One example of getting rid of all your block cards is for what I call a Berserker build with Ironclad. He has a lot of cards that promote relentlessly attacking to just out damage your opponent. I’ve won a run with this build, it can be very deadly, though like almost every build in this game the wrong type of enemy can ruin you. Still it’s super fun
Can confirm. It’s reckless, as expected from this kind of gameplay and it’s also the reason I love Ironclad. It emphasize on the phrase “Offense is the best defense and I literally was at 11HP in that twin geometry boss fight. I stacked up some Strength and just spammed the shit out of Anger, Dropkick and anything that is low cost. I didn’t even believed I could pull that stunt off, it was pretty much a leap of faith. It was so rewarding despite how simple that gameplay was.
thanks for the video man, it was really helpful. The game was recently released on iOS so you'll probably get a decent influx of viewers. I've played two runs so far and I'm absolute garbage at the game so far despite my decent amount of experience with card games lel, I got to the 3rd act and got shrekt midway through. I subbed to the channel and hope to see more videos! I'm not particularly experienced with roguelikes but so far I really love the genre (FTL, Into the breach, now STS and a few other smaller games). Cheers bro Edit: my very next run after watching this I "won" (get the sense that there is more after this through whatever ascension is) with an absolutely bonkers defect deck. Big thanks
Well i must be worse. I've been playing for almost a week and the highest ive got is at an elite just over halfway on the second act. I can't seem to do more damage than im taking. One guy was hitting me with 36 damage and i had only 2 block cards. I just can't find a balance for attack and defend that makes a difference or know what cards have a good enough synergy to take down an elite boss that has over 200 health points when hes hitting you with double figures!! 🤷♂️
What was the point of bursting the slime when he got to near half health? Wouldn't the result have been the same had you just brought him to right below half health, since he's splitting anyway?
Found this video a lot more helpful then the other beginner things I've watched. You do go into pretty specific things such as enemies, but you can just extrapolate it as "Know thy enemy". Actually beat The Collector for the first time thanks to this.
I bought this game yesterday. I'm a beginner but this video is definitely not made for beginners. I would call it for intermediates. There is no explanation about what means what. It's just a guide about how to win in your ladder by not doing these mistakes..
I won with 36 cards and an attacking built deck probably because of how lucky I got with artifacts
"Will be in my next video"... bruh
that bonus tip was the best part of the whole video haha good stuff.
You beat an Act 3 boss with full HP. OMG.
Not too difficult if your deck is heavily defensive. All four characters have builds that focus on this kind of playstyle.
Super helpful bro. Earned another sub ✌️

There is a rare Ironclad card called Berserk actually. Did you use that?
@@Ddiaboloer if i can nab it and i need the energy, of course! Anything that leads to killing the enemy as fast as possible you grab

There are 20 ascension levels per character

thanks. same for you :)
v helpful!
"the awakened one which is the wolf guy"
Wolf guy?? Did I misunderstand that?
He meant wolfman. Like Benicio del Toro. It's a regional thing.
What was the point of bursting the slime when he got to near half health? Wouldn't the result have been the same had you just brought him to right below half health, since he's splitting anyway?
The slimes that spawn from the split have the same health that the bigger slime was on when it split

Ive done like 2 runs and this guide makes enough sense for me
Well I don't think someone will make a video about a topic the game already explains.
Mispronouncing Ascensions but cool video.
