Break it in my opinion. Goal of the series is to buy the porshe, so buying a more expensive car to fix up would be more productive. If you do end up fixing it i'd sell the rear lights and replace with standard ones to increase profit 👍

If you can find a buyer that knows the value of those lights, and you can get 1K+ for the car to break it, then I'd say do that. You've already doubled your money in that case and can move on to the next car which keeps the series exciting. If you could double your money on each one, you'll be there in no time! Great series idea though, can't wait to see the next one!

It’s tempting to want to fix it and get it back on the road, breaking it for the parts seems a logical route for a quick turnaround and will get you to the next project. If it’s rotten that will make the decision for you, I guess!

Don't forget value of interior and doors and boot spoiler plus scrap value. Probs got about 1500-2k just doing that, that'll get you a good head start on trading up to the porsche

Brake it. It’ll be rotten underneath plus if you do fix it, it is still a CAT car. You get your investment back on engine alone. Then a £1k for rear end, £150 for alloys, £150 for doors, £100 for seats and steering wheel, £200 scrap. £1600 potential profit maybe more. You won’t get that profit fixing it up.

Fixing it up will be best move for channel views. Hard to say until the front is off and you’ve looked underneath. The quick glimpse underneath as it went on the trailer showed it as not being covered in rust but that stuff in the trunk could be the tip of an iceberg, I guess. Just those two places could be done, though. I pulled the front out of a crashed Citroen BX by using straps and tugging on it with a Passat wagon. By having someone sitting in the BX with the brakes hard on and me backing up the Passat with strap front to front I could see how much I was pulling it out without overdoing it. Better than backing up with the front tied to a tree in my opinion - can’t see what’s happening. Still a bodge method but it worked for me - all the replacement panels and parts went on straight. Good luck, whichever way you go. 👍🏻
