When Mike said he was going to choose his best character I knew Sagat was coming out, but part of me wanted him to fake everyone out by choosing Makoto so I could hear him say one last time "Yo check out how sick my Makoto is!".
Personally, I was hoping for Hugo.

The thing is, outside of bad performances on the excellent adventures, his Makoto WAS sick. When he would live stream on his personal twitch channel back in the day, he would put you in a blender and never let you leave.

I dont know that i missed SFIV so much , this game + mike ross is a match made in heaven
As someone who was very ready for SFIV to be done by the end of its life cycle, this was still hype as heck and had me grinning along the whole time. Mike and Xian's chemistry is great.

Compared to SFV, this is way more fun to watch. We were all just so tired of SFIV by the time it was done and were excited to see what Capcom was going to do in V.

I'm coming to realize something about watching SFIV that I've become weirdly nostalgic for it. Mike and Xian playing it definitely helps though, cause it's that kind of energy that I've really missed with it too.
This was a great send off for arguably the best competitive Street Fighter games, by two of the most entertaining players!
I was hit by nostalgia and though : let me go check on miek russ ans see what hes up to.
And what i got was Xian and Mike playing sf4 and having fun like the good old days, thanks to eveyone who was involved in making the video!

Love this episode. Ever since health problems occurred I have massive amnesia and dissociation, and can't remember stuff in my life. But watching this stuff jogged my memories of a better more healthy time. Everything they referenced was a small spike in memory from better times, from Daigo 5-0, to Xian winning EVO, to Woshige popping off prematurely.

@@veganwaffle Common opinion is that he didn't like SFV. He played it in the beginning but disappeared for awhile with his sporadic fighting game appearances being completely unrelated to SFV(Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue Versus)
He played Laura in sfv.. he always gives new games a chance. Time will tell if sf6 is good or not

It's lovely to see again you playing with Gen! I remember in 2013 when i watched the Evo stream as a teenager, here from Recife-Brazil; awaiting the victory for one of my favorite characters. Even in Alpha 3 you should try him, he's also much versatile and strong there. Sometimes we got those gifts on seeing top players returning to old games, as Daigo is doing in Alpha 3 at May 20, for example. 👏
