Yeah the Prowler Suit and Bodega are my Top 2 favorites(Spiderverse is 3rd for those who are wondering), and a detail I absolutely love is how the eyes on the Prowler mask are more narrowed than the rest of the suits
I agree with this video. Considering that Peter had almost 60 years of outfits to pull from, they don’t have to try as hard with their original suits; However, with miles, he only had 9 years of suits to pull from, making it much harder to have an expansive suit catalog. Despite these drawbacks, they managed to pull through and make amazing suits.
My only problem is that they missed the only major redesign in Miles’ suit roster

The bodega cat suit is my favorite. It has such a casual and friendly look! What mostly got me hooked to this game was the animations and sheer amount of them. There’s like 16 different air tricks. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve done a photo op with the suit, or at least on 2 hands.
I liked it as well, I just wish the backpack had a toggle, or swap onto other suits.
The suit itself with the hoodie is my favorite look for miles

The 2099 suit was based on the character sheet used for the variant cover. That's how they were able to get the full scope of the design
If you think about it, Insomniac didn't need to give him an upgraded suit like Peters because Miles is still young in the Spider-Man business. Miles just got his classic suit, and Pete outgrew his. Maybe we'll see Miles get an upgraded suit near the end of the second game, or if the games continue afterwards, in one of those.

The Bodega suit is probably my favorite. I just love designs that have normal clothing worn on top of the Spidey suits. (Also the cat adds some extra points)

Fr, what people need to understand is that these are subjective things and we r different and unique in our own WAY. We have our own belief and opinion. Eg The movie sucks, it might not suck for the other dude and that means alot to him/her
Miles still has some really DOPE alt suits in the comics.
One of my favorite designs is actually the redesign of his Classic Suit. I like the front Logo that has more square shaped lenses that I actually think is designed by the SAME person who designed the TRACK suit. Looks like something an older miles would where like College Miles

The TRACK Suit is one of my favorite suits as well, I get the feeling that Miles' Post-Clone Saga suit (Yes Marvel put Miles through his very own Clone Saga) from the comics is going to be included as an alternate suit for him in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
It better be and they better get the colors right and make it pinkish not just bright red or something

@@TheFocus05 Honestly in my opinion it was more nuanced due to the fact that Miles AND his clones were tortured by The Assessor; the guy who is behind The Beyond Corporation. It could've been better if it was longer and given more time to be fleshed out. But it was pretty short due to the fact that the issues were a very quick read.
@@windghost2also in my opinion Silem is a much more successful villain than either Kaine or Spidercide, the former needed to be reworked into an antihero to be a good character (I like Kaine I just think he worked poorly as a villain) and the latter has just been ignored

Other than that, Selim was a good villain. I do wish somethings did come up during his 1v1 with Miles though and what I mean by that is Selim explaining to Miles why he's the way he is.
In short, I wanted him to tell Miles that he embraced the inner darkness that Miles has inside of himself, that he became the same kind of man that Aaron was, back in the Ultimate Universe of course, simply because he didn't care to be good because of what the Assessor did to him and his brothers.

Is it weird that the Crimson Cowl suit literally makes me think of what would probably happen if Spider-Man joined the Assassins from Assassin's Creed? Also the Purple Reign suit I could see in a What If... Story where Miles is mentored by the Prowler instead of Spider-Man.
I'd love to see both of those ideas in a what if story. But written by someone who wouldn't use racist stereotypes.

I think both have diffrent built suits so in some cases miles looks better and some look better on peter. Like for example the prowler suit would look goofy on peter but the fantastic four suit (black and white one) would look goofy on miles and so on..
That I disagree the black and white fantastic four suit would look good on miles that a very basic cool looking suit
I think the Advanced Tech Suit was supposed to be like an Anti-Ock suit but for the Tinkerer in the story but they scrapped it because where would Miles get the materials to make such a suit? Unlike Peter building his Anti-Ock suit in a professional lab environment with all sorts of gizmos and resources.
Miles would get the materials from the 50 or so memory material boxes he pretty much raids the entire game.
Something I noticed while playing on New game plus: in the final part where Miles hits the ground before absorbing the main nuform reactor I was wearing the Bodega cat suit. The cat disappeared along with the backpack, and in the suit menu there was a dark stain on the Hoodie. Ummmmmmmmmm, well that games dark.
The Uptown Pride suit and TRACK suit are my two favorites. The only issue I have with the TRACK suit is the lack of webbing on the top black parts of the suit. I think the subtle webbing being changed to be regular webbing would really complete the suit
Something I can't help but notice is the consistency of triangles on a lot of the suits. The red of the classic suit has it, the webshooters on the 2099 suit has it, the advanced tech suit has the eyes, and that one suit that's completely triangles.
(Also the Advanced Tech suit is my favorite.)
I love the STRIKE Suit and the Arachknight suit for some simple reasons, they were inspired by Kamen Rider and if they're not that bad looking and people just like to rag on them because they're so different.
My favorite suit in the game is Uptown Pride. I would’ve preferred the yellow to be more gold but the fact that the suit was given to him by the neighborhood really makes it for me. I personally like color swaps when done right and they nailed it here.
This was a great suit list in this for game, I like how they took advantage of Miles’s short costume wardrobe and invented their own original suits to add the ones that he wore throughout the comics that are available in the game.
But HOW DARE YOU NOT talk about the amazing 2020 suit?! It is my favorite suit in the entire game it’s design, the whole concept behind it is genius! I even own a funko of this suit which proves how much I love it.

