Yes, this camera is way overexposed. I use it with 1stop down, so I don't lose details in the sky. This is the best review I saw so far because you show how the files are made in the camera.

Well, it's not a GoPro, but for the price it's a very good alternative. What I miss is a lack of resolutions and recording angles. Generally I am satisfied with this cheap action camera. I mainly use the Eken for my RUclips videos and I think it does a great job for this purpose.

You have the best eken h9r review on youtube, some other videos have so much views and that is very bad videos when I compare with your videos. Thank you for great review. I have one maybe stupid question for you before i buy this cam, is it possible to control camera with phone or remote control if camera is underwater and am outside water distance will be under 10m? And is that remote controler waterproof?
Thank you for your comment. The remote is only splash proof. You can not take it under water. I never have tried the camera under water, so I don't know if the remote or the iCam-H9R app is working and on which distance.
Vary good video. For me, kaiack fisher, the 170º wide is ok the only disadvantage I noted for now (3 times I used it) is the batery that goes down vary soon .
Normally the battery life is 1H30, screen in standby mode
hello, you test this cam in the night? i have one and shot in 1080 60fps but the video is blur, and filming seems less fluid, you have a idea? sorry for my bad english..
I do not remember filming during the night, but the camera is not designed for night recording anyway. Maybe the only thing you can try is to reduce the frame rate to 30fps and choose another light source in the settings. When I made the night test with the Firefly, I had the same problems. Have a look : ruclips.net/video/63StyKDOitQ/видео.html @5:24 . ThE Firefly is also not really designed for night shots. Another problem can be the SD-card. You absolutely need a class 10 card.
Hello . I cant get any sound on my videos ☹️ is there somewhere in the settings I can turn on the recording volume ?
No unfortunately, there is no possibility to set the volume. Maybe there is a technical problem with the microphone. If you use the playback on the camera, you can hear a very bad sound of the recorded scene. Did you try to read the recorded file directly from the SD-card ?
Hi, i try to record time lapse video using eken H9r but it not record a video but still picture instead. Am i bought a fake camera? Can you teach me how to record time lapss video from start to finish?
HI, it's really simple. Enter the settings menu. Go to 'Time Lapse'. Set your desired photo interval and confirm. Go to 'Continous Lapse' and set the value to 'On'. Exit the settings menu. Go to 'timed photo shot' and activate the photo shot. A timer is displayed the photo interval you previously set and the camera is shooting a photo as long as the function is activated. The camera is not assembling the photos by itself. You need to assemble the taken photos in a video program.

You can use video editing software and apply some kind of filters or other features if you like. What do you mean with 'make the video flat ' ?

Meisech any software for android?
I do not think there is such an app for Android. To recalculate the FOV for an entire 1080p or 4K video you need a lot of memory and processor power. I made a search on internet but I did not found any android app able to do this. If you have not ordered the H9R yet, I suggest you buy another camera with a smaller FOV. Some of them can internally remove the fisheye distortion :

Hi, if i record in 1080@60fps the video will break into 10 mins each and 5 mins for 4k? Do i have to press record every 10 mins or it's auto?
You have nothing to do, it's automatic.

Does it switch on and record automatically when usb powered?
No, The Eken 4K is only turned on, but it does not record. A camera that records when an external power source is connected, is the Lenco Sportcam-400, which I also own. As soon as the Sportcam-400 is powered by an external power source, it will be turned on. After a few seconds the recording starts automatically. When the external power supply is interrupted, the current sequence is saved and the camera turns off. I suppose this is what you looking for.

mine only does video recording about 10 minute, is there a way to make record more than 10 minute?
Are you talking about the recording sequences or does the camera stop recording after 10 minutes?
@@Meisech mine is the same too..only record 10 minutes then continue for another 10 minutes and so on..is there a way for this camera to record more than 10 minutes at a time?
@@mkkama7516 No, it's planned like that. If there is an electronic problem, crash or any other problem with the camera you do not lose all of the recordings, but only the last 10 minute recording.
Hello, I use Eken H9R for vlogging, I use 1080p 60fps and a 32 GB card, my camera after 10 minutes is stoping filming, when I press play to start another video after 30 seconds it`s stops again, and the LCD after a few seconds of recording is closing off, is this normal ?
What's the behavior of the camera after you leave it alone for a while ?
@@Meisech the LCD is turning off like in stand by but it is still recording, I have to press the UP side buton once to turn ON the LCD, but sometimes after I`m recording 10 min and i want to start another video is doing the same thing with the LCD but this time is turning off after 30 seconds or something like that it`s stops recording
Battery dies....I guess
@@jacklee3608 Maybe it's the battery, maybe not. Deactivate the screen saver and the power saver in the settings. Indeed, the screen saver is working as well in stand by mode or when the camera is recording. Record a longer scene and check if the battery level is decreasing rapidly. When this is the case, than there is probably an issue with the battery.
@@Meisech Yea, the power saver mode will stop recording. The screen saver wont.

Sure, you can also use the camera as a dashcam. So no problem, you can record while the camera is charging.

As with all of these devices, the electronics prevent overloading. So you can relax and charge your camera overnight.
My eken h9r is blur how to fix it
I think your camera lens has an issue. Such a problem is nearly impossible to fix. I suggest to contact your reseller and to add a sample video of your blurred recordings.
Can I use this camera for like vlogs?
I think it is mostly depending the quality and the content of the video, not the camera. But if you want to present an interesting video, I suggest to buy a more professional camera.
Meisech any budget professional camera suggestions?
There are a huge amount of good video cameras on the market. If I bought a new camera now, I would buy the Sony FDR-AX700 4K. But it also has its price: 2,000 €. Another good 4K camera is the Sony AX33 4K which cost around 650 €. The AX33 is 200 € more expensive than the GoPro Hero 6 Black, but the quality is much better. If you want to make clear, sharp videos you need to buy a pro camera. All other cheap cameras are not especially designed for these kind of videos. You can also use one of the newest smartphones if you like.The quality of these devices becomes better and better.
