This is perhaps one of the best lessons I have come across. What I love about this lesson, is that every step is explained, but also shown how it will sound when played fast at each stage.. amazing sound, clarity and in delivering a lesson - Excellent work Tej Singhji!
Wow!! Really really brilliant. I left tabla years back for guitar but watching your video I am inspired to start tabla again. Please continue to make more . Thanks
Hello Tej Sir, I am from Pakistan and I play Tabla with my Church Choir. Recently I saw your lessons and learnt a few good techniques from Tirkit lesson. Amazing style of teaching and very neat and clean playing of bols. Your lessons once again prove that Indians really love music and serve it with such respect and devotion. When you search for Tabla lessons, unfortunately you don't find on RUclips any Pakistani Tabla player giving such lessons in such organised way, though there are many great Tabla players like Ustad Tair in our country. Great job you Indians doing out there!!!!

Guru Tej Singh Jee. your teaching method is the best. I love the clarity with which you demonstrate and explain. I don't play table and I don't have tabla at home. But I listen classical and semi classical music and always love the thaika on tabla and its "Boles". Thank you for sharing.

Hello sir, I really enjoy learning from your videos and I was just wondering what a tabla filler is used for and when I would use it if I was playing tabla with someone doing kirtan?
can i have yr watsapp number if possible, i see u have a studio and i m a small music producer myself , so we can work together, agar app chahain tou, :) best of luck from patiala gharana
+Rakesh Heerah hello hi without watching you play tabla it's hard to advice what need to be done. That's where Physical Guru needs rather than Cyber Guru
Tej, I have a question about tuning of tabla and other instruments like bansuri: if your tabla is tuned to C, do you have to play a C bansuri? Or can you play an E bansuri etc? Also if your tabla is in C, should your tanpura be only in C? How does the tabla tuning fit with other instruments? I love all your videos by the way.
Sir aap nain 15:59 pe rupak ka na na bajay ha sar index finger se bohat speed se bajaya ha kehrva main bhi aap use kartay han plz sir tell me the technique. Bohat koshish ki lekin but failed sir
SM58 is better for tabla. SM57’s are more appropriate for drum kits, trumpets, sax, that kind of instrument that is really loud. Definitely better for live on stage sound. Studio recording levels could be adjusted, so may not make too much of a difference.
hello sir! Merry Christmas to u & family. sir l'm very blessed to have a master like u I'v improved a lot thank u very much sir may god always bless u & ur family.
