Biggest reason people drop random wards: they don't ward often enough and have 2 trinket charges so they just drop a random ward so the cooldown of the 2nd trinket ward starts

Once I was playing mid and my autofilled jg threw a tantrum for not getting top so he picked yuumi and attached to our top. I was forced to take smite but I was playing akali so steals were as easy as ever
Tbf this probably wouldn't work too well in other cases but it can work out with some thought

For those of us starting out, is "low elo" just anyone new to the game, or does it have a more specific meaning?
@@vtmegrad98 Low elo means everyone Platinum I or under. High elo starts at Diamond IV. However, I believe people start paying attention on wards at Silver III or II, but still not as much as it is needed.
@@vtmegrad98 "low elo" is a term that can be stretched to describe different elo spans. Id say low elo is iron to low plat, but there isnt really a fixed definiton for it.

Always always go ward with one or two people. If our jungler did crab and we have prio i ping adc or support or jungle to come help me ward blue so that if someone tries to kill me we can retaliate or steal a buff if its up.

don’t worry. In low elo many people who attempt ganks overrate the fact that enemy team has vision on your gank path. It’s not guaranteed that they spot you on the minimap and if your lane engages before you arrive it will be even more difficult for them to a) pay attention to map and b) escape.
Dude, even in Gold / Low Plat you can literally walk through a ward and get ganks done 60% of the time

the Problem you are talking about is a general problem in low elo, cause in low elo people thnik, the only thing that makes a good player is kills.
I once played TF on my smurf, to play with a friend who was new to leauge, the whole team was flaming me, because the TF ultimate is so weak because it "only" reveals all enemys and gives you a fast port
Not only that. Macro play in general is extremely hard for low elo players. I was gold for like 6 years. Without a lot of game experience or studying, a low elo like myself was far too focused on micro play in lane (lane pressure, dodging skill shots, wave management, ganks, etc) to be worried about which jungler is ahead or how much pressure mid lane was facing. Being able to focus more on lane was one of the reason I mained top: less options made successful choices much less overwhelming.
@@GoFidoGo it must be fun playing ranked. I can't play it because there will be an afk and it's usually the jungler. My champion pool is also limited because I always choose fill meaning my champion pool are a distribution of champions suitable for each lane.

I see why people do #4, but really those types of pressures never last long enough for the ward to be worth it. Low-elo solo queue, your target demographic, doesn't know how to keep up the pressure to keep that ward alive.
As a solo queue specifically, it's honestly smarter to do the pink in the tri, and normal ward in river (but that one is always dependent on whether or not you have river warded already via mid or jungler). Otherwise, you're telling your viewers that keeping that ward alive is valuable, and they'll throw stupid deaths trying to keep up pressure that they don't know how to actually establish.
ngl half the time im warding is for the vision score because bullshit mechanic doesnt give me an s rank with 20/0 5cs/min if i dont place em
So basically instead of putting the ward where you usually do, go into the enemy jungle and put it there. But how is one gonna know where their jungler is and not end up inting into them?

Paying attention to where leashes start and having knowledge on the jungle route of the enemy champ
Watch Coach Curtis's video on Jungling. ruclips.net/video/jYQu9AM8WR4/видео.html He also has another on Mid Lane Fundamemntals "Jungle Tracking" but this is the one that I watched most recently. Basically: If they're strongest Level 2 gankers like Rammus or Nunu try to ward at around 2:10. If they're not then you can ward at around 2:40 to 3:20 on the side they're pathing toward. Watch which enemy laners show map first to get a rough idea of where the enemy jungler started. Of course, leashless openers such as Kayn Raptors should be considered if no hints are available. Their first side clear will respawn at around the 4 to 5 minute mark. And their first buff respawns at around the 6:50 mark. Beyond that just pay attention to the game state and check your mini map frequently to get an idea of where he is. He has to show eventually and until he does he's probably on that predictable circuit. And once he shows you can check his CS count or buffs or keep an eye on game timers to figure out what camps they might still have up and where they'd default to once the game returns to a lull state, they take a recall, or they die.
pathing. If you see the jungler top then they’re gonna take their top camps and then head to bot. After they take their bot camps they’ll head back up and then keep going back and forth
@@xEmpress95 just to extend on this: avoiding early ganks are the most important as almost all junglers need early kills to really snowball (there are some exceptions, e.g. eve) and that is when their pathing is most predictable. If you don't give them that early boost sometimes your teammates will but your overall winrate will increase nonetheless.
Also watch your lane opponent, if they don't rotate, jungler will usually have hard time to win the 1v1 and chase you down (while they almost guaranteed to have a couple of abilities on CD because they used it on a monster), if your lane opponent rotates they lose minions to tower - and now you also know enemy jungler is very likely to be around, since forcing a 1v1 instead of picking up the minion gold doesn't worth it otherwise. If you are in silver (maybe even gold?) this might not apply - in that case I guess just focus on laning fundamentals to get out of there as soon as possible and return to this issue later.

