I run in palo duro canyon in Texas it’s mostly sunny very bright conditions on dirt of course do you think the trail torch would be beneficial in that environment or would you recommend different lenses ?
Do you find them too dark when mountain biking in the woods? Considering on getting a pair of these but where I ride the trees are pretty dense and not a lot of sunlight comes in. Thanks
I am a runner - I have these with the road lens, and I sometimes forget I’m wearing them and run through trails. However, the road lens is too dark for trail. I also have the “trail” (not torch) which are good for covered trails unless it’s very dark. I haven’t tried the trail torch yet. I have quite a small nose and was sceptical about the sutro (I have the regular, not the S, I prefer the oversized look) because I thought they’d slip but they genuinely don’t. They’re light and grippy. When I am under trees I put them on my head, or in the slots in my helmet and honestly I’ve never had them move. Also, for me, the optics of Oakley are worth the cost. I can honestly say I fall over more trail running when I’m wearing cheap glasses and when I’m cycling I’d never wear aftermarket cheap lenses again after crashing and having my Oakley lens scratch right across the middle.
The only comparison I can make is to Smith’s ChromaPop technology. The ChromaPop definitely darkens the trail a bit more than Prizm Trail. They both do really well at increasing the contrast on the trail though
I think it’s more personal preference. I have a small-regular size head and wear the regular sutro because I like the oversized look. In actual glasses frames I used to wear the smaller end of adult frame sizes.
wearing goggles just trail riding is awful idk how you did that. it's too much climbing and too Hott to use goggles or a full face trail riding. if you're riding a park and have a lift then sure go for it, I do. but for trail riding glasses and a half shell are a must. the only option really.
Got mine today. Nice purchase. Thanks bro
No problem, hope ya like em!
Nice
Thanks for taking the time to review these sunglasses
No problem!

I like them in sunny open conditions, any significant shade makes it a bit dark. For your application I think the trail torch lenses would work well.
@@VentureMTB I appreciate that a lot thanks !
Are the mirror coated or its just the reflections from light that make it look mirror?

They definitely darken the trail a bit, but I ride with a lot of tree cover and I find it to be fine.

Nice review, thx! Also, what is your experience with prizm trail lense, does is do anything compared to other glasses?

Good review.how tall are u ? Seems the regular sutro might fit you better.
I’m 5’11, I like the small Sutros just fine
I have eye glasses myself. Can you put your prescription in these? I don't wear contacts which is why I ask.
Unfortunately I do not think you can put prescription lenses in these
Is there a way to determine what size I need to get? I can’t find a size chart anywhere

"If you gotta big honker.." priceless hahaha
Lol thanks

It's great until you face plant..
these glasses are awesome and well worth the price tag which is not that bad as far as good sunglasses go
They are pretty sweet! Still rocking mine!
these glasses are good for people with eyes close together?
I would say they are better for people with eyes close together.
Sick shades. You look like X-Men’s Cyclops!
Lol thanks!
What size helmet do you wear? Don't know if I should go for the S or regular Sutros
My Giro Fixture is a Universal fit, but I believe my other helmets are mediums
I have a small head. Bought Sutros, they fall off of my face when riding.
Moving towards Sutro S.
Only real review on here. Not just spouting back marketing jumbo.
Thanks I try to keep it honest!
Yep absolutely massive ears. Got to trim them. Or let the trails trim them, find some sharp ivy
I’ll get right on that
Man I’d use those for snowboarding 🏂
Niceee
Nice review. 👍
Thanks!
Nice eyeglasses idol perfect for biking
They’re really good!
Your ears are regular size and this Sutro S suits your face 👍👍 Perfect fit
Haha thanks!
you could of went with the regular sutros they look kinda small on you
I find the fit quite suitable
Agree, they look too narrow for my taste
