And what's worse is when the man is not a cheater and faithful to you but loves you but is negative about others himself and he see no way out no self esteem it can become toxic and negative if your trying to be a positive. And they just want you to be on their side about everything and be mad and miserable about the world like them and they want you to do it instead of see your positive mind that's bringing somebody down then u get in their mood and then your married to them is even worse goodness and yes we get comfortable their all we knew

+Taryn Jackson me too it was so so deep and honestly so very true and I'm a woman whom has been happily married for 26 years now but it hasn't always been perfect but well worth fighting for and working through the tough times, because our good times are by far more than the bad. But I just agree with you and I honestly think that is perfect advice for anyone if they are ever contemplating on a relationship ask themselves that one question Do I feel alone here lying in this bed with this person lying here next to me ?? sometimes a toxic relationship doesn’t even have to involve cheating, lying, abuse, etc. They can be all good. But if you guys just aren’t compatible, If you guys just don’t click, if you don’t feel that spark, staying is still toxic for you.
100% I feel like we're both good people, but just want different things. A true indicator for me personally is that I do not feel like I'm improving as a person. I think you should always improve yourself, but the person you're with should give you that extra push.

coco fina so true my ex ended the relationship however he still wants to be friends but i tried telling him I can't do that because Im still in-love with him so I tried to block him but he contacted me and I eventually broke and started speaking to him again but now it's hard for me to think about seeing him with someone else I'm just not at that stage hence why I told him I can't speak to him anymore. I don't know if he really sees a future for us but for me now it's too hard to be in limbo.Am I doing the right thing?
you're absolutely doing the right thing! I'm going through the exact thing. He hurt me badly and I thought it would be better to have him by my side as a friend than nothing at all with hopes of us getting back together. I decided to end that "friendship" because I didn't want to see him with someone else and I realized that keeping him around was only going to hurt me more. If he comes back to you after this space and you no longer care whether or not you guys end up together then maybe you can start to build again. But don't let him in if you're not ready emotionally!

Did you no its Gods will to beleave upon Jesus! He wants you to and without faith and belief gods word is meaningless! It says in James "faith without works is dead." Do you really believe upon Jesus? what I see through black eyes true!! I have a lovely boyfriend who gives me his ALL , never cheated for 2years of our relationship. shows me constant love.. But ever since we moved in together we argue a lot.. He most times makes me feel insecure (not intentionally) but like checks out other females right infront of me to the point where I'm so insecure now to not go out with him anymore coz if I see a hot chick, I know for sure he'll be looking and 99% of the time he does.. He even searches up "titties on Facebook" I've gone through his search history and when I confronted him, he deleted those history, he even joined that tittie group to see other women's boobs, sooooo disrespectful.. He even comment on one of his mate's sister's pic with a meme and said "it was just a joke babe don't worry" but he said guys at his work found her hot but it was him too coz why would he comment on her wall!! don't know if I'm tripping but SometimesI wish I was single, you're right!😩 it's hard!!

DeNaye omg I need friends like this too. I need this more than relationships with a man. I need that sisterhood that be there for each other when opportunity stands. Because when I don't feel at my best, its very hard to allow myself to take heed into a sisters advise, and positive encouragement. I currently am struggling in an verbal and emotional abusive relationship with my fiance right now. Going on almost 7 years with him right. And he is too much to deal with. My huge problem right now, is chronic depression. I do believe I am worth it, and Mos Def have no problem being alone nor having to not. But, like she said in this video, I'm one of those who hang on to our history. Its one thick history. Its so hard, I haven't even reached the level in my head about letting go. I'm far from it. But I want to let him go. I just don't know how. But I'm praying for the courage to be strong and let go.
From the jump there were red flags that I chose to ignore. I didnt want to be alone. I told myself, girl you just want to have fun, you dont got to marry him. Situations got worse, he was very manipulative, angry, selfish and very argumentative. I told myself, self this is better than being alone, even though in the back of my mind I couldn't even answer to myself what I really liked about the person. There were so much hatred in me that came out when I was around him. I started to think that I liked the pain. Well tonight as I was in the shower, I prayed God would give me the chance to finally leave him, as I had tried many times before unsuccessfully. So I started blocking him from social media, then moved to deleting pictures/videos. I saw that he called while I was in the shower, being weak again, I called him back. No answer. As I continue with this video, I'm still waiting for him to call back to tell him I'm through. But then I thought, what am I doing!? You prayed about this, you started so why not finish it. So I paused this video and finished blocking him on everything. He doesn't deserve me, he never loved me as he claimed. I am strong and I'm free.