for the ahri situation there is another possibility, not the biggest here as elise is doing drake but still, with this ward she would lost vision over elise as well if she try to gank mid on the way back and she come from the patch behind blue.
Overall the concept behind vision is split in 2 situation direct vision and prehemptive vision
- Direct vision is the kind of ward like ahri's situation in bush where generaly you are stuck in your lane and you cant facecheck to put deeper vision, you have to secure the area around you, there is a lot of case where you put vision little by little to regain area controle
- Prehemptive vision (also can call somehow deep vision), is the way of putting visions as far as possible to anticipate as far as possible, its somehow like the explication earlier with lux warding around blue when they are pushing. That kind of vision generaly revolve around choke point that are deeper in the jungle, tri-path way bush behind blue and wolves, the area between blue and gromp, the pathway between bush and between krugs and red, and finaly the crows bush with those 4 choke point only lane gank is possible, but you cant allways afford to ward there.
There are timing and ways to optimize thos ward but overall thats the idea and there are closest wards but nearly as optimal to use, vision is a huge topics but the biggest issues is that even at higher rank FOR GOD SAKES no one fucking wards !!! this gets me so mad when i see challenger never buy pink when they back !
I think Riot should change it so that wards only add to your vision score if it sees an enemy as the only source of vision. I also think you should get some small addition to your score if the enemy clears your ward, as they deemed it important enough to deny. This would encourage people to place meaningful wards, and stop placing silly ones. One argument against this is that placing a ward that never sees an enemy isn't necessarily a bad ward. And I would agree. Knowing where the enemy isn't can be as important as know where they are. But, those wards will still reward you with LP.
you forgot the deep ward in lane especially in the 2 pillars in mid,it will help you alot for tracking the enemy's movements whether they will recall and ofcourse to track enemy champions who like to roam like taliyah,galio and twisted fate
As a support main I always do deep wards, so I can just spam "!" And be ignored by my adc. 🙃

You definitely missed top river bush near midlane ward when you place it badly, it leaves small fow near wall
Yep, before I relized it, I died on it 4 times in different games.
The ward in 3:40 is also bad because u dont see the whole brush, or more important if u place a pink there and the enemy has a ward at the other side, your vision range wont be enough to see and cancel it
Also: the ward at 5:15 is good if u are sett, because the ward at the bottom end of the brush wont see a gank if the jungler is hugging the wall and comes from red
In low Elo (I would know) gameplay is very different, and ppl play unexpectedly and will solo roam for kills. Even if jngs going bot I’d still ward river cause it would pick up info before expire, plus if your ward is up, get it on CD ASAP so it’s back up for next objective no?
Reason for the 5th ward in the bush (for me personally) is because of the explosing plant / champs with dashes that could go into this bush without beeing seen.
Would it be smart to put a pink ward into the bush between blue/explosing plant?
How did that zed have the push on the lane? 3 minions fron the previous wave+ a new wave just crashed in thebcenter of the wave, how would zed have the advantage to push it?
Im in bronze right now this season a mid laner and may team is so bad so i place wards where it should be and it gaved a ton of information for my bad teammates also why i mostly win cuz my teammates can easily avoid danger cuz of my ward placing and it really helps the jungler in our team.
So yeah placing wards in right places gives a huge impact in game.
i dont get that midlane sidebrush example. whats the purpose of this ward and why do you have to change the position depending on the enemy midlaner?

That blast plant is useless if you have lane prio and placed a ward on blue buff to see the jungler transitioning anyways.

Warding blue to get caught and killed by the enemy yeh i dont think so
I don't think that is a solid argument to not put the normal ward in the bush and put a pink instead while pushing bot lane. That pink is going to be cleared out the second you recall. Then you have to buy a control ward each time you come back to the lane which is ridiculous. You are literally giving their support 30 coins whenever you put a pink there. The point is to put the pink somewhere they don't usually check. 10 out of 10 support players put a ward there and notice the pink and since it's in the middle of the lane they can and will risk and stay to clear it out. On top of that, the pink in our bush is not useless at all since their jungler can still gank from there while invading bot side jungle. Put a normal ward but not in the bush a little higher in the river so by the time their jungler gets to the bush you have already backed off and if it dies, well, renew it! You have 4 wards as a support.
I buy 2 control wards every single time I back xD but yea I do agree that the pink ward shld stay in the try bush cuz the enemy jg can also gank from there and not just from the river

You are losing 10-15 sec max. Do it when the enemy wave is almost cleared and ping your adc to be careful.
@@ericblair5728 just seems like a lot could go wrong. Plenty of jungle and bushes to get got. Plus the long walk back to your lane or jgl anything could go wrong. Maybe it's the low elo I'm in. Expecting my adc to respond to my pings is hopeful.

