I was there! Brilliant year for reggae music. Those were the days, things have changed so much now, I remember camping with my van probably 50 yards from the stage, now u have to walk up to a mile to park up Great vibes
@@pango-y8j I'm sorry to say but Don Carlos' initial involvement with Black Uhuru was not impactful. His second coming, just like Junior Reid's (though an established artist in his own rights) was just like 'keeping up appearances' as far as the Black Uhuru story goes..
I've never seen this before⚡Amazing great! Dear Island,or Universal company? Please release the full set DVD! Their albums are all deleted!Unbelievable!Release the remasterd all albums box dedicated to Puma♥️and Robbie! We must keep their music live ever and ever.
Such a great performance ,remember it well...Around 7.20 is when some lighting came crashing down on the stage closely missing puma or Micheal rose.. hence the absence of vocals and people sweeping up on stage - they carried on like true professionals without hardly a bat of an eyelid
Nothing against modern Glastonbury really, but this makes me want a time machine, no crash barriers at the front, not a single flag or banner in the audience. Just a load of muddy Brits getting happily pummelled by the Turbosound PA rig. Great upload, thanks.
And a peace symbol atop the pyramid too... I was there for this one too. When I tell young un's about the CND connections to this festie they don't understand that it was a peace festival. It was this year (82) I think that the Bishop of Bath & Wells spoke out about Greenham Common & the Thatcher Gov. Glasto is nothing but a middle class smooze fest these days.
Great to see this in brilliant quality! The performance is definitely from 1982 btw,as I feature in it briefly..in blue shorts! It rained heavily all afternoon ,hence dancing in the mud was compulsory!

A memory I cherish ❤️💛💚 Puma Jones RIP 🤍🕊
Mykal Rose and pumas are wonderfully authentic.
Does reggae get any better than Black Uhuru at their peak? Good to see some rastas on the stage at Glastonbury.
Black Uhuru’s power lineup by far , with sly on drums and Robbie throwing down on the bass. Good days!
Only one Black Uhuru for ever - Michael, Puma and Duckie... Every other contraption is a farce. Great show

Hardly a shot from Sly Dunbar, i expected more from the BBC
I don't think this is the BBC. They probably didn't even know what a festival was in 1982.
