- I review the 797 HP Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye and revel in the wonderfully hilarious excess of having nearly 800 HP in a rear wheel drive 4-door sedan. It's the epitome of this 21st century golden age of muscle that we're living in. While it doesn't come cheap ($80,090 starting including destination) and some German competitors may accelerate faster thanks to their all-wheel drive setups and have more luxurious interiors, none of them can match the Charger's loud supercharger whine, V8 roar or its boatloads of wheelspin. The Redeye Charger is truly a car that'll go down as being a legendary high-water mark in Mopar history. What do you think of the Charger Redeye? The sound is so good. Best supercharger sound in the world IMO.
Yes, I got spoiled my it, had 17' Hellcat challenger 6 speed manual, for 3 years, both SC and exhaust note together were a symphony, never had so many necks snapping to look when I would creep up beside while driving then stomp on it ripping that sound off.. been 1 year since sold, it gave me my thrills, like that crazy girl that keeps you happy...but wouldn't marry. Drive many $100k+ cars..none of them made me smile like Hellcat. Back to that girl...miss her at times...but wouldn't want her back, for now.
F-Types are exquisite exotics with a feline harmony that is 10x louder and sounds infintely more gorgeous, they DEVASTATE this cheap rubberband POS sound and are twice as fast.

A F-Type is 142 bBA, a Demon is 112 dBA. +30bDA is 1,000x more sound energy. But its the ultra exotic feline roar vs schoolbus/UPS truck brash sorta childishness thats the difference. What you've heard on youtube doesn't capture the melody of the jag because the dBA level saturates the mic. huge, INSANE dodge fan. I personally have a 2019 challenger rt as a first car, bright red. And i did not expect to get that many looks its so nice. Blessing to have it as my first car. Dream car is the charger redeye SOOOO lucky

Unlike it’s german competitors the redeye will actually hold it’s value and be more reliable
It’s got a German chassis and a German transmission
I’ve owned a ‘18 scatpack for 4 months. Threw it away and bought a BMW M5. Best car decision I’ve made ever. Hellcats are nice, but after a few years they’re nothing but junk.

The Charger and Challengers got really reliable, one friend got a 15' srt392 with abt 20k miles and its doing a great job, same with the Hellcat Challenger. Awesome cars, if you're not only looking for track Performance.
Pls dont forget, they are kinda expensive on every day usage, not the gas, its about the Parts. Not that easy to get here......

I still have fond memories of my 1970 Dodge Charger 383 Magnum with the Hurst Pistol Grip shifter. Went through a lot of tires and often seemed to burn out the points (yes it had a distributor with points that needed to be set). But I was able to chirp the tires as I went through all four gears! To me the car was awesome.

You know,it's never too late to relive your youth. Sure,this Charger is $90,000+ and a four-door sedan,but it's still a kick-ass experience that you can share with your friends and family.

Good review. My 2021 Hellcat Redeye is on order. I traded in my 2017 Hellcat for this upgrade. I probably will get it in at end of December. The color I chose was Octane Red like my 17. That color just pops in the sunlight. Again, good video. I just can’t wait to dominate once again.

Hi Matt, i have a few questions. I wanted to know since you did a review of both the charger here and the challenger, which one did you enjoy the most and why? I also wanted to know, based on your own experience, which model had the best handling? and the best handling at fast speeds? I also wanted to know if the charger red eye has a moon roof option? And lastly, i wanted to know about the sound system? Are the stock sound systems in both cars the same? and how is the sound system in the red eye? ( not in terms of volume, but QUALITY OF SOUNDS ) Im sure you are busy, but if you can find some time to let me know? i appreciate it. ( i also wanted to suggest that you include sound system reviews when you do these reviews, because alot of people enjoy having quality stereo music while driving. And for 75,000 there better be a reallllllllllllllllllllly high quality sound system included. And an additional suggestion to spend some more time on reviewing the handling and suspension experiences of the cars you review ) Thank you...

my old man just picked one of these up a couple weeks ago. Had me take it for a spin and I have not felt anything like it in a sedan let alone a car lol. The sound of that super charger whine is awesome, but the feel of all that power and how responsive it is was out of this world. My ss camaro feels like such a toy compared to this absolute animal

I love my new redeye charger it’s on another level that’s forsure..... do the redeyes have different dashes ? It seems like mine is lighter than the carbon fiber package that I’ve seen on my buddy’s 2020 hellcat Charger

I still think the reaction to the acceleration on the Accord Coupe 6-6 was his best.....most likely because his expectations were fairly low...and the 13-17 Accord 6-6 never disappoints.
