    Hi Tej, thank you so much for your lessons . I’m trying to learn tablas on Pakistani tablas, they’re not as good as your tablas but are ok for me to practice.I don’t know how I could afford to learn without internet and without your lessons so I wanted to send you a big thank you. I hope you’re doing well in Canada, I’m from Europe, France to be precise. Have a nice day Tej!

    First of all i would like to tell you that you are a great tabla player. Your videos always inspire me to play tabla and i learn a lot from your videos. Thank you. Also, can you make a video on how to play extremely fast trikit. I have seen some videos when in a composotion, the player plays tirkit really fast and i have always wondered how they do it. If you can make a video on that and demonstrate how to do it, i would be glad to learn it from you. Thank you once again!

I produced a a CD Thinking Tabls in 2001 which shows as how you can play same composition or. Chakradhar in various Tals. Presently in India after 45 years in USA. Index and middle finger are ok , it's giving more force and easy to move but problems comes in ring finger, it doesn't give more more force and doesn't move faster as compared to index and middle finger.

    Tejsir, thanks for sharing al wonderful lessons of tabla. Just a one question about metronome, what should be slow and medium speed for practice with metronome and should it set with 4/4 or something else. Appreciate your answer in advance.

    • @TejSinghMusic
      @TejSinghMusic  8 лет назад

      Hello Keyur ji.. 80 Slow 140 Med 200 Fast should be okay.. most practice should be done on slow speed. what is slow speed, 20% less than the speed you are comfortable playing. 4/4 will work or even 1/1 is fine too. Happy Learning!

    Tej Sir, you are amazing tabla teacher. I wish I lived in Toronto so I could learn from you in person. I have been playing tabla for a while now, but my tirkit is not getting fast like yours. I have been practicing tirkit tak tak tirkit taa taa, all the ones you mentioned in this video, but I wish it would faster like you. Any suggestions what I can do you improve it? There is a guys here who plays very good tabla here so I asked him, he says ke meri tirkit bhajjdi aah. Would be nice if I could maybe sometime play it over the phone for you and you can tell me where I am going wrong? Thank you so much for your hard work for putting these videos together. God bless you.

      SSA Bhaji, it doesn't really matter., its all come to practice, god blessing . in my 30 years teaching i have students with small fingers so well. its not a barrier to be good tabla player. right now i am teaching 2 students, Guy with long hands and his son with small fingers.. Guess who is playing better.. his 8 year old son.
