Wow, give this guy a round of applause. I have been wanting to do a TB48DE engine swap ever since I was born. I have a 1984 Datsun 300ZX, that I want to swap that Engine in Soo bad. For a very long time, even to this day, I have been having a hard time Locating the TB48DE engine. Getting this Engine into my Z31 has been one of the biggest Goals in my life, and, I will not fail. you can find a TB48DE in the middle east relatively easily and china had made international shipping cheap and fast. but both a tb48 in good condition and parts for it are both extremely hard to come by and comes with a hefty price tag. you see motors with 300k + km that go for 3.5k and that crazy. but it also shows the reliability of a TB48. a bolt on intake, exhaust and tune can go for around 2.5k.
I've got my mindset on installing a TB48 into an R34 GTR. I just finished intalling an RB30 into my R33 GTR Vspec but this would blow that out of the water. I was hoping that you would have made some progress but you haven't posted anything since this video. I will be selling my 20 FD RX7 and RB30 R33 GTR Vspec to start this build. If anyone is interested let me know.

Can confirm that they are strong good engines, my 48 is in a patrol and currently making 530hp at the wheels with a standard motor, and a borg Warner s300 frame turbo 👍

Im from DC...i was stationed over DUBAI eons ago when i discovered this engine. People have no idea about it here. The Patrol was banned fom the USA years ago. Story is interesting. Depending on your pockets $$$ you can get 2000-2500 out of that engine. You will be terrified when you experience the torque. I had a few 2jz and i put them 2nd behind theze monsters. I was just looking at my boxes of engine goodies in the garage. What are your plans? Drift, Street, Drag race track?

the RB once crossed my mind for the swap on my wagon, it was at a good price but I ended up going NA, I want to build a 240 Volvo + UZ though lol but that will have to wait, my restomod Datsun have drained all my funds lol
I would be happy enough just to leave it sitting in there on the jackstands, dummy fit a huge turbo to it, and just drink coffee and stare at it. No need to get it to run 😂
