I don't think I ever had an issue with just hitting the power button, I returned it already so I can't try to mimic your situation. Why do you ever need to turn it off?
The glossy coating is actually very important for getting a good picture on an a display. It's to the point where many people actually buff the anti glare matte coating off of monitors that come with the matte finish. It does reflect light more, but in a proper environment (dimly lit room), the glossy display will look much better than a display with a matte finish.

@@ZorzGaming yes. It does make up a bit. Since motion clarity is essentially made up of [pixel transition time] * [persistence time]. So the left side of the equation is good, but the end result is still not S tier, because the right side is missing. And its essentially a multiplicative equation, since the screen clarity scales exactly by how long the persistence time is. If the frame is displayed for 50% of the time, it will be twice as sharp and clear, if it went to as low as 10%, it would be 10 times as clear. So not only having bfi matters, but also how long the strobe length is. That's why the cx/c1 tvs are so good, because you can go to even below 50%, the most aggressive setting is around 1/3, so essentially the clarity is tripled. That's why it's so hard for me to look at these and be excited, I already have a "360hz oled" so to say. Just that the smoothness and input lag isn't as good, but it's still decent, and the clarity is what matters the most to me as a crt "enjoyer" (even if I haven't used one for a while, I'd still like to call myself an enjoyer.
