I've been so mesmerized by this video ever since I saw it the other day!!! Inspired me to try my first negative space watercolour
I'm the type to get bored easily and I can't sit still doing the same thing for 10 minutes... but I watched this until the end, I'm just hooked. I get the technique for the first 3 minutes, but I dunno why I'm still watching it till the end.
Great art and atmosphere, btw. I like how easily you paint the detail like you're not dealing with watercolors. damn.

From watching this, I realized my supplies are pretty old/outdated/insufficient lmao. I should really replace my brushes because they definitely do not hold that amount of water.
Jeanju this is two months late but shes probably using a sable hair brush. i own one and no synthetic brushes can compare to the amount of water a sable brush holds. if you were talking about replacing your old sable brushes, then ignore this lol
you must be right bc i have both natural hair and synthetic brushes and both dry out pretty fast

Hi! I've been noticing that when you do your negative paintings, you use this gorgeous dark, warmish blue for the last layer - is it a specific colour, or do you mix it from any particular colours? I've really fallen in love with your painting style btw, your pieces have such a special, mysterious mood :)
L S i’m pretty sure it’s either indigo or prussion blue! :)
Probably a mix of Prussian blue!