I told my boyfriend I had a miscarriage while he was on the road, and he showed no emotion,wouldn't pick up the phone when I called or nothing. I took that as I sign that I needed to move on and that having a miscarriage was a blessing in disguise...there is no way he loved me like he say he did. It's hard but it's life.

So many people stay stuck in a horrible or unloving relationship for the sad sake they are afraid of change and afraid of being alone. It takes courage to stand alone; it takes strength. Loveless relationships only hurt people. Move on. Happiness is in our mind and in our soul, and is to be shared with those who deserve us - not ones who disrespect and hurt us. Make good decisions. Make it work or make an exit. Don't live in misery. Thank you for this video. I broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years and I depended emotionally on him; if he was pissed off, I was. Anything he did would affect, no more how little/big. I didn't know how to function without him. I let so many things he did slide, it was so toxic. I finally summoned the courage to let go and start fresh with the new year of 2016. Boy, does it feel good. Yes, it hurts sometimes and I do allow myself to grieve for the loss of the relationship but now I am free. Nothing to stress about! I even found that I cried more in the relationship than I did after walking away. He didn't fulfil my spirit and I didn't want to settle for less. I won't give my all to someone that's not even giving half.

I've been emotionally drained, stressed, lost. Can't sleep. Pretty much feeling lifeless for the past week. I don't feel like talking to my family or friends about what is going on with me (don't feel comfortable). I'm usually on youtube ALL the time. Its my getaway. I love to watch makeup videos. But, today was different. I was watching "recommended" videos (usually i don't pay much attention to) and scrolling through ... Your video was one of them. Every video had to do with makeup except yours. I watched it and OMG! I felt it was a sign from god! Just when i felt at my least and didn't want to speak to no one, your video is what i had needed all this time! I can tell you're speaking from your heart and that is what i was looking for and much needed during this dark time. Someone who knows and feels what they're saying. I have been with my husband for 11yrs and we have 3 beautiful children. Things aren't going well at all. They haven't been for years. I want to thank you so much for making this video. I left him quite a few times actually but he'd still find ways to still physically have a reason to be close to me. Even tho we've technically been broken up since October, I officially put him out the house for good last month. He's currently living out of his car and sleeping on ppls couches and that doesnt bother me anymore. I used to always want to help but I domt care what he does anymore as long as it's not to me. Omg I'm so glad I came across this video. I have been with my husband since I was 19 and I'm now 26. We've been married for 5 years and it's been a rollercoaster. The last 2 years have been hell. I've moved out several times just to come back. I'm a nursing student so I've been working part time for quite a while now and he's been constantly putting me down whether it's about me not "bringing enough to the table" or my weight gain from having our daughter. I'm a emotional wreck and I'm the process of trying to gain my confidence back. Almost everyday there's a man who reminds me of how beautiful I am whether Im in the grocery store, gas station etc. and I must admit it makes me feel pretty darn good (although I'm not relying on these compliments for my happiness). I know I am beautiful but it just hurts me that other men recognize and acknowledge me while on the other hand my husband tears me down. I know it's time to go but I feel like I'm staying for all of the wrong reasons, finances being a big part of it. I will be graduating nursing school soon so I pray to God once I am financially stable I will find the strength to get out of this toxic marriage. It's going to be hard letting go of my first love 😔

That's is so true..and everyone asks me what's my secret and want to find that special husband like I have....I always say don't look for that person God will bring them to you. They will find you...when the moment is right. And I always say keep praying. But like Missy Lynn Lynn I been through a bad relationship in the past. I'm so glad I woke up and realized I needed to get out of it and leave. That was such a long time ago in my early 20's and I been with my husband for 11yrs and married for almost 3yrs. I felt so alone... thinking that I was trapped into a relationship. This video gave me a clear view that my relationship is toxic and I have to cut all ties from my partner. I'm telling you God is real! I'm going through this right now. . Ended a 4 year relationship just Monday but to him it was already over but he wasn't man enough to say anything to me about it, but continued to act as if we were a thing. He was my high school sweetheart. Alot of times people let college change them. I have not shed not one tear since he left Monday. And it's really not hard for me because I actually wasn't happy and was kinda pretending too so it's like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders! I was with my ex for 6 years but I've felt single for the last 2 years of the relationship. I went through the darkest part of my life and he was never there...his excuse was that he didn't know how to deal with it. I wasn't happy, we don't have any children (thank God) but I stayed that long because I didn't value myself, I didn't think that I deserve any better. Thank God I finally found value in myself and let him go. He keep texting me, asking me for another chance, he says that we should never break up...bullshit. It's been almost 2 years and I'm still single but I'm happy

