I really enjoyed this - I loved hearing Christabel's thoughts on tapestry! And the thought that tapestry can be really interesting in itself, without having to imitate painting etc. Thank you for sharing this beautiful work!
I would love to learn to weave. Christabel's work is gorgeous, really lovely. I like what she said about "mistakes" leading to more layered, detailed areas of the overall piece. Very much enjoyed this - but it's not long enough!😁
I got interested in tapestry from seeing tapestries of old such as the Unicorn Tapestries and other such things from the age when it was originally a very important art. I find it super-weird, by contrast, that contemporary tapestry is so boring, but I guess I'm glad people can make a living doing that, as it's a thing I might like to do. Not sure how you get into selling your tapestries or getting commissions though.
Christabel, forgive me if this is a silly question but what kind of loom are you using? What information would I need to find one; make and so on. Thank you
I can't imagine the patience involved in the process of weaving , it's beautiful but looks so incredibly complex, it amazes me.
As a handknitter with a lisp which I can’t hear, it was so lovely to hear her talk about her craft. 🧶💕🤓
I'm the same! I'm in my late 30s and no one ever told me! 😂 I started doing films and heard myself speaking...I call it a "relaxed S" x
Everything you guys create is so beautiful. Love the channel-and this short, of course.
Hipster level 9000, if you pass this level you become Guru
Lovely short film about the intersection between craft and art, would like to see more / know more!

Have a look at Saori weaving - using small affordable looms that are perfect for small spaces...
Stunning work!
She seems very nice and the work is well balanced

Just looked up the music - Perception by Borrtex
Amazing!
This video very interesting
It would have been nice if you showed the entire process of what you did with the inverted ˋć before weaving
Fascinating to watch. Why New Zealand wool, is it better or cheaper??