I really love the uptown pride suit, I think it reminds me of the batman beyond suit concept art where it was yellow. also, I really wish they used that greenish yellow on the anti ock suit from the last game
My favorite suit in this game, excluding the Spider-Verse suit as that would be too easy, is the 2099 suit. It’s the one I used the most while playing thru the game. I honestly don’t have a least favorite suit in this game and I wanna applaud Insomniac for coming up for a lot of original suits in this game. I hope we get some of these suits back in the sequel!

Also you should totally check out the Champions suit(which isn't officially in the game but was recovered from the game files), it's one of the coolest suits in the game imo and would love to get your thoughts on that as well
Majority of these costumes perfectly encapsulate the exaggerated swagger of a black teen
1. Like with the purple reign suit, Crimson Cowl is a pre-existing Marvel character.
2. Did you know that the uptown pride suit was made for BLM? Speaking of which, though, a lot of people forget that Spider Punk is black, so I sometimes think Spider Punk should have been one of Miles' suits.
3. The advanced tech suit rather reminds me of Peter's classic iron spider.
4. My favorite suit is the 2020 suit, because there is a lot to think about regarding how its mask is interacted with, as all the other suits have cloth masks.
Say what you want about Crimson Cowl, personally I think it's really neat(although the mask should've been unique to the suit)
Also I do think objectively that the Programmable Matter suit is the best, but I respect your take on the suit
Maybe some unique lenses instead of the default one's would've made it stand out more
The hooded red suit is so badass, so is the white and red one and the spider verse suit and animatics are great
I really like the Dave Raposa skin, feels like it's the secondary rider to the Arachnid Rider skin from the first game. Has a lot of that 70s toku vibes with detailing to make it feel modern.

Listen we all have and share different opinions on many things. That is what makes this world interesting. Some people like PS4 suits better than Miles. Some people like Miles suits more than Peters. Not everyone is going to have the same opinion. And that's perfectly fine. BUT there is one thing that we can all agree on.

He has better original designs overall but there are some great comic designs weirdly missing and it’s weird that nothing was added to the game post release like with the original game. I love the programmable matter suit it’s my favorite in the game after purple reign

Personally I would have liked if miles incorporated a hood in his original design. Because, that was kind of his whole thing trying to find his own way of being spiderman.
The strike suit is another homage to Kamen rider like the arachnid rider suit from the first game. Specifically it's based off of the suits from the remake movies kamen rider the first and kamen rider the next

Yeah I was kinda disappointed in the Arkham knight suit, I wish It at least made the suit black and the emblem gold, instead of just the emblem because it just changed one part of the suit, and seeing how you usually see Batman from the back, you don’t even see the emblem.

the best thing about the crimson cowel suit is that while playing the game with my dad, I accidentally called it the Simon Cowel suit
I looked away for 10 seconds, looked back and saw Miles wearing a Cybertruck.
Personally, I always though the T.R.A.C.K. Suit was always a bit too white. Also, they tried really hard to make the arms and the legs look similar, but they didn’t give him boots. It’s an odd choice.
What’s interesting to me is that you didn’t call out the one thing I think the Programmable Matter suit fails with: color. With the purple reign suit, it stays purple to reference Prowler. If this is supposed to reference Tinkerer, why doesn’t it do the same? It ends up feeling more like a crappy PS1 take on Miles rather than a suit that would be based on Underground tech, which is always that nice shade of purple.
Ironically, the crimson cowl suit kinda screwed itself over by being so red. It feels kinda lopsided and rough in terms of how the Color is balanced, and if that was the point, maybe it was a bad point to start with. I don’t know, Miles should pretty much only ever have black as his primary color unless the suit is referencing something else.
The Bodega Cat Suit is interesting to me. On one hand, I love the finishers and the base design of the suit. On the other hand, the cat makes this awesome suit look worse. Like I’ve always wanted that suit without the bag and cat, and even better, I’ve wanted to see what the suit underneath would look like. From what we can see of the suit that isn’t covered by clothing, it’s a completely different take on the classic suit, and my brain is itching to see the rest.
2099 is one of the best suits in the game. I don’t know if the person that did that cover had a reference sheet for them or not, but if they didn’t, Insomniac KILLED IT.
Purple Reign is also incredible. That “Miles with a Prowler design” idea has always been awesome to me, so seeing someone actually expand on it is great!
The Advanced Tech suit is one of my personal favorites of the bunch, and the only flaw I really have with the suit is the same as one of yours, the lenses. If they were red, it would be a bit better, but I like how it looks to begin with so it doesn’t bother me as much. I’ve always seen it as this interesting mash-up of the Iron Spider, the Purple Reign suit, and Miles’s classic look, while still feeling like a fresh design.

After going back to your old video to compare the original costumes from the first game, I think that you're right in the that mean standard of quality for Miles is a little higher than in the original game. I think the reason for that being that, because Peter has such a deep closed of alternate costumes to pull from, they felt like they needed to redesign Peter's classic suit to differentiate their version, which gave us the Advanced suit. That, and their other original designs had to be different enough to make them distinct from other comic-original costumes, which gave us stuff like Spider-KamenRider. I would say that, while I'm not a huge fan of Miles original suits (I think he looks silly with the hoods they give him in this game), the "classic" suit he has plus the godsend that is the TRACK suit keep the average slightly above what Peter gets.

I think the added yellow that fan name suits feature is a reference to Jessica Drew's classic Spider-woman costume. I admit, I've wanted to try my hand at making a male Spider-man costume based on classic Spider-woman. After all, the black costume was based on Spider-woman II's costume (Peter asked the "alien-machine" in Secret Wars to make a costume like Spider-woman's since he thought it looked cool).
While playing Spider-Man 2 I saw the soles of one of Miles’ suits and said “Man Kai would love this”