This happened to me as well.My older brother committed suicide last year,and my ex bf didn't even try to make an effort to be there more for me.I had a mental breakdown, and it still didn't phase my ex.I realized he made me worse,especially after losing a loved one.
I'm glad we can always find strength to carry on.
I think the hardest part is letting go especially when you have a kid with them!

The secret I believe to having a happy relationship is maintain your individuality while maintaining respect for each other. As adults you also need your alone time from a partner. Do not think that because you are together you must be consumed by them. Have a drink with your friends without him sometimes, go to the office party without him don't lose YOU! Once you start controlling our partners it's downhill from there, and it goes both ways.

+TheExMuslima Have a heart to heart talk with your partner. Let him know how you feel without pointing a finger at him. Tell him what makes you happy and what makes you sad. If they hear these things from the get go and really wants the relationship to work they will fit right in place. It's a lack of communication that kills relationships.

Hello everyone, Dennis Hicks here it's been a while sense I have stopped in to say hi. Things are going well; bought me a small place in Elgin Oregon. I have not yet found the love of my life; but I'm still looking and leaving my heart open to that.
As for my Ex-wife the news is this,, her and my best friend for 45 years are together now and I guess planing on getting married. I have been completely cut out of the loop; I believe my friend might be feeling a bit shitty about doing what he's doing. What neither know tho is that I don't care; I'm just happy she's his problem and not mine.

Being in a toxic relationship is really traumatic, it hinders your life to be happy but one thing I can advice to everyone who are in that relationship is just let go because toxic relationship is like a disease that will slowly kill your life.
I'm getting better. I saw the signs of toxicity within 4 months. I tried to give a chance but it was just crazy and constant fighting. I used to have relationships like that, and they would last years. This time, I saw the red flags and walked. Great video and great advice!

This is the best thing I have ever seen on youtube. I have been so hurt and allowing a toxic man into my life and I knew I was wrong by allowing him to do what he does to me every single day but I was only remembering the good history not the bad. I've been in my current relationship for 4 1/2 years. We started dating when I was 15 and he was 16. In the beginning months things were bliss. Some of the best months of my life. I found myself spending every waking second with him and putting him before everything and everyone. 1 year into the relationship he would break up with me like every 3 months, go have sex or talk to another girl and then come back to me. And I foolishly took him back. every. time. 3 years ago he started getting abusive. Mentally and emotionally then quickly physically. I would use the excuse that it was only a few times and he won't do it again. I was wrong 3 years later and just last week he beat me with a laundry basket, box fan, clothes hangers, threw me down, kicked me, punched me, slapped me, choked me, and even tried pushing in on my temples as if he were trying to kill me. I found myself begging him to just kill me and get it over with. Take me out of my misery. I had bruises all over my body. I have cried every day since then. I have finally told my mom and friends and they are helping me move my stuff out. I couldn't have done it without watching this video. Thank you.

After suffering through the exact same circumstances as you for the last year, I decided that enough was enough and moved back to my home state where my friends and family are. I completely cut off contact with the individual I had a toxic relationship with, and I could not be happier. Let me tell you this, the quicker you cut off contact the better you will be in the long-run. Staying in the loop of disappointments will not improve. I promise you.

I went to his house to talk and get closure but I was standing outside like a stupid fool. I've chased him for 14 years! Every since he started school, got his Bachelor's degree, now he's getting his masters degree,, he has changed. He treats me like I'm beneath him, and like he's better than me. He bought a house and two new cars while I'm struggling. Always said I am the one he loves but treated me like shit!!! Ask your self do you want to be feeling how you feel right now in 20 or 30 years or do you want to be happy right now more? Fear is what stopped me from feeling how I feel right now; I feared feeling good and taking control. You can do it prove it to yourself that you do want to be happy more than you want to be unhappy.

