Mightve been born almost 20 years after this was filmed but i’d do anything to be there in the audience. Wow what an incredible performance. I love Black Uhuru
The hardest heavyweight rockers inna reggae history, Black Uhuru in this line up with M. Rose at his very best !!! And Sly Drumbar ... Lord have mercy, this guy is the boss
I saw them in Phila. last year in a small venue, was 15' away from Sly. For 2.5 hours he beat those drums asses- they were on life support when the show was over. Couldnt take my eyes off him- the man is a MASTER.
I Got to See them in Concert with All the Old members and New in 1982 on Maui , Micheal Rose & Don Carlos , Puma , Duckie , and Garth& Junior Reid Debut, sly Robbie even On the Anthem World Tour , Huge Set Up Two Drum Sets Bass Lines ! World Class Vocalist & Percussions , the Transition Roots Vocals to Eltronica ,keyboards with the Genera Changes of the 80's to More Pop Crucial Roots , The 80's was Amazing (Blessed to Been In the MAGIQ Times )
Yes puma was so special the band shifted units because of her female presence. She was a beautiful princess with a voice pity she wasn't more appreciloved. Politics in the band meant she died a broken woman shame. Duckie Simpsons moving account in his 3 part interview here on RUclips, is very revealing of the struggles behind the scenes shocking.
I was at this rainbow gig back in 1981 with my brother Phill and he's mate Ian very good gig and a great night out nice one one love thanks for posting this online
Funny thing is that a lot of young rasta lovers know michel rose,, but not black uhuru. Than the day comes that they see this,, the best of M. Rose in the biggest band ever, Black uhuru. Thats a big surprise for them hahaha
Those were the days Road block at Finsbury Park that night the Uhuru Live Sly and Robbie's and the fullness of Michael Rose Puma Jones Duckie Simpson house was rocked by the relentless beats of the bands energy those days long gone but the memories and these recordings remain that's at least some consolation what has happened to reggae music not the same anymore

The talent and chemistry between every musician on that stage is intoxicating.
Too bad it was short-lived.

I regard this particular presentation as their best performance ever, not before and not even after they had their set so tight.
Such a strong set. Black Uhuru is in the zone, as tight as it gets. We're so lucky to have this show documented so fully, and so Irie. Much respect.
Happiness! Miss you, Nanny! 11:11 ❤️

the best thing in reggae after king Bob Marley
Better than marley to me
no cutt no doubt- i tell everybody that. They have that hard edge to them, no pop or soft tracks- all up in your face.
Bobmarly deep talent tho...all good
Lets just agree BOTH were brilliant in their own space
This group Bob Marley liked and when asked he said he listens to them Black Uhuru! He definitely wanted the message to keep going
Showzaço! Melhor fase dessa magnifica banda!
