I like this one. I really wish she and Aurora would collab on something. They've been friends a long time, I'd like to see what they could come up with together.
I lovee this song, but the memory connected to this is sitting in an AA van on christmas eve with bags of presents with this on the radio while they were connecting the car up 😅
Sigrid "Plot Twist" and "Don't Kill My Vibe" Acoustic. I also remember that you wanted suggestions for First Aid Kit "My Silver Lining" Official Music Video, or (acoustic) London Southbank Latitude in the City.
With all the Scandinavian Noir we send your way from Norway, filled with sadness and melancholy and feelz (Aurora, Madrugada, Ane Brun, Leprous, Susanne Sundfør (...), it is good to provide a bit of Sigrid-energy to compensate a tiny bit. Just in case you would think we are just insanely miserable and sadly in deep thoughts ALL the time up here. We do bop and woop too in between our worship of darkness via black metal. Thus we have sent Sigrid out to remind the world about the fact that Norwegians can have a surprisingly wide range of emotions. 😀
There’s also Astrid S, Dagny, Julie Bergan, Ina Wroldsen (…mostly), Alan Walker, Marion Raven, and numerous others I’m forgetting now. But I’m kinda ruining your Sigrid/Scandi-Noir bit. 😁
Oh you guys! Thanks for reacting to a Sigrid favorite. I love her energy and everyday beauty. You might like a look at her gigs for your own pleasure, she was at Wembley (London) a week or two ago, before that Lafayette and Reading, full of joy, to finally be back onstage again. Oh before I forget - you need to listen to Christel too - 'Finding Gold' ruclips.net/video/Ou_6vQ7oZbA/видео.html with band and strings, or 'Come back to me' ruclips.net/video/RggpMwaruCI/видео.html just her and her guitar, both are just... yeah, give them a listen.
Glad you enjoyed it! Could definitely see you bopping along to it. I find Sigrid great for listening to when out on a walk. Her up-beat songs like these definitely encourage you to keep your pace up! (intermixed with some Aurora)
I've really got a soft spot for those stuttering/static electronic bass lines! My favourite is probably Robyn's "Dancing On My Own", which incidentally grabbed the top spot when Rolling Stone magazine listed the greatest songs of the 2010s. She is also a great live artist. There's a clip of her performing the song on the David Letterman show. Link below if you want to check it out.
Nice reaction to a pretty nifty pop banger and fun after-the-song discussion. Sigrid’s Burning Bridges up close and acoustic video is terrific, although seemingly problematic in terms of being blocked in most countries. I still think you’d get a kick out of her Everybody Knows (and Watermelon Sugar) covers. “Of 'Strangers', Sigrid says the song is "about that feeling of wanting something to be something it's not." "It's a sad song but it's a type of song that makes you want to cry and dance at the same time, which are my favourite club songs."” And just to mention the obvious: new Angelina Jordan cover (video) is out. Check your feed for a new Kalandra video coming in a few days - With You (Unplugged). :)
Sigrid is amazing! Cant wait for the new album to drop. I highly recomend Home to you, as another Sigrid reaction. It's not as poppy but more in the lines as Dynamite, that you've already seen. I recomend the live at Lindmo version. ruclips.net/video/eTIzlTeIIac/видео.html Btw. Sigrid is the same age as Aurora (25)
She just released her new single ' Burning Bridges' back in late August it has a Music Video too. You can check out her other hit from Strangers called Don't Kill My Vibe.
my nordic heart misses some sadness, tragic and melancholy. i think she has really a good, smoky voice but i'm not into that kind of pop-music. the same with auroras studio work, too. much radio-pop for my taste. on the other hand, it's always good to be happy and that there is happy pop music. when i want to listen to pop music (this can really happen!) i often listen to fm-belfast. i think their music is really cool and they have really weird lyrics. and a friendly reminder for anna von hausswolff. don't miss her out, it would be a shame ;)

Scandinavians are in general much more style conscious than Americans and often like starker cleaner lines, no overstuffed lazyboy furniture...
