Last story reminded me of my dad in the 1950s. He was outside with his buddies, a bottle of beer in hand, when the small town cop (new guy with a chip on his shoulder) stopped and asked him, "Are you 18?"
"Nope."
"Are you 19?"
"Nope."
"Are you 20?"
"Nope."
"You are under arrest for underage drinking."
"I'm 21!"
"Why didn't you say so?"
"You never asked me!"
Grandma Karen, I would have told her from point one that she is an adult and I'm not her servant or family.
But grandma Karen you pay me enough for that
My response would not be polite and would likely have been 5 initials.

For the first story, the guy should have taken the bags off the plane and then turned them into TSA as abandoned luggage.
I would have just told her to "pissoff"!
Flight grandma Karen story: After about the second time she bothered me I would have point blank told her, politely but FIRMLY, that I was neither a part of the flight crew, her servant or any of her children and to stop bothering me before I did complain to the flight crew.
Cake story: IMO, well done OP. Considering it was the "same" company in name only after the founding family left/died off, they weren't entitled to the 10 years anyway.
Car port story: Never interrupt an enemy who's in the process of making a mistake.

"Yeah, and I want a week on a deserted island with Uma Thurman, but we can't get everything in life."
The great grandfather in the last story is lucky because the county is under no obligation to allow him to adjust the property line to make the placement of the building legal. I'm not saying it isn't a good story, but the judge didn't have to dismiss the case and instead forced him to remove the building.
I'm glad I never worked for OP's company...
I have REALLY bad feet (bad genetics combined with too many years climbing ladders in steel-toe shoes with no arch support), the ONLY shoes I can comfortably wear are sneakers or Crocs (rubbery-plastic shoes that quickly mould themselves to your feet and give FANTASTIC support)...
The only way I can wear any other kind of shoe for more than 5 minutes without spending the next day in AGONY unable to walk or stand (even going bare foot is a problem due to how bad my arches are, I shower in my Crocs just so I don't wreck my feet) is if they're custom made Orthotic shoes and would cost at least $550.00 per pair...
Sorry Boss, unless the Company is going to pay for that, not happening! It's either good sneakers or Crocs, there is no Option 3...

I kinda said same to my supervisor when he was giving me crap about wearing thong sandals (desk job) after breaking a toe. I could not wear a typical women's dress shoe .... definitely not heels (which I didn't wear anyway) and not even any kind of a closed toe flat. I tried wearing the cheap foam soled wrap around thing I was given at the hospital (even that put pressure on the splinted broken toe), and he gave me crap about "that unsightly thing".

FYI - knitting on aircraft. Yes you can knit. I’m not sure about any limits on needles since I use knitting looms with smaller tools, but I often pull out my small knitting set on flights these days.

The plane story. The lady was a very irritating person but was not a terrorist. Two completely different types of people.
I had to pretend to be asleep to keep a rude Karen from pestering me the whole flight, she tried poking me once, but I just swung my hand like swatting a fly, and she never tried again. Some people are so self-centered, they can't imagine anyone would think them a bore.
GK: I'm hungry!
Me: What do you expect me to do about that, break out in a rash?
GK: WHY AREN'T YOU GETTING ME MY BOOK?
Me: [In a sinister and VERY PISSED tone of voice] Because I'm not your fucking slave, now get it yourself and stop bothering me, Witch! [puts headphones back on]...

I knew a Guy, 30 years ago, who got taken to Court for building a house without permission. He sat in Court for 2 DAYS listening to the legal B/S. On the 3rd day he was examined. " I don't know why I'm here Judge". Judge.. "You're here because you built a house without permission". Guy. "But Judge, I don't OWN that property". Case Dismissed.. LOL.

Congratulations!!!! The last story earned my first laugh of the day. Seems this a bi-monthly(?) occurrence; me laughing this early (11:51am).
First story: grandma would be cussed, yes cussed, out. I don’t deal with stupidity and entitlement well.

I love the window seat. I don’t understand how people prefer the aisle, but then again, I’m not complaining about it. Nor am I trying to sound rude. But if I got stuck in an aisle seat and someone offered me the window, I would jump at it. But angry grandma is just a piece of crap, who wants to make everybody miserable that stands up to her.

Doesn't matter, they only way they're getting past TSA is in the check-on luggage going in the hold or you smuggle them in...
TSA won't let ANYTHING vaguely weapon like in the passenger cabin...from what I've heard, they don't even want to let the Air Marshals have their Service Pistols, but TSA got Over-Ruled by Homeland Security and/or the FAA...

STORY #1 when the entitled grandma said I've been talking to you since takeoff and you keep ignoring me my response would have been yes I have and I will continue to ignore you for the rest of the flight so leave me alone/ LAST STORY also these are the kinds of stories that get told to the kids when the parents want to prove to them that you don't have to hurt anyone physically if you want to get revenge or just be PETTY AF
