Newbie questions... 1. Before panel lining or weathering... Its better to topcoat its first ? 2. Which topcoat to use for panel lining n finish topcoat ? 3. While panel lining... Better wait its dry or immediately clean with thinner ?
1. better to topcoat clear/gloss for smooth panel lining, while for weathering use of flat/matt or semi gloss topcoat 2. panel lining use clear gloss, for finish based on your preference, mostly people go with matt/flat 3. better to let it dry a while first then clean after
What type of outlet does your airbrush have? I use a 3 ml one and how do I see that when you put the paint on, it shoots a lot, what type of airbrush do you use?
And one doubt, I normally use acrylic paints, I let them dry for a while and when I want to join them the paint falls off due to the pressure that is generated when trying to assemble the model, any recommendations although I am thinking of buying mr color because in my country I had to get acrylics in water-based, but I don't know how that type of painting works, is it painting, letting it dry for several days? and then put the panel line and use zippo? since once I tried to use it but it took the paint I don't know if the same thing happens with mr color
lacquer is the strongest paint type for hobby use, for mr color normally (for opaque main colour) will just need only few hours to cured (can make it faster by using hairdryer). As for panel line, mr color is lacquer type, (which the strongest) enamel based or acrylic based solvent have no effect on the lacquer surface whatsoever.
@@GundamStore What do you use to spray over your paint to keep the lighter fluid or alcohol from eating your paint off? I use a Vallejo varnish but when I used alcohol to wipe off the extra it ate my paint away. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Also what brand panel liner is that? New to painting and Gundams in general. Thanks for the help.
we using lacquer based paint, since lacquer is the strongest type of paint for airbrushing ,in our case is mr color, usually before panel lining or decal, we clear coated gloss finish on the parts first, and for the panel liner brand, its qw brand, and its acrylic based,
