That's my hometown where I went to high school! Been to that place many times. Miss my Whole Foods store too! Now I live in far far West Texas that only has 1 grocery store & a couple of food trucks! Cheers! Gloria
Good choice Danny. You can’t go wrong with Pho and the price is average like Arizona. Btw, the key to a great tasting Pho is the broth. I always try the broth first.😊
I love quality Vietnamese. Here in Manhattan, the gold standard was Nha Trang on Baxter Street. Then Pho 87 opened on Chrystie Street and it was a level above. Sad to say that Pho 87 closed two weeks ago. Now back to Nha Trang.
That free breakfast at the Quality Inn was somewhat short for a continental breakfast. But I guess it's something if you're into cereal, toast and waffles for breakfast. Most of the smaller Marriotts I've stayed at bring out scrambled eggs and some kind of meat and a much wider assortment of pastries.
It was probably filled through the beverage dispenser filter. The water in The DFW area comes from shallow reservoirs. If you have ever flown into DFW in the summer, in a window seat, every lake is green. They filter and treat it, but it’s not the best tasting, with a chlorine and musty smell. Most of it is used to keep the lawns green, so no need to make perfect. It’s best after being filtered.
Glad you could get your "Asian food" fix. Hope you get to try some other cuisines while visiting Texas. There seemed to be a bunch of other places to try in that strip mall.
Pho is for lovers.. and I prefer 50% longer 😂 and fatter is good too .. wink 😉 wink 😉.. yeah yeah food n travel!! 🤪😜Mahalo for another good video Brah!! Be safe yah!!
Pho looked pretty big. I see that they used the Chinese spring roll wrappers. I like when they use rice paper wrappers for the spring rolls. The texture and chew are a lot better I think.
1:33 - i had no idea you can order things on line to ship to a grocery store, wow, thats interesting. ok, back to the video. also, can you post some scenes from the show here so we can see it too?
I personally think the pho was a great price for the amount & quality. Seems really worth it to me. We paid an avg $17/bowl in Toronto & it’s much smaller size and barely decent pho. I high recommend you avoid wasting money on pho if you ever visit TO.
Not sure where you're getting pho in Toronto where it's $17/bowl. Downtown maybe? In my area you might pay $17 for an XL bowl, but not a standard sized one. If you're near Pacific Mall, check out Kim Po at Steeles and Kennedy, by the Milliken GO Station. Broth is tasty and the prices are decent.
@@kevwwong Maybe around the Asian areas, you can find a bowl of pho for under $17 but other places, I've paid $16.99 for a normal size. Some restaurant don't offer different sizes, just 1 size for $17. I haven't been to Kim Po for over a decade. Been there a few times when they first opened.
@@kleptodathief3946 Most pho in GTA sucks overall. I don't have a favourite place to go to. I've just tried Pho Huy in Stoney Creek this weekend, owned by Viet owners and it still sucks. Been to pho in Windsor, London, Ottawa, Kingston, basically everywhere throughout South Western Ontario and can't find a place where I can say it's good.
For me the price is little high for semi full-service restaurant. The best Pho rating are soup first noodle second and meat last. So where is your lover of the life, Danny? Beef Chow Fun does not count. Take care and keep on trucking with your foodie blog.
Hey Mr Medic, You've got the Texas Hat, now what about the Boots ?? The Pho looked steamy 🔥. Thought you could use those Cold Packs that were confiscated.
Price of pho and ramen in California is now over $15. Your bowl was a deal. When did you move to Quality Inn? I thought you were staying at the Townplace, the bottom of the barrel of Marriott properties, where breakfast normally sucks.
I am both. paramedic falls under the umbrella of medic, which is a person that comes when you get hurt. a paramedic is a person that comes in an ambulance when you get hurt, specifically carrying paramedic stuff.
an example is during the big paramedic shortage of NYC a couple years back, we had paramedics come in from all over the nation! otherwise traveling nurses are more common
DANNY THE MEDIC- EVERYTHING is bigger in Texas, more meat, etc... When I was there last November every single place was incredible!!
Awesome video
Danny…just south on 75 from the Pho place is Pappasitos..really good Mexican food…highly recommend! Fab queso!
thanks! dtm5

As a VietAm, I wasnt impressed by the quality of Pho in NYC.
Pretty neat you get to keep the soup spoon always liked the style of these they were very practical for soup.

As far as free hotel breakfasts go, I guess it existed.
Is the tap water as good as NYC tap water?
no tap water come close to NYC tap water!

Awesome gag with the egg roll. Dig Pho~ ... my turf was Westminster CA for years and I got spoiled on the good stuff.
Ketchup packets on the breakfast counter. Was there something to put it on. Usually some egg product stuff. Thank you. Where's your cowboy hat?
Not pricey at all. Here in the Northwest, the price range for soup and rice combo is around $15 -$18 and smaller serving than what you had.

Sunday brunch from 10am to 2pm at Enchilada's Restaurant is great just south of you about 6 miles
Food and Travel guys, Food and Travel!

Don't know if you are still in Plano. But you should hit up What The Pho? It's my favorite up there.
dtm5
It’s always amusing watching you eat and then scolding the inner child in all of us. Btw what does “dtm5” mean?
dtm5 is just a bookmark so I can refer to it again easier.
That food looks great.
💜 egg rolls...
soup looked delish
Wonderful video! You need to come to San Jose for good pho Danny! :)
Also Norma's Cafe in Plano has real good breakfast and kind of cheap $10 -$20 just around the corner from you
Did not know Whole Foods takes Parcel deliveries for its customers? Cool!
amazon is affilated.
Come to the south and eat some of our great food; such as grits, biscuits & gravy, chitlins, corn pone, hog jowl....yummy!

Very nice video and the price is reasonable compared to Vegas. Nice rental you got there, you ever rent a car in Vegas?
in vegas, I take the RTC
Go Southwest Air 2 free bags Mr Danny lol😊😊😊😊
You cook a good waffle... its not my cup of tea either but everyone has to eat. I wanted to see the Marriot breakfast myself.
When eating eggrolls, Food and Travel. Food and Travel guys
👍👍💕😋😎🤠

The sun = great for hat, but with no horse I cannot justify the boots...

Are you paramedic or medic? Is there a difference in job descriptions?
I am both. paramedic falls under the umbrella of medic, which is a person that comes when you get hurt. a paramedic is a person that comes in an ambulance when you get hurt, specifically carrying paramedic stuff.
@dannythemedic I've only encountered paramedics twice. Never knew they travel as needed.

If you're still in dfw and would like recommendations let us know!
Yummo waffle 🧡
I started to drink ice water...that way the money I save from buying a drink becomes my tip for the waitress
thats great!
There are some great restaurants around there... Thai , Chinese and every ethnic choice you can think of. Good luck on your choices
Where is McKenna? We need her back
Pho looking good to eat
Danny, why are you not trying the BBQ? That's what Texas is famous for!
will try soon
Pho looked good. Not sure about those Viet rolls tho.
I think the price is all relative. In the SF area, you're looking at least $3-$4 more for a bowl of pho.
Think of the egg roll is a cigar, instead.
LMAO 😂
What can I say Danny, sometimes the Pho is not the best, I would just pho-get and move on!
Phirst❤
not my thing eating PHO on a very hot day, i do see they have sandwiches on menu
i know TUNG will never eat there
Vietnamese spring rolls failed. They used the Chinese spring rolls wraps not the proper Vietnamese spring rolls wraps 😮
Because he didn’t order spring rolls but fried egg rolls…
