush with greatness :)
¡Absolutely! The Show in LA was also amazing of course. King played a very complete set. I was so enthused and excited while watching the show that I wasn't even aware of the time passing. Seeing the King once definitely isn't enough. I hope to catch him again on the next go around.
Great interview. I have literally NEVER seen another artist as gracious and humble as King. This is coming from a true practicing Christian as well! That's true man, back then musicians actually cared about the cover art.
+Toxic Agnostic I was like that with Abigail.
+hammerhorde yeah, dude that's a great album!
+Toxic Agnostic I saw the video for Family ghost in 1987 & was what the hell is this?when Them came out in1988 I saw the video for welcome home & Loved the song so I bought the tape. Toxic - think this & Atrophy - violent by nature I bought without hearing any of the music.
Loved Mercyful Fate and King Diamond since the ‘80’s, the guy is so talented. Andy Laroque is one of the great metal guitarists around and he’s been with King since the 80’s too. Quality band and a genuinely nice, educated bloke. Rock On. 🤘
I only watched this for King Diamond!!!
Shawn Thomas me too
Shawn Thomas long live the King,,,,,,
Gil Hernandez long live the king diamond albums, i presume?
So what?
Do you hate zlayer man??
King Diamond is such a cool dude, down to earth. Kerry King was humbled in his presence.
Humbled?
@@GiosGoreGrotto He can be very, bombastic and annoying, but King made him calm down
@@leningreider3258 bombastic? Calmed down?
As a Norwegian its kinda funny to see that people compliments us Scandinavians in how well manered we are when its legit thats just how we all are raised honestly, also its good to see 2 kings have a lovely chat to eachother
South of Heven & Melissa are hands down 2 songs that got played over & over & over again in my room as a kid. LEGENDS!!!!!
Overplayed everywhere and not a good thing.
That was so freaking awesome! Glad I came across this. Such great people and LOVE both of their music.
So Nice to hear the King!!! Chatting with the King!!
When you hear KD speaking you'd never imagine he could sing like he does - even after all his health issues!
Tale of the 2 Kings 🤙 Diamond was ,and is still one of my favs voice + guitar ,and saw Slayer with testament. Both amazing bands. Broke several tapes form them both playing them so much.
This is too cool. The clip should have been at least 20 minutes. But awesome anyway
King Diamond is a gem in its purest form. Great human being, classy as hell (pun intended), and the best voice ever in metal ... I've been listening to
him since the mid-80's ... never stopped.
King Diamond has such cool creepy vocals, I love the new face paint alot too, along with the conspiracy face paint, Slayer is also pretty badass, definately a big influence on thrash metal.
Slayer is one of the pioneers of thrash!
@@ApproachingHoofbeats Slayer is more a pioneer of death metal and black metal
He's Supposed To Have Creepy Vocals...He's King Diamond...Not That Bloody Waste Of Space Johnny Nobody Justin Bieber!...

I was at the heavy sound festival 1984 in Belgium - It was a great show !
I'm honestly shocked at how well-mannered & chill King Diamond is. He seems very soft-spoken, but damn can he make some badass music 🤘
Loved listening to these legends. King Diamond is such a classy guy - so humble and positive.
I’m so glad I was able to see them both on the very last Mayhem show in Dallas. 🤘🏼
My Grandma took me to all My first concerts in order Average White Band, George thurgood, black sabbath, Pantera twice, Slayer, soulfly, and Ozzfest .. Love you Grandma lol

