- Hello RUclipsrs! Welcome to another episode at a regatta! Today we are at the Scottish Rowing Championships at Strathclyde Park. I have been doing a lot of racing and training in the single scull on the water lately and thought it was a good opportunity to be able to hop in the double with fellow beach sprinter, Gregor Hall, and send it down the track for 2000m. We had a lovely start and then managed to pull away in the second k for a convincing win. It was a pleasure racing back at the park. I hope you enjoy the episode!

Do you prefer rowing the double with the rudder still in? or was that just the way the boat was already set up? I personally usually row without it and steer with the oars, was curious how you felt about that.

Yet another great result especially when you’re up against crews that probably have trained as a double leading up to the Scottish Nationals.
Amazing start then settling for a final call to pull away to the line - totally knocked that ball out of the Strathclyde Part (I did like the pause when you were ‘tactfully’ describing the usual conditions there!!).

The weather on Saturday was horrendous, raced a coxless 4 and it was a nightmare felt like I was coastal rowing haha, great vid btw
