I was that same a-hole that waves quicker cars by going up the straight... while pulling away from them in my primarily home built 2001 SAAB 9-3se which I have $3500 invested into(including purchase price and donor cars, not including fluids). In the rain, I could barely make it around. Ran a 2:25 on the almost bald tires i drove there on. But, in the afternoon, the track dried out and i ran a 1:50.43 on a set of 225/45 17 conp t/a r1's that I pulled out of the tire pile at work. I'm running 330mm front rotors off of an alfa gulia, brembo calipers off of a cobalt ss, hawk dt70 pads donated from a friend that runs one lap of America in an HHR SS, used and cut h&r springs in the ft and eibach's in the rear, Taliaffero imports race rear stabilizer bar(bought used for $50), and alot of fabrication performed by yours truly. Power comes from a bone stock 2.0 with well over 200k on it, a tdo4/19t 11blade($700 from arashi), 60lb/hr injectors(225), do88 intercooler(425 because i have friends)GS downpipe(300 brand new but off of a friend)fabbed to exhaust pieces off of corvettes and a SAABSPORT 2.25" cat-back(which is waaay too small) I'm gonna try to find the videos.... bear with me
Well, they work, but they’re not accurate. There is a tach signal wire you hook the harness up to. They sell a module that converts 6cyl to 8cyl signal. But rb is a 6 cyl so you may not even need that!
It’s not a z06 actually, but I have z06 heads on it, and every z06 suspension upgrade over the coupe I have upgraded over what a z06 would be. Sway bars, shocks, tunnel plate, wheels etc
Hey man I saw your video on your 2017 540 with 50k miles and I wanted to ask a couple questions. I’m looking to buy this 2018 540 it has 54k miles with minor damages they say it’s either dents or bumps no accidents or anything like that. I’m worried that I would have lots of problems with it because of the 54k miles and it being a 2018 what do you think of it ? It has the b58 but idk I’m scared just in case
@@LowBoostFilms Nice! I got 409 on mine. Long headders, stage 3 comp cam, no cat no mufflers. Yellow speed suspension. It's the 4l60E auto though.. just a matter of time before it gives out 😅

C6 Z51 brakes. I can if I have to but I don’t want to heat them up too much.

Haha you never know how long it’ll last. The stage 3 was too high in the rev range for me. I wanted the powerband a little lower.