King Diamond such a gentleman xD
Yeah because he's European
Kerry King must've been thrilled sitting next to metal royalty like this.
I rolled the dice on Dont Break The Oath back in 1984.The album cover appealed to me and hoping it rocked. My luck was on my side because when i first dropped the needle i was hooked...Mercyful Fate became my Fav Band .Still today i buy anything from King Diamond and MercyfulFate.
King Diamond is just awesome He deserves at least over a 100 Grammy Awards 👍
I like King Diamond. Seems to be very humble and just a cool dude.
King diamond conspiracy is my favourite album, still my favourite album, long live the king!!!
It's great to see two legendary musicians being a fan of each other
King diamond sounds so fancy and polite. and he`s accent is glorious.
Kerry King and King Diamond, two kings of Metal \m/
King diamond is a fucking legend, there will never be another king ever
King!!! Thanks for this upload. I did see King Diamond in Gothenburg back in 2005 and it's my absolute favourite band since then. Such a legend, King Diamond!!!
Seen King Diamond in 86? FATAL PORTRAIT, LA MOURES, BKLYN...
King I just saw you @ the Orpheum Theatre I've seen you guys 10 times from Massachusetts , Rhode Island at the station and several shows in Florida. This last show was your best show yet! Thanks for keeping the old king and merciful fate material going. YOU ROCK!!!!!
Kerry King Diamond...
love KD and Kerry King..... and today i am proudly wearing my Dont break the oath shirt to work.......no one has any idea what amazing music you guys play!.. thank you for all you guys do..
King Diamond you are a musical genius!
Pretty awesome how Carrie King used to play double nih-grr in his high school band Goose Flute.
Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman signed my school ID and my friend's bus pass.
I would like to thank them both for helping me stay alive.
My first concert was Overkill, Motorhead, and SLAYER!!!-South of Heaven tour!
+SKONJIE That's awesome! Mine was Children of Bodom, Lamb of God and SLAYER!
Drew Hoffman
right on!, that's had to be a good show as well!
saw Overkill a month ago, they still got it. I got to meet Bobby Blitz too.
+Jeremy Nelson I saw them a couple months ago also. Overkill is a band I have to see every time they come to town, just can't get enough of those guys.
Jeremy Nelson- I met Bobby and Dave. Very cool guys. Dave gave me one of his Coors lights and I still have the bottle.
First time i seen King Diamond live it was so awesome. It was not only music but they told a story and had a stage setup (the mansion) and they had a theatre going on while they were playing. It was such a great experience.
can't wait any longer. king diamond on Halloween night? couldn't asked for a better Halloween
2 legends together. Simply amazing
i live in iran & i love king diamond, sure slayer is my favorite band, hail banger heads from here \m/.
Mr. Kim Bendix Petersen... Without Words... Always Awesome.... Talking or Singing... Brutal..
Ohhh Abigail!
My favourite guitarist and my favourite singer, side by side!! Awesome, metal gods!!!!
I saw king Diamond with Flotsam and Jetsam plus Cathedral and it was the best ever..... It's been years since it was back in the 90's and I will never forget those precious moments of my life.
awesomeness of epic proportions
Indeed Heavy Sound Festival Belgium, first Slayer appearance in Europe....was there and it was awesome!
Now we know who Papa Emeritus really is, King Diamond. I recognize the voice (kidding).
That's why King Diamond 💎 is relevant today and "fuckin SLAYERRRRR"
Fucking legends! A lot of respect for both of them
I've met King a few times. Always professional and a top notch guy. As long as his schedule allows, he will meet his fans.
King and Kerry...what a killer kombo.
Saw both of them in Atlanta. Awesome show all around and King was incredible. He sounds just as good as he does on his records.
I was amazed that barely half of the amphitheater was full. My fiancée at the time and I had mid-level 2nd tier tickets, but they just let us have full range of the GA-Floor. We ended up right in front.🤘
Love those guys! Especially the King.
totally unique and admired by ppl over the world these two aint lol but i love them both and their music still remains in my life after 40yrs .
The King is uber classy.
King diamond is a fucking legend

King Diamond IS metal. Even better is that he is simply a great guy!
King is so freaking cool!
I could listen to King Diamond talk all day..he has ASMR qualities
Wow! Awesome! I could listen to them talk about this shit all day. Very big, old fan of King and Slayer, goes back to the 80s!
4:30 OH MY GOD !!! Hahahaahahahhahahahhah
I saw King Diamond at Hellfest 2022 for the first time, he was so nice to everyone, after the show he showed that he was really happy and grateful to see all that people that are came for him. I was super happy to tell me that we can give him a bit that he gave us.
Seen em both live. Slayer a shitload in Chicago venues. Mercyful Fate on the 9 tour. Fucking awesome.
I had a chance encounter with Kerry King at a bar in Chicago. They were playing in town. He was just a totally down to earth normal dude. I said hi, shook his hand, had a few words with him and then he got into his taxi and left. My brush with greatness :)
Five more days, that's it! King in LA........! I'm psyched!
+Lunatic4Bizcas me tooooo. see you there brotha gonna fuck shit up !!!
"follow meeeeeeeee" can't fuckin wait!!!!
I'm going to both shows in LA man...
+Lunatic4Bizcas Yeah they just played here in New Orleans on 11/15. They were with Exodus, and it was a killer show!
I have been a KD/MF fate for decades and finally got to see them live for the first time last year. He was a true gentleman appreciating his fans throughout the whole show. Every bootleg DVD or live recording is the same way.