The 2nd makes no sense, you're basically saying putting a ward in the back bush near tower while you're pushed up is useless but then any jungler with the ability to jump walls can just go through dragon pit and sneak through the unwarded bush, by the time the tower and or minions spot the jungles you've now been pinched into a 3v2, sure warding the enemy blue is good and provides vision of the jungler but you are providing vision of someone who is currently not a threat at all vs when they're literally right behind you :/

when do you use sweeper vs wards as a jungler?
Sweeper when pathing to gank, invade, counter jungle, or dragon / herald. Regular ward is only for niche situations like being Lee Sin / Jax or you have Umbral Glaive which is an automatic sweeper every 40 seconds until it finds a ward

This would be helpful but I still see supports take the sweeper without even using the wards from their support item. They type that they are getting spam ganked even though the top and adc have placed more wards than them. Make a video called how to use your damn wards in low elo.
idk, my elo is around D4 and usually my vision score rarely crosses 10 points per game (I main top 🤗), but I have good knowledge of farming, grouping, fighting etc. And mostly, I don't need to put vision if I see enemy jungler is on bot all the time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This video...... it has me on mixed opinions. The information in the video is not wrong. However, the root of the warding problems mentioned in this video comes from lack of knowledge rather than “this spot bad and this spot good”. It’s like every warding spot could be bad, or good, depending on the state of the lane or state of the game overall. It’s a case of knowledge rather than a “how to ward” instruction manual. The key factor being, the good vs bad warding spots constantly change as the game changes, and making the smart vs dumb warding choices is based on knowledge and understanding, which isn’t easy to teach players silver or lower.

Me as support, sees enemy team's support have 20+ vision score so I randomly put wards anywhere to contest which of us could have a higher vision score.

"Wasted wards"... you mean increasing vision score for that S? Ward placing in low elo (and lower) isn't always about vision, especially when the rest of the "team" isn't looking and doesn't have your back when placing wards. Are these tips useful? Absolutely. Are you neglecting to comment on a major objective to spam wards? Yes.
your vision score is actually calculated by tons of useful factors: if the ward spots an enemy, if the ward is redundant (has minion vision, double stacked), if your ward spots another ward, the length of time the ward lasts, if the ward is in enemy territory (or has vision of enemy jg camps or neutral objectives).
if ur spamming wards just to get a higher vision score, thinking that the only thing that matters is the amount that you place per game, then you're also wasting wards for whatever bullshit objective you're reaching for.
Also vision is only useful if you/your teammates actually know how to use the information. Like you have no idea how many ganks happen with full vision of the enemy jungler. The team just forgets to check the minimap. Or does check it but it's too late. Or does check it but decides that a level 3 can 1v2 a level 6 and level 7 and so allows himself/herself to get ganked.
Sadly even with the wards people are blind, like me sometimes I'm just not super focused in on the game and I don't look. Then I usually end up dying.

What my teammates see:
stop placing wards
My elo is high gold but my vison score is bronze level every game, i just dont know how to get better at warding.
use a beep video to condition yourself for exemple.
Like you go on youtube and you just type for exemple "2 minutes beep video" and you are gonna have video hour long that does a sound signal every 2 minutes.
Before you start a game you just prepare what you want to train, checking mini map, looking at summoners of ally, checking level or items of opponant, actualy buying wards, anything you want to learn, you think of it before lunching a game and then you start the "beep video"
When the sound pop it will just trigger your memory to remember what you wanted to train, and of course you are gonna forget at start like "crap i forget to buy a pink", then another beep "omg i forget again" and so on until you just dont forget, and at some point you wont need the video everytime you back you just think of buying pinks.
Then obviously you have to think of using them and if possible using them an optimal way, but even using basic ward is allready big.
Like you are mid or jungle just go and put a pink in those little bush in middle of the river, it covers a lot, its not perfect but still its something !

Don't pay too much attention to that vision score ranking I looked up such pros like the shy, showmaker they're getting below bronze/mid plat vision scores most of the games so it really just depends on the game
@@Gwidas78 Yes and no, score vision is an indication, its not an absolute yes but still if you just ward a little bit you should never have such low value.
But yes sometime score gets low because you can buy 8 pink ward everywhere but no one goes much around so of course it wont give you much vision BUT because you have vision on a spot and no one passes by mean, no information is an information as the enemy jungle for exemple is on the oter side of the map or so.
So having vision is allways important no matter what.

5:36 That ward is kind of useless. To go that deep into the enemy just to see him after he finish the Wolfs... After he finish the Blue how I know where he goes? Do Gromp, break the cone plant, go into the river and gank top or invade the enemy jg, go to gank mid? Maybe he even recall and I'm too scared to push the wave to get some free plates.
it's rather useful just to know where their jg is. the ward they show, or one close to it, will always catch their jg when they take gromp/blue. if you see them doing those camps, you know you may be ganked amd can avoid all-ins until you know the jg is somewhere else. it also tells the rest of your team that jg is topside. this allows bot to shove or all-in, your own jg to gank mid or bot without fear of countergank, or to take an obj for free, in this case dragon.
Wards last more than 1 wave
