    Being compassionate and grateful to the ego for all it has done to protect someone until this point is so important. Thank you, Ben, for reframing a “battle with the ego” into a compassionate and grateful transition.

    That is a very nice advice. Do it compassionately...tell the ego that I want to grow beyond this. Thankyou for bringing me this far.

    I’m applying this to excercise, where I stop because of boredom. This greatly helps. Thank you!

    Thanks Ben, wonderful advice as always. I also like the Taoism concept ‘Wu wei’, translated as "non-doing" or "effortless action," a state where one effortlessly aligns with the natural flow of the universe, achieving harmony and effectiveness without forceful action.

    The Japanese word is Mu-Shin. 無心。 It means "no mind" basically. :)

    Hi Ben, there are times that I fall asleep while chanting mantras while meditating - any advise on this. My mouth chants, breathing is steady while I go literally still.
    Millions of thanks!

    I’m curious why sometimes I become nauseous when my brain starts to drift. Even if I’m not intentionally trying to meditate. I have been sitting on my couch and feeling very calm so I just close my eyes and my brain feels like it shifts! I feel my brain seem to become lighter if this makes sense? And I become nauseous. I’ve seen colors my very first time meditating, then after well, I’m here watching this current video lol I am curious on the nausea when my brain feels like it shifts and becomes lighter? I hope this makes sense and I look forward to browsing your videos! Just subscribed to your channel :)

    U can meditate in sports it puts you into mushin, the position of the body don't mean anything its all state of mind

    • @bensmithreal
      @bensmithreal  3 месяца назад

      You can get into Mushin, but that is the starting point from which meditation can actually begin - this is where the limit is with sports, as apposed to a formal meditation

    I’ve a question
    my eyes always want to open when I meditate.
    And I’m always fighting my eyes slowly opening
    What is that all about

      You can try the half-lit gaze

      Thank you for sharing your wisdom ! I feel that I have trouble going past the ego, what is beyond the ego? Have a nice day!

    • @bensmithreal
      @bensmithreal  3 месяца назад +2

      It’s almost certainly a creation of the ego, but obviously it’s difficult to say for 100%. It’s pretty incredible how it can manifest so strongly in the body!
      As someone mentioned above, you can try a half-lit gaze or you can actually try a full open eye style of meditation such as ‘Trataka’.
      It may just be a case of persevering and not giving the eye movements too much attention.

      @@bensmithreal my intuition definitely confirm it’s my ego. I’ve battled my ego for over a year along my spiritual Journey and is manifested in a manner which is trying to prevent me letting go.
      The eyes open had just recently manifested as I’ve started to see colours, entities, and the strangest one
      Realising the 2 voices in my head
      One is my own and the other has been my higher self, guide or downloads I’ve been receiving which I’ve mistaken for my inner chatter and ignoring.
