9:04 just a tip from a low elo player, don't go back if you miss clicked and didn't buy your yellow trinket, game gives it to you when you leave inhibitor towers. This should save you a few seconds
Can Hector do a guide where he explains how to best manage the minion wave at any given moment and have a game over it? :) Edit: Preferably managing waves in laning phase. Especially against lane bullies e.g. anyone vs ghost darius :(

If you let Darius crash the wave then it will push back to him and if he's competent, you won't be able to cs at all until your jungler helps you crash the wave on his tower possibly leading to a counter gank and giving up a double kill which might give up the whole game
i know these kinds of "tips and tricks"/"top 5" videos do really well in the modern youtube and they bring more money, but what I would absolutely love to see is to see a whole, uncut match commentated by the player (live vo and recorded afterwards are both fine) that would explain all the decisions such as why place that ward, why place it exactly here, why buy this item instead of this one etc. I'm sure there are a lot of people that would like to see that as well. omg i'm so happy to hear this ! i'm a low elo support player, and i do block the minions before they hit tower to give my adc the time to come back from base and not miss any farm :D yay
one thing i really like is "fake pushing" where you basically auto attack aggressively on to the minions. Sometimes enemys tend to mirror this and also push, however at some point i start to last hit only, while they push in. It is really effective to setup ganks, or to setup an engage support. (got this trick from viper vs zirene, where Viper faked a push and got lvl 3 before zirene earlier just because of it)
Hey! I’ve been abusing cheater recalls on winning matchups in top lane. I’m a diamond 2/1 top laner. I’m just curious what you do if the enemy jungler shows top once you’ve developed your slow push on the second wave? Now the enemy can freeze and you can no longer get xp because the threat of a gank. Warding really doesn’t even matter. I’ve had the enemy jungler use a sweeper on a ward I used in the tri Bush when I was on the second wave. I got completely destroyed because I was no longer able to get xp for the rest of the game pretty much. Do I just hope that they don’t come and flip a coin? I’m also a little curious when I should be running to the dragon in the mid game compared to pressuring the side lane first and then teleporting for the drake fight
What I'm thinking is you need to stay on your creeps and fight the gank. You have a big wave so it's pretty much a 2v2. If it's obvious that you'll die then just make sure you kill someone too, so it's a 1 for 1 and when you're back to lane you can actually fight your enemy to break the freeze because you've cashed in a item too. If the one to survive is the jungler he might not even keep the freeze and let it bounce because it's so early he has to go farm or contest vision/scuttle somewhere near bottom lane, which will reset everything allowing you to keep playing the lane as usual, even in an advantage because the wave you were cheater recalling will crash but the enemy toplaner won't be there to catch gold or XP.
Hector, just do more of these man, you have the PERFECT VO tone and voice, and you do not sound cocky, arrogant, nor overly confident that some of your coworkers do (which I know isn't intentional, just saying)! Solid stuff!

I wanna know the answer to this question too. In this particular situation I would have gone bot anyway because Ezreal is gonna need me soon since our wave is pushing towards them. I would like to better understand roaming though.
Daniel Glidewell that is true, though I think there would’ve been enough time to see mid before ezreal got all minions under tower. And it’s the same with me, I really like to have a better understanding of Roaming, because I find myself having trouble with that :P
9:05 you can actually just leave the base without manually buying the yellow trinket- it automatically populates once you fully leave base (not the fountain) Great video though!
Like Dorian blade on ADC I am having luck buying dark seal on control mage supports like Janna and Lux. Would work on Morgana etc. It sells back well if need be, helps potions, great with refillable...and is great for high harass and sustain if your popping off. I know this was a thing for champs like singed but with auto upgrade in support items ive been looking to what I can buy especially if ahead or we feel strong. Spell thief and dark seal are great as all the new support items auto upgrade now as well. Sometimes when I think about selling it in a rough game I'll get 3-5 assists and suddenly it has value again, mind you it's better than an empty slot, and more value than most.I don't recommend sitting in it having a yard sale for itemization.
did you think about some more supp guides? supp is important in season 10 and its a lot less supp guides than for any other role. as supp is macro hard role and have a lot of tanks & mages i think it help other lanes as well

Yea a simple advice for every supp main, make sure to look into top mid or ADC so you actually learn how to manipulate lanes, I'm noticing how much it helped me
When building a minion lead as thresh wouldn't it be better to just tank the wave before it crashes to force the enemy minions to single-target only one of your own minions, killing it before cait and morg arrive denying them the exp. The wave would then also slow push back towards you which gives you the oppertunity to scare them away with the level two advantage and then set up a freeze or just al-inning them if they try to contest it. Right now sure ez and thresh aren't getting poked, but thresh can't really hook either and after lvl 2 or 3 morg should have her black shield which makes it even harder to go for all-ins.

I am mid elo player and what i use to do when jgling is that most of the time, players dont reach lvl 3 with their 3rd camp and so if i have a good duelist, i finish my 3rd camp and run towards him to kill him with a lvl 2 vs lvl 3 advantage

9:25 , i disagree about renekton having a strong lvl 1. Renekton does not have a strong level 1 , since the only abilities he can use to trade , is his Q or W. But he has a strong level 2 and 3 , but not lvl 1.
so while for the other lanes it takes skill cause champs dont matter. top lane examples only revolves around champs strong at level 1? yup great guide this will def help for champs who arent good at level 1
Very very interested to hear why Hector thinks renekton is a strong lvl 1 champion. He gets hard outdueled by the other 3 champs he mentions at level 1 and RTO (master tier renekton main) considers renekton's level 1 to be very weak, as do I.
I don't get why my team feeds every game. I even started playing top lane for some matches to see if the bot, jungle and mid still lose their lanes every game to make sure I'm not just imagining it, and they still keep losing without me or my enemy ever roaming. With the logic that if my teammates are stupid then are the enemies, my teammates should win 50% of the time.
I am a Shen main. Know that whenever a teammate died, it's partially your fault. If you don't play Shen then focus on making it easier for you to roam if you are stronk or weaken your enemy through wave management to make it easier for your team to handle. But seriously, unless you are playing against literal gods, dying is never the end of the world. Is your bot dying too much or you can tell its a bad match up? Make sure you are higher levels than their bot and switch when they back. Tell them to switch. As a midlander you are made to roam and as a top lane you are meant to draw pressure. Internalise those aspects and you'll be fine.