Those of us who know we are in toxic relationships definitely see the red flags. Currently with a guy who I know is faithful but who as years have gone by, threatens the relationship when I am insecure or need comfort. It's confusing to love someone like this because your brain tries to justify why he would say that. I hope I have the strength to do what is best for the both of us tomorrow and talk about moving on. Been holding on for so long second guessing but I need to stay true to myself. If he's not complementing my future then he's out. This is a big sign: if you're scared to talk about serious topics in your relationship then you can not be serious with them. If you don't think about the future : marriage, moving in, having children (if u want them) in a positive light than save yourself. I saw the signs early that we had different goals and now I'll be in more pain because I thought he would change... He is who he is and I am who I am and you shouldn't have to change anyone.

Thank you for this Missy Lynn. My ex girlfriend and I became very toxic to each other - physically, emotionally, mentally abusive. She left me weeks ago because it just hit her limit and I realize now that I was very wrong to have put her through all that misery. I see exactly the errors in my way of not respecting her nor being affectionate or appreciating all her hard work poured into the relationship. I let my selfish ego ruin a great relationship that showed promise. Everything you said was exactly what happened in the relationship up to the end. I know we can never go back to the relationship we had. I hope one day happiness comes back to her and I but in the mean time, we have to stay away because it is just an unhealthy relationship that needs lots of time to heal the deep wounds we both inflicted on each other
Here's my answer to your question about what I was doing before I met my husband: I was with my ex. I've always went from relationship to relationship with barely any time for myself in between. Very dependent you could say. I really want to change that. I need to breathe. I need to be on my own and figure out what I want in my life without feeling guilty about unfulfilling someone else's needs by being a little selfish.

I needed this... I got out of a relationship a couple months ago that made me cry multiple times every month I was with that person. He made me feel like absolute shit in pretty much every way possible and had me questioning my every decision. After things ended I vowed I wasn't gonna allow anyone to ever make me feel that small again. Going into the new year I'll keep this advice in mind. Much love

I hope you have found your way out of this abusive relationship. It may not have been physically abusive 8 months ago but the longer you're exposed to it, the easier it is for it to become that way. You're too young to let this be a long-term part of your life narrative. Get out while you can if you aren't and go have the clean and safe fun a teenager is supposed to have. I've been praying to God to show me a sign. I'm in an unhealthy, focus relationship. I give my 100% and he's cheated, physically hurt me, and still lies. Yes it was my choice to forgive and try to fix things. But I've realized you cannot change someone who doesn't want to be changed.. even if they cry and tell you otherwise. Hi Missy Lynn, Dennis here again! Great news got my final decree of divorce yesterday I am now divorced. Life is getting better everyday and the ex-wife and I have been working together pretty well. It was hell at first but well worth it. Thanks you inspired me to get it done! We sold our house and I am taking my share of the sale and going on a life long fishing camping and Harley ride purely for the fun in it. My best life is yet to come.

I was hesitant in commenting my experience with the toxic relationship I'm currently in. Only because I've made excuses for him so much, went back so much, that I now am mind screwed to believing he is the only man for me, and nothing is wrong with him it's all me. But listening to your video, it's bringing that anger our of me. Not towards you, but towards myself, because I never thought I'd be the one to allow a man to get me to the point of losing my friends, and myself. Before this relationship, I was super happy, always working out, had a good friendship with my close friends, and I feel as if this relationship has dumbed me down. I feel like I can't think for myself anymore, and that I'm convinced he's everything I always wanted. They are bad friends. Didn't want me around any male friends (like men I been real good friends with for a very long time who are married and have kids). I got rid of all my friends. Now I am always alone and the only time I go out is if my bf is off. He is so verbally and mentally abusive, I cry every single day because I'm not sure how to get my mind to understand he is no good for me. I want to thank you for this video. This was a pure blessing. This video helped me let go of a 3 year relationship of about a year of crying, friends leaving me, family looking at me crazy and my inner self drowning all because I loved him. Love is such a powerful drug, it allows you to continue to do things and feel a way towards a person even if it means to compromise the happy you. I just wanted to share my story. What she was saying was all true. Especially the part about feeling alone in a relationship. My X who is also the father of my 2 children drug me down so bad that i actually ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks. He was not abusive, he was not unfaithful or anything like that but, he had no ambition, no drive,no goals. I was the one who carried him. Hell i carried the whole family. I was over worked with no real help. He refused to work. I missed alot of time with my kids because of how much i had to work. I was beyond stressed and ended up getting diagnosed with a rare condition called conversion disorder. We broke up a few months later. I could no longer hold us down and i no longer had what he needed. And now that he is gone...I FEEL GREAT!!!
